- Hey everyone! We just got our hands on a 1978 Dodge Aspen that's been sitting forgotten for the last eight years. And guess what? We're trying to bring it back to life!
In this video, we're taking you through our journey of finding, buying, and starting to fix up this old-school ride. It's a bit of a fixer-upper, but we're up for the challenge!

Never get tired of seeing somebody revive a slant six car ! Ford this and ford that or Chevy this and Chevy that it don’t matter. None of the other brands can hold a candle to a fxxxxxxx slant six if you just want to go down the road. I’ve watched you tube videos of these engines setting in a salvage yard for twenty years with no head on it just slap another one on and pour some fuel in the carb and it will crank up. You can’t run at a 100 mph down the road but you can go get mama some smokes or a cold beer…… if it’s not rusted to bits I’d say it should bring 1500 to 2000 bucks the way it sets. At one time these were not worth taking home but everything is built back better now so it cost more. Some people say it’s worth 800 bucks I think that’s a little lean for a running driving car. I’ve got 1973 duster with the slant six and ac that I wouldn’t part with for less than six grand. I got it insured for seven grand. And even that’s not really enough to replace a running driving good looking car. Course I inherited the thing from dad so selling it won’t ever be a concern it will probably go to a nephew whenever I expire…… good video !11
I agree completely. I've road a many miles with the little slant six just humming along. Would love to see your little ride.

If the floors and trunk are solid i would think around 4500 more if you left the wiper arm parts in the glove box older cars in decent shape are getting hard to find it's not a rust bucket

Which is $400 more than I would offer.

Well, I hope no one in your area is the only one interested.
On the low-end my friend... cause "it ain't got no gas in it"... but seriously. 6-cylinder, automatic, and not a Super Coupe, R/T or special edition Richard Petty. But these are nice easy to work on economical cars, and parts are very common, so don't give it away.
So, any idea on what you think it's worth?
@@phillipsrundripbubblecompa9232 The economy is for crap currently, many factors out there… especially where you live. It could bring a higher price outside your area, but the cost of coming to get it or shipping adds to the bottom line. If it were me… I’d detail it to the highest level, a clean car always brings a higher price. Then I’d do what cosmetic repairs I could and paint, or touch it up, then I’d do a COMPLETE service, park it at a well known location and it might fetch 3k-5k. It all in the appearance.

I see that Logan has to do the hard part, great job young man, I have a 77 and 78 Aspen R/T I hope to fix the 77, I have no idea but if I was a guessing man I’d say 2,500 to 2,800

Take oil pan off oil pickup stop up my slant did the same thing.
The engine flush worked great, thank goodness.
Over filled on oil by about 5 quarts but wants to hear it run 😂😂😂

When will people figure out that starting fluid is almost all evaporated by the time you spray and start the car. YOU SPRAY IT WHILE STARTING THE VEHICLE!!!!
