at 29:14 Metal will gain slight electropositive character due to deficient of electrons... everything is explained nicely with good tactics. Thank you and keep resuming this wonderful work.
Sir u r very hardworking and at the same tym calm and patient that evn aftr technicl issue u keep on teachng so calmly that ovrpowers these typ of things in this video.thanku for ur efforts..
Sirr ..place that mirror which is behind the board ...in front of camera while filmjng so that you can see from the place where you are teachingg...and plz make an video or tell me a book about boron hydrid..
Sir plz upload a video about how to find out no. Of bridging carbonyl ligand in a organometallic compound and also finding out the no. Of M-M bond and bridging carbonyl simultaneously.
a big thanku for such kind of precise videos as well preparation strategies when the exam is knocking at the door..will u please give some lecture on raman spectroscopy?
sir! In miessler and tarr,I have found that they have given octahedron for 6 skeletal atoms and pentagonal bipyramidal for 7 skeletal atom.so which table we have to follow?
sir,in house craft books one similar type of tables has been given in page no -717 but on the basis of total electron count where when if TEC =90 then the geometry should be trigonal prism and also one example is solved in this books,i.e. for [Os6(co)18P]-(WITH ONE NEGATIVE CHARGE) BUT when i go through your tables and findind the SEP i got 9 for this same comolex which means it has dodecahedron geometry, how this two geometry co-relate ,i have checked ,these two geometries are totally different.which is correct please told me.
sir it not work for Rh6C(CO)15with 2 negative. question in dec. 2106. Acc to u S.E =9 dodecahedron. but ans is trigonal prism ....... dodecahedron is not in option of csir net dec 2k16
Formula to be used is (TVE-(12*n)-(2*n))/2. Where the first 'n' represent the number of transition metal and the second 'n' represent the number of main group element. When solved we get 10 SEP and hence its structure is tricapped trigonal prism
Can you please explain how to calculate the structure of (Rh6 C (CO)15)-2. SEP comes out to be 9. So the structure should be decahedron. But the correct answer is trigonal prism. Can you please explain sir?
In case of( fe4c(co)12)4_ u r not contributing carbon while substracting it as 12 *n while in case of co2B8c2h10(cp)2 u substracting ....pls explain..is we HV to subtract when both r present only???
In your last example where both transition and non transition atom is present you calculate SE predict the geometry of complex if we want know its is closo nido aur arachano..then ???
sir, in complex os6(co)18 the S.E=6 so a/c to u the geometory should be trigonal bi pyramidal but the answer is capped trigonal bipyramidal.are the both same
Sir what is the geometry of [ReH9]2_ ? According to you geometry is Dodecahedron. But csir and is tricapped trigonal prism... Dec 2016 set B , question no 80. Sir plz kindly check it
Sir, if both polyene attached with metal are aromatic and even no. Of carbon then where nucleophile will attack (no. Of carbon is different in both polyene....
Sir Co2BaC2H10(Cp)2...here how 70-12*2-2*10 12*2 I could understand.how 2-2*10...here non transition elements Ba,C know..then how..pls explain sir..this question at 18:27 in the video..my doubt is that no.of non transition elements how it is 10.pls sir
The geometry provided here for SeP is arranged in wrong order if I'm not wrong. Shouldn't it be octahedron for 6, pentagonal bipyramid for 7? Please clarify.
Great videos sir!!! One suggestion regarding y ur videos stop recording I'm between is that you might be getting msgs or calls on your phone ,in such instances video stops recording, try recording videos in airplane mode ....
Sir according to you if skeletal electron pair is 9 then Dodecahedron geometry. But csir ans for the compound RhC(CO)15 with 2 negative charge is trigonal prism which contain 9 electron pair. Sir PL kindly reply ....
Sir in ( fe4 c CO12)2- why u not considered carbon metal ...like u done after calculating TVE ....to find skeleton electron pair... shouldn't it be like( 62-4.12-2.1)÷2
at 29:14 Metal will gain slight electropositive character due to deficient of electrons...
everything is explained nicely with good tactics. Thank you and keep resuming this wonderful work.

it was really helpful..... thanks Dada......
Sir, in Mungo's rule if two polyenes have odd number of carbons then nucleophile attacks or not.
After the attack of nucleophile in Mingos & Greevs Rule, what will be the compound final structure? What will be the final hapticity of ligand?
sir,in house craft books one similar type of tables has been given in page no -717 but on the basis of total electron count where when if TEC =90 then the geometry should be trigonal prism and also one example is solved in this books,i.e. for [Os6(co)18P]-(WITH ONE NEGATIVE CHARGE) BUT when i go through your tables and findind the SEP i got 9 for this same comolex which means it has dodecahedron geometry, how this two geometry co-relate ,i have checked ,these two geometries are totally different.which is correct please told me.
Sir , I think the Geometries tbp is for SE=7 , and in that way all the other Geometries are shifted from their SE values ,,, as written on the Board
Sorry Sir , Geometry pbp is for SE=7
Thx i finally got a interesting chemistry explaner ....method is too effective
Thank you sir... Very nice collection both closo, neido type.. As well as geometry..

Sir did you find the correct solution for this? Plz reply sir
Formula to be used is
(TVE-(12*n)-(2*n))/2. Where the first 'n' represent the number of transition metal and the second 'n' represent the number of main group element. When solved we get 10 SEP and hence its structure is tricapped trigonal prism
deebika baskar hi mam. ...here by applying that formula we got 8 SEP.how u got 10 SEP ? can u plz explain ?
Can you please explain how to calculate the structure of (Rh6 C (CO)15)-2. SEP comes out to be 9. So the structure should be decahedron. But the correct answer is trigonal prism. Can you please explain sir?
Thank you soo much sir..... Very greatful for ur work 🙏
Sir, can you explain why you didnt subtract 2n from [Fe4(C)(Co)12]2- eventhough carbon is present.
The struture of Os4(CO)16 is square planar not pentogonal bipyramidal
In case of( fe4c(co)12)4_ u r not contributing carbon while substracting it as 12 *n while in case of co2B8c2h10(cp)2 u substracting ....pls explain..is we HV to subtract when both r present only???
Why did you not consider the C atom for se calculation in Fe4C(CO)12 2-
please tell me that whether geometry depends on SE pairs or NO. OF VERTEX ( and whether no. of vertex = SE pairs or Not)
thank u very much sir plz keep going on to upload these videos
