When the Bose started playing, it made the Marshall sound cheap, that's just my own opinion.
The Bose does sound good!
And then the JBL started playing….wooooooooh 🔉🎛👌🔥
Thanks for testing different types of music in each one of them .. i was really hesitating on buying marshall but once Ive heard these tests.. Bose really demonstrated that it is on top “in my opinion” .. very clear sound in every kind of music uve played.. thanks for that .. would like to hear some guitar/ blues or rock music .. but I think it is ok .. the result is widely clear
It’s true
I bought marshall embertson recently and i am really not satisfied with the sound quality. I was thinking of returning it and choosing bose over it. I already have a sony srs xb21. And even though sony one is a lot cheaper than embertson, sony sounds much more like a speaker should! It sets my mood instantly to the music which embertson fails to do!
Awesome sound comparison. Best I've seen. Really gave me the impressions of these models I've been looking for.
*Thank you for the detailed sound comparison. Appreciate it!* 🤗
Solid review as usual!
I have the Flip 6 and Emberton II. I love both, but I lean towards the Marshall more. Sound-wise, cannot go wrong with either purchase. The Marshall just looks cooler, has simple physical interface controls, has the longer battery life, is easy to pair up when juggling multplee sources, but most importantly, is shaped like a box. I tend to move my laptop table around often, and the Flip 6 would always roll off the edge. lol
you can put them in 3 diffrent categories. Bose is most neutral sound. JBL is clubmusic and Marshal leans towards aucustic live music sound. If you try play the "correct" songs for each speaker they will come alive for real. There are 3 diffrent sound filters that are slightly tuned for diffrent consumers depending on the brand.
You are completely right, each brand has their respective niche market. Classic, Rock and Urban.
Tottaly agree
Cual me recomiendan para clasico y romántico , y urbano?????
And which one is the best of classical music? Or are there other loudspeakers on the market for that? Or will that require a different level of audio? I am a classical concert pianist and like to take the device with me to play the backing tracks of the orchestra on other places
@@RobinDaelman I'd say the bose
Pro presentation, surprised you don’t have at least 500k subscribers
I’m sold on the Bose for sure having been on the fence about the Soundlink Mini when it first came out
Thank you! Glad you found the video helpful
Sound link mini is good for like your room. The flex is good for like the living room if that makes sense and that’s on 50 percent each . at higher levels it’s more than enough
Great review man
As a Marshall owner I have to bow deep down to the dust and unwillingly admit tha Bose sounded better in your test. But all in all I am very satisfied with my Marshall.
New to this channel, amazing review, awesome presentation, excelent quality! Got a new subscriber! Thank you!
Thank you!
Nice video bro! Getting my bose soundlink today. Thanks
just a little constructive crit - but as a listener trying to REALLY hear the differences, it helps to have shorter clips. maybe you could do a sequence of short ones in diff styles THEN do longer ones for overall atmospherics or grooves.
the setup and presentation and visuals are fantastic.
It was time to replace my Bose Mini, and wanted to go with the JBL Flip 6 because I really like the look of it. After comparing the JBL and Bose Flex, I went with the Bose because of the quality of the sound. Plus they do have an automatic EQ adjustment depending on the position the speaker is in that really works and don't have to fiddle around with an app to adjust like you have to do with the JBL.
How's the battery in 70% how much battery backup you get??
The Soundlink Flex would also be my choice between these three (for sound quality) although I think the Emberton 2 looks the best. Thank you for another great comparison! 👍
Agreed...thanks for watching!
I’ve had the Bose soundlink flex for a few months and the sound & quality is really impressive for the price. My favorite portable speakers I’ve ever had! Wouldn’t of gotten them without all the raving UA-cam reviews on them! 😁
It seems that the Flex is getting a lot of positive feedback from customers who own it. I might have to upgrade at some point, I have owned the Bose Soundlink Color 2 for a couple years and I still use it, sound quality is pretty good. But the newer Flex takes it to a much better level.
In this comparison, the Bose sounded the best without a doubt. You had it playing louder than the other two, but even after adjusting the volume, it still just sounded more full-range and clear. 2nd place would be the Marshall, it was a bit more balanced, even though it missed the Bose's authority. The JBL was good, but a bit uneven in comparison. However, in other reviews, I found the three much closer together. I think the only way to find out which one fits for you is to try them live.
And in my opinion the Bose Flex sounds way better (more open) on its back. It has position EQ and the treble is increased (but not shrill like JBL) and you can hear more background instruments.
Bose- Sound full, very well balanced sound and loud. Marshall- sounds very bright not much bass, almost sounds distorted. JBL -sounds unbalanced and muddy. Although the bass is there the highs are fighting to be hear and end up distorted. JBL is better than Marshall but bose takes the crown on this one
thanks for the video. I never hear classical & jazz music when it comes to these sound-speakers. Is there a reason for it ? Or will that require a different level of audio? I am a classical concert pianist and like to take the device with me to play the backing tracks of the orchestra on other places
Keep up the great work. Thanks.
The Marshall sounds quieter overall in the sound test. I wonder if it just doesn't go as loud, or maybe the volume levels could be tweaked?
The Marshall seems to beat the JBL in range--the bass and treble are better--but the JBL kills it in the midrange vocals. I like metal, so for me it's the Marshall. I would bet most people would lean toward the JBL.
It most likely sounded quieter due to having the second speaker in the back. Putting it against a wall improves it drastically
Budget+bass • JBL
Looks+battery life • Marshall
Crystal clear sound+bass • Bose

MArshall has two drivers. Stereo in marhsall and mono in JBL and bose. I have this spekaers and the revolve series. The marshall has more articulate details than de other mono speakers downmixing the sound to mono.
Hi, which one would you recommend (maybe bought as a pair) to watch a film projected in the garden/terrace by my Samsung freestyle? Consider that I would need them as a secondari audio system to take in my suitcase on holiday. Thank you in advance for any reply.
I like this review even though I don’t invest in Bluetooth speakers since I have a very good pair of bookshelf speakers but good job my friend this was an excellent review
Thanks bro!
Great comparison video. Can you do another comparison by including Earfun UBoom L and B&O Beosound Explore please? Or perhaps Bose Soundlink Flex vs. Earfun UBoom L?
I owned both the Uboom L and Flex, and I returned the Uboom L. I didn’t like the sound. It sounded a little boxy at times. Vocals particularly sounded off. The Flex sounds very good imo.
Thank you so much. Super needed this comparison!
so professional testing. thanks for testing
No problem!
The Bose just sounds soo clear! Thank you for the amazing sound test, it helped me a lot 😊
Great informative video! You have an amazing voice and could easily listen to you for hours! Much respect from the uk.
Nice job review
I just got the Bose soundlink flex. Phenomenal sound especially when volume is at maximum. No distortion clean sound. 👍🏼👍🏼
Why flex has got bluetooth 4.2 😭😭😭😭
I tried this in a store today and sound started cracking on just 8m range😭
the bose sounds 😳😳😳🤯 mind blowing
For me flip 6 is the winner and I have it . I’m very impressed of it’s sound quality and loudness.
Flip 6 sound muddy and it has no sound separation
@@BOO-dq4vl nope no muddy sound. If you play the right song with vocal and bass it is clear. You can use the equalizer of the player or using jbl portable app and enhance it. I didn't face any issue having muddy sound I can hear very clear. The only difference is it has very clear bass than Bose flex.
@@BOO-dq4vl it is a mono speaker not stereo. To get sound separation you need to add speaker connecting through party boost.

@@dewayneamos so true sir
I'm ending up getting all three as various Xmas gifts. Just wanted to say you have good taste in music dude.
Thanks!
which one do you think is the best
@@egga3675 The Bose for volume and bass, the Marshall for vocals and physical style, and the JBL as a good middle ground. The Bose also floats if you drop it in a pool off the side of a boat.
@@artarealmblazer8452 thanks a lot!!
Thank you for the comparison, very helpful to decide.
Just got my marshall yesterday. It's sounds amazing people have put this down its just a Bluetooth speaker.
If you want bigger sounds piece together a home stereo!
Anything bigger, heavier and pricey is just defeating the purpose of small and convenient!
Been nice if you throw in some prices of these mini speaker boxes .
Hard to really compare the video on phone speakers. I listened to all three on store displays, which didn't allow as much volume control for fair comparison. All considered my home system, of course, blows all of them completely out if the water. Since the purchase and purpose is for portability, and the sound quality is competitive, with differences, I chose the Marshall for battery life, and decent bass for a small speaker. No regrets. Thanks for your time and effort.
Fair enough. But let's say someone is gifting Bose flex or Bose revolve 2. Then which would you pick?
Hi Ceonthemaking - Do you have a list or video about the best longevity? Audio quality not changing or dead batteries after years of use.
I don't unfortunately
I recently bought the Emberton 2 on Black Friday Sale for $119. I’m a manager and didn’t want the phone feature of the Bose because my office is shared and sometimes a call can be accidentally answered. I love the classic look, build quality, and sound over all because I play it at low volume. The Bose Sound Flex is a much better option for taking outside or where you can crank up the volume.
Great video my man! What’s the name of that song? That was a jam!
Thanks! Which song exactly?
Thank you. I am making it difficult for me to choose one. It is Bose or Marshall now.
Great Job 👍🏾
Thank you!
😀😀Emberton 2 - Bose Soundlink Flex -JBL Flip 6 - Test I listened closely to the end... The conclusion was that they were all good. It was the best sound... Each sound had a different charm... Emberton charm... JBL charm. ...Bose's charm...everything was top-tier...I enjoy it in stereo with 2 Flip 6's...I also have an Emberton 1...I also want a Bose Soundlink Flex...I enjoyed watching the video. I was happy. Thank you...this is Korea ^^
The first song in the sound test is MILKK - Dasani Water
I may be the only person who didn't know this, but I tracked it down, so if you were wondering, now you know.
nice audio shootout. 1. Bose 2. JBL 3.Marshall
Excellent review, subscribing now
I actually bought a Soundlink Flex and I've been happy with it. I agree it sounded the best in the tests. The JBL was a little tinny. I think maybe the Marshall could have used EQ.
As an Audio Engineer and mixer for the past 29 years.. it’s the JBL and Bose for me! The bass along with sound quality is superior and usually you sacrifice one for the other. The Apps EQ controls are great too! It lets you custom your sound
In reality, what you are listening to this review on is going to shape how each speaker sounds, and also the microphone used to record it. I am using some Bose QuietComfort 15 headphones and they do fine but are not the best. I like the looks of the Marshall, then JBL then Bose. In listening to this, the Marshall sounds boxy, the Bose sounds smooth but a little lacking in base and the JBL sound clearer but also lacking in base. In reality, I am not sure you can trust listening to these reviews. Your best bet is to find a store and listen to the actual product. I have an old JBL Charge 2 which I love. Sounds great. I have a friend who has the Bose and he loves it. Side by side, they both sound really good, but really different. It is hard to describe. I really like this reviewer however as he give lots of good information.
Thanks for sharing and comparison between the three. Bose wins it with tone quality.
Can anyone tell me what was the name of the first song that had been played in the sound test?
I have the Flex, Bose Portable Speaker, Bose Soundlink Mini ll, and JBL Flip 5. I just purchased the B and O A1 2nd Gen yesterday and awaiting its arrival. My favorite speaker is the Flex because it checks all the boxes for listening pleasure and it is probably the best speaker on the market today. I've never heard a B and O speaker before so I am looking forward to see if it really is all that it has claimed to be.
How did it turn out compared to the Flex, Flip and Emberton 2?
@@artarealmblazer8452 it sounds exactly like the Flex except it is a nth slightly more refined with a slightly smaller sound signature.
@@kingkobra1956 Thanks for your input. If size and money wouldn't be a problem, sound quality alone, which one would you take?
I have the (B & O) Bang & Olufsen.damn ! I won't look any further.that Bluetooth speaker has amazing sound it come with equalizer built in it with that beosonic sound which is bose doesn't have.do the research
@@kingkobra1956 Ok. Verizon has the silver for $150. I was trying to get the green for someone but that’s currently over $200, waiting till Black Friday.

My guy! Thank you
Out of these three, I choose the BOSE SoundLink Flex. It sounds really nice!
Great choice!
@@CEONTHEMAKING Is Flex's sound much better than Emberton 2, so you can claim that any time without a doubt because the reality is that we can't hear that through UA-cam? If I listen to Flex with $3 earphones and Emberton with $500... I would probably say that Flex sounds rubbish, and Emberton is amazing. I've seen other videos where people praise Emberton a lot. Are they all wrong? This way, I can't notice a big difference that I would say, yes, I would pick Bose over Emberton any time. I can say that I like Emberton's design a lot. What about other Marshall speakers? Cheers!
@@LillyAugusta Can I anser too? --- These videos are only inspiration and the first information. You should try to listen it live. I - for example - have (and could) never said that BOSE SoundLink is the best speaker ever. But I must say that it sounds the most pleasant, for me. It is a very good choice! But try it somewhere or somehow...
@@Concionator No worries; thanks for your reply! I'm thinking out loud, so I can give myself an explanation (it could also be helpful to others). You are right. I don't rely exclusively on what is said in one review. I do watch a lot and then make a conclusion which suits me the best. I don't doubt that Bose has the best sound, but how much better is it than Marshall, so I would choose to buy it. I couldn't resist the design of Marshall, and finally, I picked Stockwell II. And I love it! I love how they made it...
I find the sound pretty interesting. It is coloured compared to the stereo I listen to at home all the time, not comparable... but for me, not disturbing at all, really interesting. I am no audiophile as it is popular these days. I love music, and sound is a bonus. I can listen to music that I love on crapy speakers and still enjoy it! I don't do that anymore, but I did a pretty big part of my life, and it didn't bother me. I can afford better sound these days, but the sound is just a bonus; the music matters. And I didn't need these speakers; I am just a collector of not-very-expensive stuff. And these speakers are fabulous, I am happy to have bought it even if I won't use it... or very rarely. I like this guy and his reviews... if I were to recommend to anyone I know which to buy, soundwise, I would recommend Bose SoundLink Flex ;)
But for me... Marshall is gold :)
Enjoy music! Cheers!
That Bose killed the marshall ijs
What is the sound test song?
Bose Bluetooth 4.2 in 2022 terrible idea
Very big sound difference. Flex for sure.
I like your reviews. They are really good. Clear and concise.
My opinion is that, as you said, it depends on what people like. Personally, because of the music I listen to, rock mostly, I found the JBL terrible for my taste, and although I'm a Marshall lover, I have to give it BOSE, they win this round, at least in my eyes.
Thanks for another great review.
Cheers!
Bose Flex is official. It's better than the original soundlink, and I loved that thing. The Flex sounds full, and the bass is NICE.
I just got the sound link and it’s the best choice if all u care about sound, who cares if looks simple!
I'm inside a Mail truck all day and listen to a little bit of everything music wise and some sports talk. Want the best sound but needs to compete against a loud fan(no ac in the trucks). Which of these do you think would sound better playing at a louder volume w/o getting too distorted?
poproś o porządną i nowoczesną europejską ciężarówkę bez głośnego wentylatora i gdzie prawie nie słychać silnika, za to posiadającą porządne fabrycznie zainstalowane audio. Poczujesz luksus.
i tried all these at best buy and the flex hands down
all 3 are very very good for what it is. take the cheapest and you do right i think ^^
I listened to all 3 at Target (granted each with their company demo setup) and the Emberton sounded like a speaker half the price of the Bose. The JBL as it always does to me sounds good until vocals kick in. They always sound so hallow like in an empty hallway. Great party speaker where clarity isn’t as important.
The Bose sounded the best for sure…like really good with the Target demo. And I’ve heard different Bose speaker demos at Target over the many years and never really liked Bose sound…usually muffled vocals. But this Flex seems to have fixed the vocals clarity that I find most Bose to lack.
I was most disappointed with the Emberton though. I had high hopes. Love the style, but It just sounded cheap, but at $160 it is anything but.
One speaker I keep hearing good things about is the Earfun Uboom L. I am not a bass head and do prefer accurate clarity with a more balanced approach. Vocals are important to me with them being clear and slightly forward but not shrilling either. I already ordered a Bose Flex but I’m tempted to order the Uboom L as well for $60. In my YT listening I do prefer the Oluv tuning, but from what I hear that doesn’t come stock and you have to flash the speaker with a PC. I’m not too excited about doing that.
Great review and songs play down.
This is this best review I've seen so far. But JBL all day bruh.
look so better than others for the jbl flip6
I CHOOSE BOSE OVER JBL AND MARSHALL WITHOUT NO DOUBT! 🥰
Marshall is just like a toy i sold mine and bought the Bose!
When the Bose played, feels like no questions asked. Auto "W" 😅
The Bose sound link flex is the best speaker Bose has made in years.
Wtb mini 2?
who knows the title of the 2nd song played? thanks
which one should i buy charge 5 or Soundlink Flex??? pls help!!!!!
i concern about sound quality and sound clarity!!! portability and size factor doesn't make sense to me!!!!
I prefer the sound quality of the Flex.
which speaker is best for near field listening aand on low volume? i have other BtS that sounds big and good but only if i'm at a distance. I'm looking for something that sounds similar to my macm1 speaker but a little louder. Mostly i will use it in my room probably 1-2meters meters away from the speaker that is why i prefer something like a quietly loud BTS if there is such a thing 😁
Probably the Marshall or Bose
Bose soundlink revolve. I've used all and tried all and all rounder, base and everything the Bose soundlink revolve is best
I have marshall but as from all these bose is really on top 🔝🙌it sounds so good
thank you
😊
nice sound test. overall, marshall seemed balanced thru all frequencies. jbl sounded like listening to music in a tin can. bose sounded like it had too much treble with good base, but without much mid range frequencies coming thru.
Soundlink Flex just leaves all others in the dust.
I thought about going for the Marshalls because of their premium look but now I’m gonna go towards the Bose link since it sounds better
May sound better in the video, but in person I like the marshall.better than the bose
I just listened to all 3 at Target in the demo and the Flex sounded a lot better than the Emberton. As for the JBL, it is just a party speaker. It’s not a high fidelity sound.
@@joelf5565 I tested all these plus a few more outside in my backyard. Bose was good but not a keeper to me.
same, checked so many videos and everywhere bose sounded better but when I checked in person, only Marshall has a deep premium sound, and Bose is not much better than JBL. By the end choosing between Mrarshall and B&O A1, they are both way better than flex or JBL@@Phenom-rl5pr
What are the songs used?
i like marshal emberton sound, this is so warm and clear but volume is low also
There is one big disadvantage theta the marshall speaker has, it has a back fireing speaker. It need a wall to backfire the full noise at you.
The 360 degree sound of the Emerton appeals to me more than the forward sound of the other 2
Bose flex when laid down, because of its position iq gives a better 360 sound than emberton
The Bose to me doesn’t look very appealing tho…it just looks ‘Bose’
Thanks sir
The Beatles for me: Bose😝
Excellent video bro!
Marshall ! Battery double ! Tks ! I have sony xb33 from 3 yrs and still the baterry on full power is 6-7 h , so Marshall is Best for me!
9:40 songs name ? Please say anybody
I need a speaker for my scooter & that Marshall & that 360 degrees speaker sound like it's what I need the bose sound link sound nice but maybe to big for my scooter needs..glad you played some hip-hop type music these other cats ain't doing nothing but easy music which does really check all the boxes till you test it on Hip-hop music..👍🏽
Whats the first song you used for the sound test??
Hammer Smashed Face - Cannibal Corpse
I just hoped you would include hard rock music or metal in sound quality comparison. Guitar riffs and vocals might of different in that three speakers. Not all of your subscribers are in to RnB or Drum n Bass music. Thanks.
No one uses these small speakers for hard rock. It's mostly designed to highlight bases and digitalized music. In rock music, it's mostly acoustic with guitars and drums.
@@mordmartin Plenty of people do. Myself included
@@mordmartin - I also listen to a lot of hard rock on bluetooth speakers.
Flip 6 even batter if you place on correct place front of mic
Flip 6 for the best cleanest sound👍
*Because of this comparison i got my Bose Speaker today* 😂
I maybe the only one. But I felt JBL sounded better because of its clarity and deeper bass. And also I like its form factor more than other 2.
The JBL sounds a little shrill and hollow. If you want more treble the Bose Flex goes on its back and the EQ is automatically adjusted to increase treble, but never shrill or hollow. IMO it sounds even better that way and is how I listen to it exclusively.
When doing a sound comparison: play the EXACT same loop, or same part of the song for each speaker.
I went with the Bose after sampling all three speakers. I have the first JBL Extreme that I use outdoors by our wide open pool area and I’m very happy with the sound quality and level, but I needed one that’s easier to carry around when traveling. The Bose just sounded better than the JBL Flip 6. I was almost swayed by the Marshall but I kept going back to Bose for the better sound quality. Very happy with the purchase. Can’t compare to the volume coming out of the Extreme. But I’ve also already replaced the battery in it twice in only 4 years.
Sound link and jbl for sure
