Wow. You gave me so much extra insight. I introduced my sons to rap with tupac and then eminem. They got the whole rhythm. I still don't. My oldest can spit like eminem, seriously. It blows my mind. It means so much to see a black man's response. It was so damned awesome how you were like, dont mess with Cheddar Bob!!!!!! God bless.
The moment he says "And I know something about you" everyone immediately knows that he's gone from ripping up the play book to going straight for the throat.
I was a Mormon missionary from utah that ended up going to Detroit for my 2 year mission, my apartment was on 8 mile when this was being filmed , had no idea what it was but man he nondiea what I was in for, man I loved it tho! Best experience of my life! Love the people of Detroit!
I was a LDS missionary from Nevada that went to Washington DC and Baltimore area in the early 80s when rap first started going mainstream there was Kurtis Blow, Sugar Hill Gang, Grand Master Flash and the Furious 5. Was a definitely a culture shock kicking in the hood but a great experience love the people in DC and Baltimore.
For Eminem's battle with Papa Doc, he asked the real actor (Anthony Mackie) for some backstory on him and used it in this final battle so his reaction was true
What ppl always seem to miss is when B Rabbit is done with Clarence and sits down to wait for the response while bopping his head to the beat, there’s a moment where he looks up surprised (even a bit stunned). He had no idea he COULD shut him down. We always feel like B Rabbit had that intention from the jump, but he really didn’t. He was just as surprised as Clarence at his inability to respond
It keeps killing me to see people in the comments say Em wrote every line. He wrote all of his lines for the battles. All the lines from other battlers in the movie with the exception of Proof were written by Craig G from the Juice Crew. It's even well documented on the movie's dvd extras.
Eminem deserved the oscar he got for the soundtrack, but he should have got one for the acting. If it was anybody else who acted it, I feel like they would have won best actor for that portrayal
Dude I f*ckin LOVE your reactions seriously. So nice to get reacts to Eminem stuff when the person actually knows the majority of the history behind it too. You appreciate it the same way I do and please never stop haha much love fam!
My husband and I aren't particularly rap fans, however, you do see talent, and you gotta give credit where credit is due. Plus... His acting was terribly underrated. P.s. Check out some Beastie Boys. Check your Head, Sabotage, Shake your Rump, Intergalactic.
lose yourself was the first eminem song i ever heard on the radio when i was 12... and fell in love with eminem since... The eminem show came out at the same time and is still my favorite cd... and during all this time i never really thought how crazy it was that he actually acted himself... looking back that's almost unheard of... 50 cent followed in his footsteps acting himself in his movie... but really never thought how actually crazy that was...
You know it's a movie right?.. it's not really "Em," and his competitors are actors. They all read those lines from a script.. On real battle rap standards, this movie is absolute garbage.
Fun fact : Em wrote every one of those verses even the one Xzibit was rapping. And in-between shoots, they had legit rap battles, Em vs. anyone on set, and as you can see, there were plenty of people and Em won every single one... Closest wordsmith to him would be Locksmith, MF Doom or possibly Royce da 5'9, tho Wayne has been impressive in the past decade also.
Yes, 8 mile, is part of Eminem's life story, how he became a known rapper. Stomped Free World 1 at a time. ( Oh and the trailer park is literally just across 8 mile rd.)
I've noticed a few people commenting on Ems line saying he's a German. He's not from Germany. In that first round the guy called him a Nazi. Em said, So I'm a German hay? Nazi's were from Germany so there you go.
Van I was born in 78 too. I'm a white dude from Detroit and watched this movie in South Korea when I was stationed there when this movie came out. Thoroughly enjoyed your reaction and love the channel.
Rabbit actually removed all his opponent's weapons, by talking about himself, the other dude won't be able to talk anything about the rabbit that the rabbit has not already talked about himself, that is so smart.
5:16 is the part in every 80's action film when you know the bruised and battered hero is about to become a legend!!!! True art never dies!!! If em ever gets balls enough to do a collab with RA the rugged man? I die happy
Bro, I won't lie but I love watching videos with you man. You're awesome. You clarify what we don't know or what's the fact behind that line or lyrics. ❤️❤️🔥😆
I've been a subscriber for a while. This is the first time I saw this reaction. I think I saw this movie in the theater about five times without my son, who is 28 and a huge Eminem fan. He was in the hospital and I brought a portable DVD player and we saw it together. I am 53-year-old white woman who grew up in the military. I remember hearing a really cool song when I was roller skating in '70s. And later found out it was The sugarhill gang. One of my favorite movies of the '80s is breakin' 2 electric boogaloo. I like the second one better for some reason. I was in Middle School in West Germany when I first saw two of my classmates break dancing. It was so awesome. I'll have to be honest and I may not like all the lyrics of every Eminem song, but I definitely admire how he has brought to cultures together. I was kind of what Elvis did in the 50s 60s and 70s. Then Michael on the 70s 80s and 90s and I would definitely say Eminem brought hip Hop to the mainstream like no other artist ever has. And I respect him so much that whenever I've heard him give a speech and an award show or when he was inducted to the Rock and roll Hall of Fame, he always credits others. He is one of the most humble and talented entertainers anywhere... I especially admire how he raised his daughter and nieces. He kept them out of the spotlight but now Haley has her own podcast and it's shining on her own. She lived thankfully grew up without social media for a lot of paparazzi. When he realized how important his family was he backed off from the spotlight enough slow his kids could grow up normal but have a better life than he did. Around that same time in the early 2000s when 8 Mile came out, I was a single mom of my son. I was constantly I'm afraid I was going to get it wrong. I worked as a full-time nurse, but I took the special Friday Saturday Sunday 3 12 hours shifts because his dad had him every other weekend and then he spent the next weekend with my parents. That made me available during the school week and every school night. I do miss some of your music reactions, but I have learned a lot from your more political content. And I appreciate you helping to spread truth. I love when you did a show with Kingdom reacts. I've been with his for about as long as I have you. I hope you see my comment and know how much I appreciate your music reactions especially during the pandemic. I have had Parkinson's for 11 years now, since I was 42. I'm still independent even though my body does weird movements that I don't like all the time. Your videos help get me through the bad days. And LFRJojo is keeping me up to date with the music reactions
You guys just listened to my childhood. I was born in 1968 on the Virginia/North Carolina state line. My earliest memories were of country, bluegrass, southern rock and classic rock. Charlie swirls them together on this song. It's so amazing to see people who say "I don't listen to this type of music" start grooving to music I've been grooving to for 40 years. Keep doing what you do. You're the kind of people who might reunite our country.
This was a good movie I remember every instant of it when I went to watch it , sorry Louise it didn’t work out but I lost my drivers license that day 2002 lol good times
Should do a review of all the songs that the Stans made dissing Nick Canon. A few years back Nick Cannon started having real beef with Eminem came out with a bunch of diss tracks and all the stands put the beats together and made songs dissing Nick Cannon some of them you can't even tell that they're fan made. You know you messed up will you drop a diss track and get murdered by the fans

The trailer park is north of 8 Mile. South side of 8 Mile and down is Detroit. 8 Mile is the Border of Detroit and some of its suburbs

Love your reactions brother! Hope you blow up on here!
God Rap-Eminem
From DC huh? Sursum Corda family ties
CLARENCE GAVE UP AND DECIDED BEATING THANOS IS EASIER THAN BEATING EMINEM
This comment deserves more likes! So true lol
Oh snap. No wait....
yo this is the greatest comment I've ever read

Haha true
Love how when he starts against papa doc the first thing he does is separate him from the crowd he was done from there.
I always thought "Notice that this man did not have his hands up" was the most clever way to call someone fake in history lol
I’ve done she work in night clubs and it works like a fucking charm
It's the easiest way to make people turn against each other. Point out that they're different and let the people pick sides.
This scene took 8 hours to do. It was over 100 degrees in there and these people in the crowd are actually people from in the area..
That looks like the most fun day as a movie extra ever
It was a horror show!
Clubs like that in the 90’s were sweatshops. Not a chair anywhere and boiling hot.
The Shelter is indeed a sweaty mess. As is St Andrews upstairs lol
yeah they did it in the Shelter in Detroit.
The moment he says "And I know something about you" everyone immediately knows that he's gone from ripping up the play book to going straight for the throat.
Don’t you DARE make fun of cheddar Bob. Bob had his back the entire time.
Cheddar Bob was a ride or die homie
Ko
Em wrote all these schemes. Insane!!! And omgg just realized Proof is in the crowd!!! 😪
Xzibit was the Only one Em Didn't
@@bigstevie1690 And Proof's battle.
Proof was battling in the beginning of the movie too 🙏🏼🙏🏼
And that girl from making da band, behind eminem
My cousin was in the crowd too, got to pat Em on the back on his way off the stage in one of the battles
And at that moment Clarence decided to stop rapping to become Falcon and went to battle Thanos instead
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He learned never to be on the right side against a white boy ever again, next time he will be on the left
And lost
Rapper career got ruined by Em so join Avengers was the best decision
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
You’re actually a really enjoyable reactor, dude. Good job man, keep doing you. 🤘
He didn't just destroy his cred, he STOLE it. He made Doc the outsider not him, and showed his respect for hip hop using reference to classic songs.

you look and sound like the kind of person you can have a deep thoughtful conversation , really like your deep way of thinking :)
For Eminem's battle with Papa Doc, he asked the real actor (Anthony Mackie) for some backstory on him and used it in this final battle so his reaction was true
This scene was all the better because Em's opponents had bars too. Nobody want's an underhand tossed win. I loved all of this.

Thank you.
If Em wrote all the verses it wouldn't of worked. Em wouldn't of had the same energy if he was literally battling himself lol
yo if criag g was making those battles hes basically eminem and no one has that ability
Eminem deserved the oscar he got for the soundtrack, but he should have got one for the acting. If it was anybody else who acted it, I feel like they would have won best actor for that portrayal
He killed him when he said notice this man did not have his hands up shit was over after that
you know the OGs out there when they react to the last Rap Battle and yell out "Halfway Crooks" only the true heads know!!!!
RIP Prodigy

8 mile is the name of a road that runs all the way through Detroit

Lowkey "Intergalactic" is hard as fuck lol Beastie Boys out rapping half the rappers out today💯

THAT'S THE MIC DROP RIGHT THERE HAAAHAAAAA
I was obsessed with Eminem in middle and high school & have always loved this scene.

Best part of the whole ‘rap battle’ is the fact that Eminem wrote the raps for himself and everyone else 😳 so he was effectively battling himself
Shortly after this scene, clarence was offered a contract by Tony stark to join the avengers
Falcon
This is a perfect example for why you should always go second.
Ähh yeah but em goes first At the end and how content the truth?both is good when you have a plan...k am better at content in battle
.. and never go second? lol
It doesn't matter which you go.....
HOW did I miss this reaction! Oh my god, this is delightful.
I could watch this ending everyday. Its awesome!!
Hey buddy, always here 4 your EMINEM REACTIONS, I think I'm gonna watch 8mile now lol I love how much you enjoyed watching it
bro this is the first time i seen any of your videos and i got to tell you dude you had me laugh from the beginning.
Battlerap , the only place , wherre its a diss if u have married parents and a nice home xD
Only when dude claiming to be a gangster.
Truly underrated. This really needs to go in movie history.
EPiC. This is old school at it's best. You don't hear rappers spit like this anymore.
Man, 2021, I'm binge watching your reactions...Good Stuff!!
What Em did in the last battle was the definition of flipping the script on someone
That was 🔥🔥, it never gets old, lol. Great reaction! Keep up the good work and as always stay safe and healthy 😷.
Imagine losing a rap battle because you don't know wtf Eminem has been through
Eminem wrote all the lines for the movie
I like how he references Tupac for Anthony Mackie. He played 2pac in the Biggie movie years later. A lot of people missed that part.
What a coincidence!
I saw this video in my recommendation with 313 views😂
You're in the 202? Nice. I drive for Lyft in the DC area.
You go back at 9:12 when he called Em leave it to beaver Em smirked. He knew he had him then.
