The reason that the princess was able to escape is simple. The cabin changes with his perspective, so that means that he went from "It's just a princess" to "If this is so important, than couldn't the princess free herself?"
That's actually a very good observation I never noticed that until now.
Now what happens if a guy with the "I can fix her" perspective is sent in?

love how the world being referred to as 'the sky, the birds, the trees' comes back at the end. They also could have meaning, the sky is only really seen in the ending(s) or when the princess gets out (in the beginning its 'night or day' but similar enough), both the protagonist and the narrator are birds, and the outside is almost always described by mentioning the trees/woods
Could the birds also be a small nod to one of the razor's dialogue options?

I can tell this was made for the Demo due to the Old Stranger design, but is very fitting for Smitten, Broken and Stubborn to be here, because ultimately of all 11 voices those are the ones who are the most blatant in their love for their respective princess, in their own way.

@@YW3-again. The old design of the stranger was one of my favorites princesses (and the first one I saw so I was somewhat shocked). I was really curious to know how she would be like, she seemed to be friendly enough. I was left with the doubt...
I love that you had the eldritch form of the princess reveal the fact that the cabin shifts, because out of all of them, she would be the one to teach you how your perception shifts the reality of the situation. Lots of clever stuff in here.

3:13 THE CHAIN BREAKING AND ECHOING GAVE ME CHILLS OH MY GOD
Just for those who didn't play the game, this isn't how the story plays out. Well kind of, as there is a LOT more too it.
So please don't watch this and think "oh well now I know the plot". The game is amazing, such as this song.
There are more voices, more perspectives, more grotesque depictions , more choices , more shifts and a prolonged end that can shift as you like it.
In the end if you don't bend you may slay but if you remember your first choice maybe you'd get another fate , the one you hoped for , the fate that was deemed as impossible.
When you give up all and still gain something that for some means the world , a Beginning.
A unfettered path beyond the narrative.
All that I can say without spoilers.
And remember choices matter but if you remain unbending just stop at the end and wonder how you wanna go down the stairs for the fate is sealed after the first step you may bend it you may undo but you may not change unless you begin anew, a true restart.
Reminds me of Hellsing abridged.

Pretty good, my only real complaint is the mischaracterization of The Voice of the Stubborn. Stubborn doesnt care about killing, he wants a good fight, the killing is incedental.
I think the video is based on the Demo Designs (Hence old stranger) and Voice of the Obsessed, who would become Stubborn in the final release, was sorta different back then.
Lets imagine the Stubborn is REALLY wanting a fight, knowing that death doesn’t matter, but still yearns for it anyway

Now this is what I have been waiting for. A song that perfectly encapsulates the feel of the game. Darkness, dread, and mystery. You killed it in every aspect. The vocals, the music, and the feel. This was amazing! I cannot wait to see more!

Im all of the views, literally me, the replay button is fused to my hand, my headphones know wassup so they prepare this song before i even put them on. I moved to a cabin in the woods just to have an accurate listening experience, this song hits hard so i use it rather than the blade to slay princesses
One nitpick is that the line "if our friend doesn't remember; let him think we've just begun!" Should have been given to someone else other than the Broken

I think that it could’ve gone to the Opportunist, but it doesn’t change how amazing it sounds!
Broken's lines just don't seem to fit him in general, it'd be better if they were the Hero's instead, since he literally says that in the game anyway.
Originally it was the Hero but when the recordings came in they were a bit more emotional sounding than I expected so I figured Broken would fit better since he's super dramatic in-game. Weird decision on my part looking back, this song was in development since July so my judgement wasn't the best towards the end.
Lesson learned: I shouldn't second guess myself, I wish I could go in and change the subtitles haha
Fun fact: The voice of the Stubborn's lines were meant for a character that was only in the original demo of the game. I found out they were removed and replaced later in development so I had to change the name in the video too xD

Fantastic. One of my few complaints about the songs about video game scene on youtube is that a lot of smaller games get completely overlooked for all the bigger more popular ones. And slay the princess was right on the top of my list of games I felt like deserved people writing music about it but just assumed wouldn't. So I'm glad not just that you did it, but it's a hell of a catchy song as well.

1:30 I absolutely ADORE the use of the main leitmotif here, really brings the whole thing together. This is a wonderful song that really invokes the main themes of the game, fantastic stuff.

I actually tried doing Paranoid's 'Heart, Lungs, Liver, Nerves' to the beat. It's in 4/4, so it works quite well. And both times 'heart' is said in the song line up perfectly. Unfortunately, the one 'lungs' doesn't, but nothing is perfect.
Considering the song was written before the game released I think that’s a pretty good accomplishment, Still wish I included it somehow haha
