    sir! In miessler and tarr,I have found that they have given octahedron for 6 skeletal atoms and pentagonal bipyramidal for 7 skeletal atom.so which table we have to follow?

    sir,in house craft books one similar type of tables has been given in page no -717 but on the basis of total electron count where when if TEC =90 then the geometry should be trigonal prism and also one example is solved in this books,i.e. for [Os6(co)18P]-(WITH ONE NEGATIVE CHARGE) BUT when i go through your tables and findind the SEP i got 9 for this same comolex which means it has dodecahedron geometry,how this two geometry co-relate ,i have checked ,these two geometries are totally different.which is correct please told me.

    Sir , I think the Geometries tbp is for SE=7 , and in that way all the other Geometries are shifted from their SE values ,,, as written on the Board

    sir it not work for Rh6C(CO)15with 2 negative. question in dec. 2106. Acc to u S.E =9 dodecahedron. but ans is trigonal prism ....... dodecahedron is not in option of csir net dec 2k16

      Formula to be used is
      (TVE-(12*n)-(2*n))/2. Where the first 'n' represent the number of transition metal and the second 'n' represent the number of main group element. When solved we get 10 SEP and hence its structure is tricapped trigonal prism

    Can you please explain how to calculate the structure of (Rh6 C (CO)15)-2. SEP comes out to be 9. So the structure should be decahedron. But the correct answer is trigonal prism. Can you please explain sir?

    sir, in complex os6(co)18 the S.E=6 so a/c to u the geometory should be trigonal bi pyramidal but the answer is capped trigonal bipyramidal.are the both same

    Sir according to you if skeletal electron pair is 9 then Dodecahedron geometry.
    But csir ans for the compound RhC(CO)15 with 2 negative charge is trigonal prism which contain 9 electron pair.
