When using a rope/string to pull hose or wiring, tape it on with electrical tape. It's more malleable and that helps with those spots. In the utility world, we use a lot of what's called muletape. It's thinner and more flexible than a rope, but still has a breaking point of around 1,500 lbs, which is way stronger than needed to fish most hoses/wires.
I just want to say thank you! To be able to watch you and your family do all those things that make us Americans, is a blessing! God bless you and the family! Can’t wait for the harvest!
Also Zach, if you ever worry about 'not having exciting content', don't. My favorite videos are the pre-plant and pre-harvest videos because we get to see how you take care of equipment and any updates you are trying to make to your operation. I'd watch the hell out of a video of you organizing the cold storage building...just saying. I'm sure I'm not alone.
It is 7.15PM in the Netherlands, from where im watching rn. Keep up the videos! I like em! Also we bought a brand spanking new brush for our small wheelloader and there was an oil leak in it. Brand new and an oil leak....
All the little things add up to make a full day. Better to fix the leaks now before the next time you need to use the cart. Never a dull moment on the farm. Take care and be safe. 'Spin'
Hey Zach just wanted to say thank you for posting all these videos, my grandpa loved watching them. He recently lost his fight with brain cancer, even though he lost his recollection he would always light up when we put your videos on for him to watch. I've been rewatching and it's definitely helped ease the pain a little bit. Keep on making these fantastic videos!!!
In the house this afternoon on our ranch in Texas where the temp was 103 with a heat index of 110, I watched this episode of MF and wondered to myself why I really enjoy this channel and I think I figured it out. Other than the fact that your entire family is a truly likable bunch and other than the fact that I really like how you care for your equipment and keep it clean I really believe the main reason I enjoy watching is the fact that when you have a breakdown or chore to do like changing a bad hydraulic hose, it takes you only a nano sec to get it done. I’m so envious!
In MN delivered to Polaris in Roseau last night all I saw was bugs clouding my windshield. This morning came to Bemidji down 89. Beautiful Hope all your gorgeous farm land stays farm land.
Have you tried replacing the bottom rubber gaskets on your machine shed doors? Your down pressure should also be adjustable. I found the gaskets at Menards. If they don't carry the length you need try a garage door installer/repair place near your location. My shop is 15 years old and I've replace the gaskets once already.
Hi Zach from Melbourne Australia. Found your UA-cam filling in time during covid lock down a few months ago . During my working career (now retired) I sold agricultural machinery to dairy farmers in the Taranaki Region of New Zealand and one of of my products was the red tractor and my biggest competition was, you guessed it,the green ones! Being from a farming family I enjoy your show. Keep up the good work. Love the interaction with your family and friends.
@@MillennialFarmer buddy we would watch your videos if you recorded yourself walking up and down your driveway while talking about corn prices for an hour straight
For garage leak you can make a concrete ditch with bars on top of a ditch parallel with garage. Then put some simple pipe underground connected on the lowest point of the ditch to drain water to the area that you find suitable.
Hi zack love ur videos I am a dairy farmer from Northern Ireland our grass has started to grow again as the grass was not growing fast for cutting silage to feed out cows
@millenialfarmer - just wanted to let you know I'm enjoying watching these videos so much I've gone back to the very beginning in 2016 and am watching them all through in order! 😁 A UK fan 👍
From a guy that builds farmer's new sheds, to stop water going in under the doors, when you do the concrete, concrete in a steel angle from one side to the other, so there's a lip just inside where the door rests, water can't go up the lip
Just a nice laid back day on the farm that's what I am talking about I couldn't have walked by the pool without testing the water someone always needs to check the water good video have a good one
Hi there the corn around here in some places are stress out.the rain hit and Miss. the corn is standing about 3 feet tall. you lucky got hit our head. or flip over and get hurt bad.🚜🚜🍵😎
We have our own dayco hose maker. It’s definitely worth the extra money and there is no running back to town because it’s made wrong. (Referring to the hose that you had to get made twice when you were using the snow blower. Sorry to bring up a bad memory lol) just buy yourself a couple rolls of the most common hose you use. Trust me you won’t be sorry you got one👌🏻

Hey Z, there is this amazing product out on the market that would make that hitch on the header wagon work a whole lot better. I can't think of the name right now but we use it all the time around the farm. Maybe you can google it it comes in a spray can or squirt bottle. 2-4-wd or something like that. Take care! Lol
PS- I don't know why you're servicing that header- you won't have any need for it when John Deere brings out the new 9X with a 60-foot header for you to demo... 😎
So I have a random question. Have you ever seen anything weird out there working the fields? Silly question but I was watching a old tillage video and the question popped up in my head so I figured I would throw it out there.
Hey Zach: Who was your stand in for the dirty hands? Jim?? Becky did a great editing job of making it look like yours. Hmmmmm..... Probably not Randy. Must be someone on the race team. Captain Al from Tampa 😎
This made me think of the time I was helping my neighbor throw some small squares of grass hay out of his barn. All of a sudden from from the back of the barn he yells "oh crap" like something is seriously wrong. When I asked him what happened he said he found some new kittens. That was a let down.
