I love Kurts solo in this song. I can't help but think he was taking the piss out of all those over the top guitar wankery solo's that have been so prevalent in music up to this point. I love players like Randy Rhoads, Angus Young etc..where their leads definitely adds to the song but more often than not so many solo's done in rock was just senseless noodling of scales that weren't memorable. I love 80's thrash metal but I totally see where something had to give when it came to the popular trends at the time. That poofy hair Glam scene had to die at some point and bands like Nirvana flipped it on its head.
If it was a good night for all members, they were such a tight and well practiced band. It's not super common to hear a live show that's so close to the studio version of a song, but Nirvana almost always pulled it off.
kurt never sang in bloom live like he did the studio version, prolly cause its hard to sing and play guitar at the same time but idk i feel like he sings this song like he doesnt know how to sing it. the solo here is so good especially when he lets the guitar just whine

maybe a dumb question, but during the intro part of the verse, is the second chord G chord? cause almost everyone else covering this song plays it as a powerchord on the 3rd fret of the low E string (sorry, absolute guitar beginner here)
2:44 just casually touches Kurt, “sorry, excuse me”
You don't usually see Kurt with just a t-shirt
Nice to see you here Sterling, lol
He was very self concious about how skinny he was so he usually wore long sleeves. Of course he probably wanted to hide track marks too but ....
