I like how the cold never breaks character. Like he does not give two shits about what the mirror means he just wants to get away from the other voices
There was that one path through, forgot where it was but all the voices were disappearing, and the cold was surprised. He said he thought he was better than the others
Kinda like how it shows that the Moment of Clarity got under his skin as well. All of his line are always extremely composed, and even when he voices (ahah) his annoyance, you can barely hear it. But in front of the mirror, he *sounds* seriously annoyed and you can tell he's glad to be done with it. He doesn't show him as much as the rest of them, due to his personnality shielding him from the trauma, but the route affected him a bit too.
I think the cold is reminiscent to our real personality as tge long quiet. A lot of what he says in regards to death is wuite similar to the shifting mound's ideology.

I could be wrong about this, but I believe the main head is supposed to be the one that we can’t really tell the personality of. The middle stairs. All of the other ones are just as her as she is, but it feels like she’s sort of the one putting everyone’s mess of thoughts together into a coherent sentence. If The Long Quiet *is* most like The Voice of The Cold, I could definitely see more similarities between the two… Not that I do or don’t believe that, this is just me rambling…
It’s kind of unsettling because the mirror usually represents death; Hero is usually afraid of it and Hunted always remarks how it reeks of death. Yet here, all of the voices accept it in their own ways because of how terrifying and exhausted they were after experiencing the Moment of Clarity. Hero is ready to accept it, Broken, for once, instead of lamenting actually feels peaceful, Paranoid is no longer afraid because there is nothing he can do, Stubborn is tired from fighting and is ready to rest Smitten’s heart is quiet, meaning his love for the Princess is now satisfied and he’s resigned himself to death, Cheated is no longer happy to play the game and is bitter that it’s over Cold is just happy to be rid of the other voices (he’s also the voice that has consistently never been wary of death) Skeptic wants to see the truth of their existence and knows dying is the only thing that will lead to it Hunted is probably exhausted from all of the fear and just wants to sleep Contrarian, of course, just wants to be outta there because it’s not funny anymore Opportunist tries to get the last word and of course, ends it in a way that tries to give the others a positive impression of him
Spoilers for a good ending: If the mirror represents death and all the voices accept it, then it’s quite fitting for the ending where you reject godhood and leave with the princess. That one is the canon ending for me ☺️
