The actor that plays Dad plays along with the actor that plays the Millennial Farmer, playing with the actor that plays the dog or the dogcat or catdog, or something..
That young man of yours has certainly come a long way. He jumps at any chance to give a hand. It's great seeing the 3 generations work and respect each other so well.
Zach , it’s nice to see your family oriented your dad, girls, son ,and your wife, but I never saw your mom , if she passed away my condolences, I know she would of been proud to see her family working as a team she would of been the Boss ❤
Zack, it's really good to see your dad in your videos more than usual. Much like Welkers, Fast Ag, Browns, etc., the presence and involvement of the older generation (also mine) adds the element of wisdom and experience. Something a country with such a small percentage of its population even involved with agriculture needs desperately. Just think what Onyx is soaking up each day he works with you, your dad and Jim.
Your channels are better than any reality TV series that Discovery and the others have ever produced. You have an awesome family and it's great watching how you all work together. Thank you for sharing your lives with us.
So glad to see your son has the desire to farm and likes to be with his dad and grandpa. Do to a drought and a farm accident I didn’t have the chance to have my boys carry on with our farm. I have been watching you for a few years and I don’t think you will have the same luck I had. When you get the red equipment I know for sure that will hold true. Keep giving us the great content, and more of the racing.
Nice to witness you all working as a team of 3 generations of farmer skilled for solutions all the time! God bless you all with a profitable harvest and between the rows!
So awesome to see Onyx back at it with you. He's really a great kid! Not only can he run grain cart, he actually realizes problems and can let you know! Next year maybe some seat time with you in the combine. And maybe a future family farm partner AFTER college.
Do really like that you training that young man to do all things farming and he will be the next generation to continue farming.Definitely a great father!!! Good job 💪🇺🇲👌🏻
The build up suspense on whether the grain cart tracking was going to connect was palpable and the plot twist of the drain tile cage being what went thru the header was a big shocker. I was sure it was a big rock. I love the characters Dad and Jim, I sure hope Jim doesn't get fired again this season. Thanks for your content.
Great to see Oynx out helping you during harvest. That was neat that Oynx recognized the problem with the tractor and grain cart very attentive son good job Oynx
Absolutely amazing how the tractors basically talk to each other to stay aligned etc. Technology at its finest, well except for an automated window cleaner other than a windshield wiper. lol
Glad to see Jim back, so far so good. Looks like the beans aren't too bad. Really fun seeing the young man of yours running the grain cart again. Let's get him in the combine doing corn this year, once he gets Zack trained on the grain cart it should go good.
Irony is when you're forced to use death to decrease emissions and the electronic companies can't even get talk to text and autocorrect to put down the dialogue that you are speaking as if it was written until you hit the little blue arrow. Then you have to go edit it all! Had a bit frustrating. Tad bit frustrating!
I text you guys just a few minutes ago. We live in Escanaba . We are getting a Big Winter storm starting on Wed night. We are getting 5-12 inches of Very wet SNOW . Upper Michigan. You seem to be a Great Dad to your Kids . You have a lot of patches . To touch your Kids . In this world we NEED Dad's like you
It was good to see Onyx driving the pickup with "thunder" hooked on , through the field. Great time for him to learn how it feels to get behind that steering wheel.
Farm kid's learn how to drive at a young age, that knowledge and respect for machines translates directly to the street when they start to drive on the roads..
I smiled when Zach mentioned a thresher. I'm 73 and one of my oldest memories is a threshing machine driven by a big belt from a traction engine. They were situated in our farm yard, which seems like an inefficient workflow looking back on it. I would have been about five years old, so 68 years ago.
I used to go to Denton, NC where they have a Threshers reunion every year around the 4th of July. I remember seeing the old threshing machine in operation. They also have a large group of old tractors from steam tractors up to gas and diesel
Me too ,in the UK, a steam engine was the power unit, 53 the year I can really remember watching for several afternoons. I'm sorry Zack but what a waste of time and money that tracking rubbish was, what the heck is difficult about driving a combine to evenly fill a trailer? You need something interesting to do after 12hrs or more keeping the combine going through the rows !!
Looks like you got enough work to keep you out of trouble. Now I gotta get a nap in because I watched the whole thing . I feel like I have been working all day into the evening
Zach, Great Video, I hope you continue to have a safe and bountiful harvest. Just a thought for a good video. I think it would be interesting to hear an interview with You, Your Dad and Jim on how Jim and your Dad got together over the years to have Jim as a hired hand.
That is so cool! To be able to have your son do those things with you. I know my boy would love it! I’m completely happy for you! Thank you for the videos
I've been away from the farm for over 60 years and I still get nostalgic at harvest time. That was my favorite time of the year as I got to drive the grain truck in the field when I was about 12 years old.

Love the super unenthusiastic "thunder" at 3:20 😂😂 honestly I was sad when you didn't say it the first time. A funny sick sounding thunder is still better than no thunder, so thank you Zack or Zach or whatever way it's spelled..... I mean... Millennial Farmer!
@@chief3378 duh! Zach/Zack Johnson (idk which way he spells it) is the actor who plays Millennial Farmer.... That's why I said both. You clearly didn't get the joke
Watching you sync machinery was fascinating, but also somewhat sad. 55 years ago I had Onyx job driving the grain cart. I am now 😊officially obsolete (and retired). Stay healthy and safe! God Bless!
Hi Zach, very interesting to see the grain cart being controlled from the combine, I'm sure the more you use the system the confidence & trust will come, it sure makes it easier from the grain cart operators perspective as the combine driver has the better view of how the cart is filling, won't be too much longer before a grain cart operator becomes surplus to requirement. 🙂🇬🇧
Loving the channel and your content I'm a retired Yorkshire UK farmer and i clearly remember my own son at your boys age great to see Thanks Tommy from York UK
Which of us farm kids does not remember the first time that his/her dad/mom let him/her drive a tractor ALL BY HIMSELF/HERSELF? For me, I was 5 years old on a Ford 900. Dad instructed me before he turned me loose: "When you get by the barn, just shut the key off." It was a trip of about maybe 60 yards long, with one gentle curve. The Ford 900 was pulling a wooden haystack, after Dad had pitched off a jag of hay for our herd of 40 Hereford Momma cows. I think that Dad walked just off to the side and slightly behind the tractor the whole way. I was ON TOP OF THE WORLD!
California car duster is the hot tip on the windows, keep it in the cab, takes 2 seconds to wipe them off and they will be almost as good as actually washing

Yet, I am always amazed by the advancements in technology. The Machine Sync is something I didn't know about. Hope your throat gets better and continued success with your harvest and fall work.
Onyx uses his mirrors better than half the men watching this. He gives me faith in future generations. I love watching the kids grow and get more rowdy on their toys!
Zach, the Deere cart system sounds like the system used by Ag Leader called Cart Ace. It should save the unload auger and keep from puking a few hundred bushels of grain on the ground. You're fortunate Onyx picks up farming quick. In a couple of years, you're going to be running the grain cart, while he runs the combine.
I noticed when your head stopped you were going perpendicular to the rows. Had the same thing happen with a macdon. Having beans all the way across the sickle like that will stop it dead in it’s tracks having no open space for the cutterbar. Hope this helps! Happy harvest!
