Changing the Narrative Behind D3 Basketball
Переглядів 2,9 тис.Місяць тому
In this video, I’m sharing my personal journey through Division 3 basketball and why it’s far more than just a stepping stone. D3 hoops are often overlooked, but the grind, the dedication, and the passion that come with it are what truly make it special. I’m here to change the narrative and show that D3 players have the heart, skill, and work ethic it takes to succeed, both on and off the court...
Day In The Life Of A Pro Hooper In Taiwan | Shooting Workout
Переглядів 6 тис.Місяць тому
Come with me for a shooting workout before my team’s evening practice. In this video I show a shooting workout that I do when I don’t have a rebounder. For many players at any level, you won’t have a rebounder when you go shoot. While not having a rebounder can be hard, it is still possible to have productive workouts. Follow this workout the next time you go shoot! Shooting Workout: docs.googl...

    yo Ethan, Im a 15 yr old sophmore, just got cut from jv and was cut from freshman, and I'm looking on ways to improve specifically my ball iq and ball handling, but overall I know I need to strengthen all parts of my game. I'm 6ft and I'm naturally an off the catch 3 pt shooter (so SQ position) any advice for me next season?

    Fellow Christian here, my son is 12 years old, and is also enthusiastic about basketball, what is your advice for a young player his age, what is the most important thing he needs to work on if he wants to pursue professional basketball?

    Honestly, I would agree 100% with you about the grind of D3 hoops (even though I finished 10 years ago). I played four years for a school in Georgia and by my senior year, I was the only one left from my incoming class of 20+.

    At my school everyone had there parents paying there tuition except me. I was so burnt out. Honestly I'd suggest JUCO before D3 as it will be way cheaper and probably keep you local.

    Even if you’re playing club basketball at your college like I did at my D1 school and never got promoted to the NCAA team which faced jucos, another club team and one main team since that school only had one team, Chung makes an excellent point. The love, the passion and the fire must be everlasting to survive college basketball. I’ve seen many teammates quit and leave the college altogether myself from junior to senior year.

    @lebryantjordanson Місяць тому

    I'm a D3 track athlete, but I basketball was my main sport in HS, I was just better at track and stuck with it. Man and I'm kinda glad I did that. You have to really be passionate to play a D3 team sport like basketball or football. I see them working these guys like crazy and often there's no promise of your hard work paying off in terms of getting to play. And I'm over just chilling, still working hard lol but individual sports are a much different dynamic than team sports in terms of chances at opportunities to shine.

    Hey ethan,im a 16 year old junior in high school and I’ve recently been falling in love with basketball. Ever since 8th grade people have been telling me to play bc of my height (I was 5’11 then and currently I am 6’1) I have no idea if you will see this comment but what are some tips for someone who started playing basketball a bit later than their peers and is there any advice you would just generally give to stay on this grind? Sincerely,Akeem Ashley

    • @EthanChung7
      @EthanChung7 Місяць тому

      Whats up Akeem! If your goal is to play on your high school basketball team, or even beyond, then I would say you have to be in the gym every day. Working on the fundamentals, shooting, finishing, lifting. Finding a trainer to help develop your skills at a faster rate. Especially if you are starting later, this would definitely be my advice for you.
