I like listening to classical music and I really love how my bose soundlink flex reproduces it. The mids and highs are rich but not exaggerated. The sound is very nice and balanced. I can totally recommend it.
The Sony speakers sound like they have a bit too much midbass/lower midrange, which can cause problems with reproduction of male voices. They sound a bit boomy. The JBL sounds a bit flatter through the bass region, but it also sounds a bit edgy, like there's something boosted in the highs somewhere. It sounded better than the Bose speaker and the Marshall speaker though. If I HAD to choose between these speakers, it would be either the XE300 (and use an EQ app to tame it), or the JBL Flip 6. But if other options are available, I'd explore them.
I think the JBL and the Bose sound the best here, the Sonys are too muffled and sound boomy 'cause they have too strong upper bass, but no deep bass at all (as much as you can talk about ''deep bass'' in such small speakers), they look a lot bigger too, more comparable to a Charge 5 in size... nice vid btw
PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS. Just a thought on the JBL Flip 6 vs the Bose SoundLink Flex. They are the same size and according to the internet the bose has a larger transducer than the JBL but the JBL has a tweeter and an adjustable equalizer within the app where as at this time on the bose connect app there is not an equalizer to adjust the sound. But I have another bose speaker and it uses a different music app and it runs on the bose msuic app and in the bose music app it has an equalizer so you can adjust the bass and the treble to your liking. And in the JBL portable app you can do the same thing except you can also adjust the mid-range. Bose could add an EQ to there app in the future/near future. Bc I read on the internet that when the JBL flip 6 was released it did not have an adjustable eq within its app for its speakers. But now it has an eq in the app. I think with the equalizer off on the JBL the bose sounds better but with the eq on I think the JBL sounds better. So if bose added an equalizer that could change things. I know the speaker has position IQ technology where it’s supposed to adjust the sound depending on which way you lay it but it would be nice to be able to turn that off if you wanted to. A similar portable speaker called the sonos roam has a similar feature but in the sonos s2 app you can turn that feature off. In the bose app you cannot do that or on the speaker itself either. And also Sonos has an adjustable EQ within the app like the JBL. The bose is behind the times with that but I bet they’ll change for the better. I would turn position IQ off and have an equalizer set to my liking if I could. I prefer my bose soundlink flex to sit upright so it’s pointing at me but they say it will produce more bass if you lay it flat, in my testing this is true. A little more bass for sure. Which I like. But I shouldn’t have to lay it flat to get maximum bass output. And the speaker needs better rubber feet on it because sometimes it will move it self. Or vibrate itself off the table. So I would recommend not placing it near the edge of a table if you don’t have to. Thank you for whoever actually takes the time to read this.
The passive radiators are covered up might have something to do with it and all the sounded is squeezed out of the rectangular strip when the JBL flip 6 went on the sound was deep and alive and the Bose Flex another fabulous speaker watched it on QVC LAST NIGHT 129.95 now and it now comes in carmine red.
Good day. I understand that everyone has a different sense of sound, but still, which is better, whose sound is closer to the original, without exaggerated bass or highs, balanced - emberton2 or bang & olufsen beosound explore or bose flex? It was not possible to listen to marshall and bose at the same time, and in general to listen to bang & olufsen, my feeling is that the flex plays better than the flip6. Or Sony better? Which?

I’ve just heard a demo of a new Klipsch speaker coming out in a few weeks. It’s called Nashville. It definitely took its design queues from the Emberton, but sounds better in my opinion. A little deeper bass than the Emberton and more crisp vocals. And all the while very balanced.

For outdoor settings like street courts and also with home use would you recommend the Emberton II or Flip 6? Bass is kinda important to me but not a top priority. Love your vids!
@@DannyPops Alright thanks man. Is the discrepancy between the bass quality of the Emberton II and Flip 6 all that large? especially at louder volumes and outside and stuff

No. That bass isn’t “clean” that bass of the XE200, I’m sorry to say it, but it’s the worst bass you can get on a speaker at this size. Bass shouldn’t sound like that. From my testing the bass cuts out at about 160Hz on the XE200 and that got me thinking WTF is going on with SONY, the EQ is so off that it’s peaked at around 200Hz, making the sound very muddy and the vocals are all crumpled up with the bass. The high frequency is also very bad on the XE200, probably because of the design of it that sink the drivers inside the body. The XE200 just doesn’t have anything, there’s no bass at all, there’s no clean mids, the highs sound like a toy… I’m sorry but SONY really made me disappointed.
After the clock radio sound of my xb33 compared to a $60 JBL clip I’ll never buy another Sony bluetooth speaker again, tbh I have no clue how it has so many good reviews
