    At 14.30 you said that because of the back bonding only the CO bond gets affected, not the M-C bond. But because of the back donation M-C bond will get stronger and shorter and M-C stretching frequency will increase. Clarify me if I am wrong.

    • @missnida8346
      @missnida8346 6 років тому

      By this he doesnt mean that M-C bond doesnt get affected it will affected ..he meant that we are considering here CO bonding and ir spectra..that dependa on only CO bond strenth...he wanted to get our attention towards CO strengtha not of M-C strenth

    Sir, Is there any dependence of number of CO ligand present on stretching frequency of C=O bond?? I hope if number of CO increases then the effect of back donation to pi(*) will distribute to all the CO bond and hence the affect will decrease.

    Hi sir I have a question regarding nucleophile ,basically nucleophiles are divided into 3 type 1) species with negative charge. 2) species with lone pair of electron. 3 ) species with multiple Bond, in electrophile also three types, 1) species with positive charge 2) species with Delta positive charge , my question is why we only take Delta positive as a electrophile and why we don't a delta negative as a nucleophile ? Because my teacher said only be categorised nucleophile by this 3 I am asking you sir this is right or wrong?
