Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

When is the next Off The Husk Episode coming out. I love the podcast and the videos!!!
I agree with ya there . I loved the Brian brown one and randy's older brother
Problem not for a bit because onyx has covid. I don’t think they’d have people over to do a podcast
What is off the husk I'm sorry
@@smallengines1018 it's like a radio program that zach and Becky an d randy do. You can find it on www.mnmillinialfarmer.com good content
We’re gonna record something via zoom this Friday. Should go live early next week.
Those cleaning guys were good. They even washed the Welker Farms sticker off that quad-trac.
It's a magnet that Nick Welker applied temporarily to promote their farm channel. Rightfully so as Nick made the demo happen. Which is a cool collaboration with a very nice tractor. 👍
@@CGW116A think he was having a joke
Sacrilege!
Had to wash all the crap off
@@user-ep7vm1yq1q 😆 Don’t bother. It’s hopeless.
I would blame the battery problem on the Welker magnets.
He’s needs Millennial Farmer magnets. Maybe they’ll charge the battery’s
@@_lucas_1k_ with all the technology now days, the tractor should be able to send a text or email when the battery volts get too low.
Good to see your Dad getting around better...
Glad to see Onyx is feeling better. Greetz from Belgium
It stops hissing when it’s empty.
That’s what I said 😏
Shyt
Well, Zach did say he fixed it.
Paging Hank Hill......
I figured it was venting since he said it was a warm day.
The Mrs. looks out the window briefly
"You get a corn cobb"
This is perfect. Every time before i go to bed, i can watch one of your videos before i sleep. This is absolutely perfect
I want to see how happy nick is when he gets a dead tractor back
Im watching your video and get to the part where zach says “ive already spent 2 hours on my hands and knees” and from across the room i hear my fiancé yell “THATS WHAT SHE SAID!” I cant believe MN let that opportunity go in the video ;)
"I think if you go down, and ahead just a little, I think it will fit in there" Dat's what she said!
Onyx could have used those cobs of corn for his blind.
I enjoy all your videos. Especially when you time lapse. It makes for no monotony. Thanks for sharing your thoughts🤔, experience, farm🚜 and family🐕🦺🐈🐕, God bless...☝️🙏🙌💪🎯
Nice to see Onyx up and at it, and Nate is looking better all the time. Save that knee! You're going to need it! You have the worst luck with batteries. It's like you naturally repel electrons . . .
Thank you Zach and Becky for posting these entertaining videos. I’ve been a 1.5 year subscriber, and these videos allow me to decompress somewhat after a long day of working for Deere & Co (been with them for almost 20 years). Almost 3 weeks ago I lost my dad to COVID, and my mom has been in an ICU/nursing care facility in hopes of recovering from the effects of COVID. These videos have been a small ray of light for me as my wife, daughter and I navigate life. Thank you and stay safe, Kevin.
6:33 was awesome Becky
Thanx for posting
Cleanup day is always the best. Reminds me of the wash rack in the military. Nothing better than washing under a track vehicle in 50 degree weather.
I've always loved the hum that the steiger's make when you cold start them
One of those days Zach. Hope Onyx is feeling a lot better. Blessed Day.
Taking care of your equipment, Zach. Well done.
Good to see ya again 6! Hope your feelin well good young farmer! Good luck in the blind!
Glad to see that 6 is A-OK
Whoever parked it there, took the key one notch to far too the left when they took the key out. Flattens one of the batteries and then they don’t start. I speak from experience, sadly.
Glad to see Onyx is up and around!!! Hope Isla is healing well too!!!
Hope Onyx is feeling better and that the rest of the family gets through your self quarantine with out coming down ill. Also hope Welker Farms doesn’t see that magnet come off! Love your channel keep up the amazing work.
Another great video, you have never made a bad one!!!!! And I know how itchy that dust can get, we just blew and washed our 2 combines off yesterday. You aren't the only one that always has dead batterys, we always have them too.
Looks like your finger snap is effected by the magnetic field on your place there as well, not just the batteries. 🤣
Good to see Onyx at the end there!! 👍🏻👍🏻
A family that farms together stays together! Zach your living the American dream! Good stuff!
Great videos! Thanks
Obviously tillage man Sam sabotaged the case.

"300 lbs of mud in each track" - Laughs in M60 Tanker.
The videos are awesome keep them up. Gives people a real perspective on what it takes to run a farm. Awesome job to you your crew and family.
Thanks for what you do! I know it takes up a large amount of your time to video but I enjoy watching the everyday life of a real farmer. Keep doing what you do because you are educating the masses.
"If you go down and over I think you'll fit"....
That's what she said...
Are we going to talk about that the washers
Washed off the Welker Farms emblem
Legit came to the comments to say the same thing XD
Yea, me too.
Betcha going to be a MNfarmer sticker on there
Now put there Millennial Farmer sticker on, and send it to Welker Farms.

Nearly impossible to keep everything cleaned up but your getting it done! Thanks for the content!!! Good luck deer hunting young man!!!
Wow all of that clean up is a big job for sure, thanks for the update Zach 👍
You get a corn cob! YOU GET A CORN COB!!! lol that got me laughing good🤣🤣
Check the battery's in your "Snapper", They take 2 AA.
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
I have had, take me home tonight stuck in my head ever since I heard you sing it, oh well great song haha wishing the whole family good health and happy farming from Ontario Canada, love your videos
Just a quik thanks to you all the others out there thats doing what y'all do to keep us fed!! Thanks so much and may God Bless Yall!!!
9:18 Your snap has a dead battery !
Zack has no idea I have been sneaking on the farm and draining the batteries on the equipment. I also have been letting the air out of the tracks on the quad track. Shhhhh 🤐
Looks like you also let some air out of John Deere in frame 11:20. 😆
Awesome video, love getting a look at every day life on real deal farm. The technology involved today with the equipment is also impressive and I am sure quite expensive. Much respect to our farmers.
Just wanted to say I've been enjoying your videos for the last week as I'm laid up from a work accident. I'm no farmer, but the work you do resonates with me, and I enjoy your format. Keep it up! God bless!
Southerners when it’s 60 degrees: it’s cold
Northerners when it’s 60 degrees: it hot
The temps in the northeast are ridiculously warm, a week ago it was snowing now it’s 70 degs, thankfully it going to cool down the end of the week.
Hawaiians...whats 60 degrees?
As a native Tennessean, that’s true! 😂😂
"On your hands and knees for two hours" perfect "she said" moment missed.
So glad to see that Onyx is doing good. Good luck on the deer hunt!
Thank you for another great video I enjoyed watching it different to see another farmer in America and a different part showing the world how he farms and thank you very much for that I enjoyed it I'm a big fan down here in New Zealand big Matt
This looks like it's heading to be another Lone Star Light day for you!
Hey Zach imagine doing 40 snouts on a header
Beautiful singing Zach
SIX !!! Glad to see you feeling better !
Front tire low on JD as you were walking by it in the shed to pull grain cart out

Zach:you guys might be awful itchy after this video.

I've enjoyed another season. I really like the way you take care of the equipment. Also, like to know the denensions of the shop and other buildings. Awesome stuff.
Does the dryer ever get too hot and when you open the bin door it's full of popcorn???? 🤔 🍿🍿🍿 😉😁
I followed you since the beginning of the pandemic, through an entire grow of corn. What I appreciate is even though the main money making part is over for the time being, you're still finding some choring to do.
good job brother, thank you for sharing the information ..
That's the worst thing my kids can say around me..."I'm bored".

How is Onyx?? Glad to see him feeling better and up and around 🙏💕😍
Thanks once again for your videos, you are tied for #1. I know I am late with this request 😡but man I would love another video with you Zach and your brother singing in the cab. I appreciate the respect you and your dad have for each other. We are a 3rd generation farm family and understand the complexities envolved. Job well done 👍
11:19 that front tire looks a little flat
They really dont use that tractor a whole ton so i can see why he is not so bothered
It’s only flat on the bottom, not a big deal.
@@droid683 where else shoud it be flat?!🤣
@@droid683 Just flip it over, good as new
A friend of mine who works in construction once asked a guy too "air up the tracks" 2hr.s later he came back and said he couldn't find the valve stem
By the way, Zach, we’re all waiting to hear how Onyx is doing with “the plague”.
Thanks for the video. Lots of clean up after harvest and before winter. Having a crew come in to help is a really good idea. Helps your workload. Lots of cleaning to do, I do not think a lot of non farm people understand how much needs done. Taking care of equipment is so important. Your equipment always looks great!!!!! Lots of variety in this video-thanks. The big red beast will look good after a clean up and ready to go back home. Thanks again. Good to see onyx feeling better. Take care Zach. Iowa farm boy from years ago.
Loved the video! Glad to see that Onyx is doing better! God bless and don’t let the early sun set get you down! You’ll adjust....stay strong!
There was too much John Deere in that cab!! Lol!!
I have always wanted to run a case tractor, or like a NH or Massey. have only ever run John Deeres.
Masseys are fine machines. Case too for that matter. But all the NH machines I've looked at seem super lightweight and underbuilt for what they do.
I'll be honest, I wish Ford still made tractors.
@@lorzon case and nh is both built by CNH but your right there is a big difference in both
Quadtracs are a joy to operate. They are comfortable all day long with those red leather vented seats!
Stay with deere
@@mattludwig5951 Matt, don’t knock it until you have tried it.

Zack hope your boy is doing better.

Hey Zach, you need to call the men in black ASAP!! Those aliens with their magnetic field on your farm really took the cherry on the cake with stealing a RED machine's power LOL
CASE has it coming
in a veteran....and i wanna thank YOU for your service to this country....
Nice video, thank you.
Gave a like just for some Eddie Money sangin
Wash day, the day you wish your Quadtrac had four wheels instead of tracks...
Good to see Onyx is on his feet and feeling good enough to turn Bambi or Bruno into table meat.
Cute black kitty. I'm sure that you have lots of snacks for her or him. It's good having cats around for natural pest control.
As far as not getting done today; Back in the day the brick I didn't get laid today would be there waiting for me tomorrow. Sorta sounds familiar I bet. Enjoy the warm weather while you can...I can see the cooler stuff headed your (and our) way. Enjoy your videos. Oh, you can tell what kind of farmers we were. We used a John Deere Model L. I wish we still had it, Greg
How’s Onyx doing? Has he recovered from covid?
16:24 Now I've got to sanitise my screen! Hope Onyx is feeling better!
I love it when you said we don't have to wash this sport, when you pointed at the Welker Farms sticker
Good to see Onyx out and about. 🤙🏻
36’ Belts on quadtracs solve that build up problem 😉
We must be doing something wrong we have 2 with 36" belts and they all plug like that and the 30" belts plug even worse
I can't believe a battery died on your farm 😂🤣
In general they seem to have a lot of flat batteries, dunno what the deal is. They have a lot more gear than we do, and its colder there I suppose.
@@jackgibbons6013 Yeah I know I was being sarcastic lol 😂
That farm is built on a battery burial ground.
@@tiredoldmechanic1791 Maybe 🤣
Can't believe it didn't happen sooner. Seems like they got through harvest without a battery issue.
Great Vlog, good to see the harvest is finished and the gear is clean, the Quad track looked to be a major de-mudding exercise, thanks
Hi zach i wish i was with u helping you guys
You know, you mentioned the "magnetic field" in your yard? We have a farm in the neighborhood that has similar problems with "unexplained" electrical failures. Really, I won't even take my tractors down there. I'm guessing that it has something to do with the power lines but have no idea.
Coffee. When did you start drinking coffee?
Since it started coming in cans called Monster Energy

Zach you have a very contagious attitude and show a lot of selflessness I’m sure your dad is very very proud. PS your humor isn’t bad either.
Glad too see the KING 👑 of the grain cart is feeling good and hunting.
'Take me home tonight, i dont wanna get de mon i tized for this'

Great job!
Hoping Onyx continues to feel better.
At this point I’m suggesting we get actual scientists in to investigate your farm. I’m just picturing them finding some weird magnetism or something that’s killing everything 😂😂
You could probably kill the battery on our Massey’s without even trying 😂
And they haven’t died once
Taking pride. Good job!
