- In this video, I’m giving you an inside look at what it’s really like to play professional basketball overseas in Taiwan. From my daily routines and practice schedules to the challenges of adjusting to a new culture and being away from family, this is the honest truth about life as a pro athlete abroad. It’s been a crazy journey, and there are things that are so different from my time playing Division 3 ball back in college. But every challenge has helped me grow, and I’m here to share the good, the tough, and everything in between.
Whether you’re dreaming of going pro or just curious about life as an international athlete, I hope this video gives you a real sense of what it’s like. Drop a comment if you have questions, and don’t forget to subscribe if you want to see more behind-the-scenes of pro basketball life!

Proud of you Chung, keep going brother!
Just started my overseas pro journey too on a brand new team in southeastern Europe. Love seeing how pro ball looks all over the world! Definitely stoked to see more of your videos.
@@JamesLeithart I appreciate that bro! Goodluck on your season 🙏
This is awesome content man, I played D3 soccer for one year before I quit after breaking my foot so it's cool to see you pursuing your pro career in Taiwan. I'm half Taiwanese and have always wanted to live there as an adult so would be interesting to hear about the differences between US and Taiwan life along with any tips you have for people visiting!
@@ChangNation thank you! And will definitely be posting more videos about Taiwan life!
Thanks for sharing, i am also living in Taiwan and it has been an adjustment too
Man it must be tough to be looking Chinese, with a Chinese name, living in a Chinese speaking country, and yet don't really speak or write it. It's like a in between experience. I had this in my early twenties living in Japan while being stationed with the US navy in Atsugi, it's super weird when I head to the local Japanese supermarket and the clerk there realize I can't speak Japanese but speak fluent English.
@@harveylin3548 yeah it’s definitely something that needed adjusting to. But in a way I’m forced to learn being in this environment which is good for me longer term
@@EthanChung7pray for you man
That’s awesome ✝️ Remember, you are living the average guys dream. Success comes with sacrifice
@@andrefl4641 🙏 never take it for granted

Hey bro, I'm a high school player in NZ and I'm also trying to get to one of the asian leagues, do you have any tips for achieving this?
Stay in the gym! Consistent work is gonna get you where you want to go
Hey bro can you make a video on some exercises or warm-ups that pro athletes do? Also, do you play with Dwight Howard??
I got you bro. And I did for a tournament that I was. With him, Demarcus Cousins and Quinn Cook!
@ That’s sick my guy 🔥 looking forward to the vid!!!
And also your diet, I wonder do you just ate Chinese food all the time, or do you have workout meals that you eat specifically.
@ that’ll be another video 👍
Great stuff! Keep it up!
@@lukasperformance thank you bro!
Hello! Can you do a vid about taiwan pro ball salaries? Cost of living as an asian pro baller
What is the typical salary for someone playing ball in Taiwan?
@@TheYuh2 Definitely varies based on experience/history
It's a funny kind of predicament that your talent and hard work takes to a level where you are elite enough to play pro but then with that you are thrusted into a situation where you are in a foreign country, fish out of water, a somewhat insular existence. Like the same skill that put you on top is the same that put you at ground zero, if you know what I mean. An "alien" of sorts.
@@cnl1213 definitely. I like to think of it as a completely new chapter in my life. Something I’ve never experienced before and I’m just glad I can live it while I’m young.
He is of Taiwanese descent tho so it ain’t that foreign. Taiwan welcomes him
