Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

There was a lot of " She said " moments in this one..... You should put an extra key on that key ring when you return that tractor, when they ask about it tell them you needed to put a lock on the restroom door.
Haha. Better yet, hand em the tractor keys and another key hooked to a 8 inch 2x2 with 410 Restroom written on it.
Probably should chain it to a hubcap like the ole gas station trick
The Actress who plays Mrs. Millennial Farmer needs to be featured more in the videos.
Maybe a behind the scenes with her as well...
She's currently got her hands full trying to wrangle homeschooling kids.
I agree, she's a good look a like for Mrs Millennial Farmer.
James Bainton it’s funny. She sounds a lot like the lady on the off the husk podcast.
I think she's really miscast. Way too beautiful...
I wonder if those children have any idea how lucky they are to be growing up in that environment? Over time, they will come to appreciate it more.
I know a Master Pipe Layer who has an excavator who could get those rocks out. His name is Randy.
Home made blue gas will take care of those rocks....just be careful mixing it. No sparks or static allowed.
“ It wasn’t a really big one, but it was sticking up“… yeah, THATS WHAT SHE SAID!
🤣🤣
Your daughter is such a precious Daddy's girl and you sir are blessed.
“You heard her John Deere.” cracked me up.
We had a giant rock (about the size of VW Beatle) in one of our fields years ago, we used 6 sticks of dynamite blew it out of the ground. Ended up being in 6 smaller rocks.
Those smaller rocks must have been pretty big. I was thinking about Dynamite, too. Maybe a very tactically placed diesel and ammonium nitrate charges set off by a distant rifle shot.
I remember when I was a kid, my grandfather used to use dynamite to pop those VW size rocks out. It sure was something to see! Moving them off to the brush was another challenge! Ahhh the good old days! Maybe your father or grandfather used to do that as well?
Oh I'm sure they did! That wasn't uncommon practice back in the day
We had a case of atlas dynamite for a while but the stumps ate it.
“In the men’s room?” NO, I never checked the ladies 😂😂😂
My dad has a license for dynamite 🧨. 50 sticks under one boulder left a crater and me picking up sharp rock pieces for couple of days. Have to respect it! Neighbor lady fell out of her chair when it blew, that was nearly half a mile away! We still talk about all the fun we had that day.
Really enjoy the subtle humor!!!!!!!! IMO that is the glue that holds it all together, to make this project successful.
You’re kicking ass at making us farmers look cool bro. Thank you!
Wisconsin is way worse i hate to say.
You just gotta love them rocks
We never had any till a big 36 inches natural gas pipeline went through our farm back in the day and headed for Chicago millions of rocks it looked like a stone road we picked up them by hand and piled them around there pipe line post it filled the road ditch done that for years and years
Its cool to see the blue amphibious harvester is still on the same spot it was last fall lol
We have that exact same land roller lol! Works great!
Lol

Watching this while in the tractor. Every time your auto steer beeped I thought it was mine.
You're lucky Mrs. Millennial doesn't mind squitting the dirt, of course not a lot of options that far out. She sure is a cutie. I can see why you latched on to her.
You and your family have a way of making hard work look fun. You and your wife's comment are great. Today was hard. I looked at some of your older video it brightened up my days. The movie or TV show the farmers was great. Thank you.
I was told the glaciers brought the rocks. They went away to get more rocks.
Lol, that's true
🤣I farm in NC we have large pieces of 2x4s and wood Come out of the ground in the middle of nowhere in my hay field
@@jasonsfarm37 bad stroms often?
@@jasonsfarm37 Is that where Dorothy's house wound up?
Brad Roon no there used to be a large farm a long time ago we’re my neighborhood is
I love watching your videos. You are hilarious and educational at the same time! Thank you 🙏
Think it’s ironic, that twice now I’ve gotten “swim at home with new swimming pool” ads while watching your videos 🤣
I keep getting mattress ads. One time. One search and i see matress ads everywhere
I keep getting ads for race car parts
One of my favourite mini series! The acting is great. Even the kids and dogs act like kids and dogs! Amazing!
On big job sites when we get a big rock in the ground, we get a big jack hammer on the front of a skidsteer. It just blasts them away. I know John deer makes one. Maybe try reaching out to them for the rock issue.
Zach - just subbed, sorry I missed the May 5 cut off but good on ya for following thru with the donation. Been binge watching for the last 5 days and just wanted to let you know your videos are super interesting as well as informative. I truly enjoy the way your presenting your lifestyle. Hope good fortune follows you in the days and months ahead. And man, your youngest daughter is gonna be a heartbreaker! All the best from Toronto
I left the farm in 1959 as an 18 year old. I can not imagine farming today. These videos are the bomb.
It’s nice to watch this and listen to this while playing FS 15 and having close to the same equipment and just farming the stress away
beautiful picture with the sun behind the two of you!
“Stop looking at us Swans!!” I laughed way too hard at that!!!
“It wasn’t really big but it was sticking up” - Zack Johnson (the actor)
Just in the right way to do some damage....thats wat she said
Rock hard.....
Do you ever give out hats? I like how you and your family gets involved with your farming operations. You treat jim like family nice.
That’s what she said!
Just enough to do some really really expensive damage to a soybean header
Awesome video thanks for sharing 👍👍👍👍💯💯
"You heard her John Deere". hehe!! Thank you to all of you involved in making these wonderful videos.
Here in northern Ontario canada we some times call those rocks floaters that just come up over time.
"it wasn't a real big one, but it was sticking up."........ That's what she said!
Ditch & Anna are 2 of my favorite people.
New sub here and your narration is why I came. Im Canadian but I'm still all about it
Seeing Onyx checking that gopher mound, reminded me to ask for an update on the neighborhood control efforts? Can we get an update on the efforts so far? Thank you.
Asking for a friend (Carl Spackler)
So you’re telling me rocks don’t fall out of the sky? You sir are wrong.
Here it rains cats and dogs
Stones get you sky high.
User Name heard of meteors? lol
I'm pretty sure that the rocks that fall from the sky eventually melt
@@Paulman50 That just made my milk go through my nose.
Romantic sunset, hands-off GPS controlled steering, Mrs. Millennial Farmer close by your side... For gosh sakes Zak, crank some Grover Washington Jr. "Winelight" over the Deere's iPod system and chill for a while.
I remember the first of your videos that I ever watched and you went to pick up Eila at preschool in a tractor. How cool is that.
Have to say, during silage I have been listening to 1 1/2 of the husk podcast a day 😂. Love the vids and podcast, keep it up 👍
Jerry C we do rie grass in England
The one star rating on the ladies room seems a little harsh.
Like Zack says... I've only been in the mens room so who knows.
But Becky should be thankful she doesn't have to wait in a long line of women to get in lol.
Jeff Burnham that is funny
Only been in the mens room? Hes driving a green tractor ... of course hes never been in the mens room!
Amazing machinery! Love the GREEN STUFF! FARMERS are an essential part of feeding the world 👍Thanks
Love the big mean green Machine 💚
Maybe #masterpipelayer can help you with those Volkswagens buried in the field 🚜👍💪🤙
Some of them might be fords but not sure
Red sky's sunrise sailors beware, red sky's sunsets sailors delight. I know this Zach because I was a sailor in the US Navy for over 26 years.
I know or at least I think your doing all the camera work and it's fantastic all the different angles and such. Your interaction with your kids is precious. Hey I also started watching the farmers wife from Canada Riding in Cabs with Farmers or something like that she's just getting started with this and is fun to watch not many viewers yet. You ought to evite her down to meet your wife to get the ladies view here. I think that would be a fun video. And lastly I find myself watching you and several others rather than the regular TV.
As kids, there were way too many flat racks of stones picked & dumped by hand. Most fields just have smaller areas of stones. However, we have some large rocks that need to be picked/dug up via the tractor loader. AND there are several very large boulders which would cause an excavator to snort!
The bathroom jokes kill me. Please don't stop haha
6:12 Now you need a tire picker too.
Was born on a farm but folks moved to town before I was old enough to enjoy it. My folks talk about it often even though it was 50 some years ago. This channel provides an understanding of what Farming life is like today. Great to see the family evolvement. Appreciate the time and effort you put into this channel Zach. 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for the explanation on the rocks - I’ve been searching all 42,000 of your videos to see when you use the rock planter every year. Thought maybe it was too wet to plant them last year. Boy do I feel stupid.
Good afternoon Zack did you walk out in the cornfield and say are you all right?? Little kernels
come on now, time for the wife to drive that tractor, I was a dairy farmer, retired now and the wife always was the best operator, here in New Zealand, mate your channel is the best, well done.
what a great family farmer! doing what needs to get done with the family and the farm work very nice!
I like what I was told about rocks in the field when I was younger was that the rocks grew from fertilizer or manure you spread on the field.
Use tnt to get the rocks out. Then you can rake up the gravel and put in your driveway or fix the floor in the ladies restroom. LOL. HEY HAVE A GREAT DAY. 😀
That's a good idea🤔 Might ruin the field. But it's a good idea
Isn't that the universal solution? If you can't fix it with explosives chances are it's an electrical problem
Um for legal reason this is a joke right?
@@turnerjenkins4125 nope you can blow it up
You gotta drill it first, but you still dont get much gravel just easier to pick moderate sized rocks.
Love seeing Becky in the videos. She’s my favorite UA-cam wife!
Lol at the end with the key fob I seen that the new Holland's new Genesis cab has a key fob for the locks!
Love the bathroom break..
It is a must👍
Love the vids keep em up
In the UK, we say, red sky at night, shepherds delight, red sky in the morning, shepherds house on fire.
My first official job, was raking rocks. In Southwest Missouri, there are rocks everywhere. Just the other day, I was raking and seeding. So great. 45 years later and I'm still raking.
Nice family affair planting, rolling and ending the day. Thanks and keep up the great work of feeding the world and feeding the economy.
How's the weather been the last couple days ? very cold here in Pennsylvania maybe Thursday will be planting corn here on the farm that's late for us. Have a great day. Keep on farming
Cold!
@@MillennialFarmer this year is unbelievable for us here in Pennsylvania the ground actually froze on top the other morning. Have a great evening
“Thanks mrs . Mfer” 😂
Rock picker like yours is only easy to go Zack I have one to up in upstate New York where a lot of land is a rock garden I picked 100 loads in 3 days with mine
My grandfather used to say red sky at night a shepherds delight, red sky in the morning again shepherds mourning. Love your videos, interesting in how other farmers from around the world do things,
I would love to hear your dads and Jim’s opinions on the equipment, especially the new Deere
Onyx is such a dude, he's gonna make a great farm hand
What with one thing and another, I go a spell without a Millennial Farmer fix, but without fail when I watch a new video I love it. This was utter magic. Thank you very much. Amazed Netflix or the BBC have not signed you up yet to fill a few holes in their schedules.
Cheers Zach another great video.
Of course the credit also to your Editor, Producer, Director, key grip, Caterer, Teacher, Mother and Wife.
Sorry if I missed your other jobs Mrs Millennial Farmer.
Hello from the far Southwest of England 🏴
For some reason I always expect hear the music from 2001 A Space Odyssey when the planter opens up!!
At 6:54🤣 I could not stop laughing
same did not know john deeres had bathrooms
Recently started listening to the podcast and it is by far one of the best podcast I have been listening too. Good job👌
Nice to see your finishing up. This year has been a dry spring. Next on to harvest!!
“Little 40 acre corner” LMAO
Remember the old days when you were excited that you got a few thousand views on a video?? You just got that in less than 5 minutes.... Holy Dinah!
🤣 I remember very well!
I am glad you cleared up the rocks falling from the sky theory. Because I couldn't find an umbrella rated for rocks. I did find one that you could put adult beverages in the handle.
I just finished watching an old 8mm black n white film of my father plowing with a mule.
Can you imagine how times have changed since then?
Chet from Larson Farms says he needs row cleaners and he needs some advice, talk to the man.
I'll get in touch with him!
@assassinlexx I believe there is an over the road truck driver that wrote a cookbook about cooking on the engine of a big rig. I think I heard him on KNOX radio out of st. louis, 1120 on the AM dial. With a little research you may find something. I sort of remember him saying how he could bake a cake on the manifold during a ride from st Louis to Kansas City.
I think it was very cute that the "Millennial Farmer" got "Old School Romantic" with his beautiful Wife in the sunset. PS: Now you need to spruce up the Ladies Room for Her. Maybe Roses and Flowered Toilet Paper. All this coming from a Crabby Old Man in Cleveland,Ohio.
Thanks for explaining the roller, I may be regretting not having one this fall since we planted some beans for the first time ever on our farm.
Nice machine, awesome Lady, great video. Hope you have a great yield this year! Thanks for the entertainment.
At our ol hunting club, the bathrooms are marked "Pointers" and "Setters"
Of course we didn't forget about the "Flushers" We put their reminder above the Laboratory!
😂
Oh wow, you left the strings on your sweatshirt this time.
Here in the south we use land rollers at times to help seal in moisture ahead of the planters and drills
I used to like the sound of the big rocks when they landed in the rock picker! And better yet dumping them on smaller rocks!! TAKE THAT YOU ROCKS!!!
Your wife is so beautiful those eyes and smile are so wonderful :) :) Greetings from Sweden.
Mr Johnson, you need to have a stern talking to John Deere about the facilities for the women folk. The 8RX has everything but a pizza oven and a beer tap, now you get to add the ladies facilities to the list. The Mrs MF'r will appreciate it.
I’m glad you explain about how the rocks get in your field. I was wondering How they just appeared in the field.
Thanks for the update on those tractor lights! Better than I would have expected!
Red sky at night, Shepards delight, red sky in the morning, Shepards warning
“Quit looking at me swan”😂 best comment in a while. Conditioner is better, it leaves your hair silky and smooth!
Oh really foool?!
Man..I hope You know how lucky You are. With a wife like that You can conquer whatever comes your way. Good for you all. Greetings
My great aunt had a farm in northern Niagara County, NY. It grew rocks all the time.
Still have yet to see the seed cart engine run out of gas this season.....
Do farmers ever use autosteer to have some good ol "alone time" with the mrs. in the tractor??
Son: Did a stork drop me off? Am I an angel from the heavens?..
Dad: Nope, planting beans in 2020. Just got the fully automated system for the tractor. Your mother and I really enjoyed the spring planting. 😂
Just wanted to say, that I've been really enjoying your videos. You have the knack for presenting farming well, and you make it entertaining. Especially when Mrs MF is around. The two of you play well together. keep up the great work. Have learned a lot about farming and that's a good thing. Cheers (PS, the beep, beep at the end was a nice touch!!)
I think the young lady was prettier than the Sunset.....beautiful smile, God bless ya both.
