I remember my older sister being so terrified of the game that i had to play alongside her. I was a kid around that time and i was more courageous than her lmfao.
I had a thrilling run where in chapter 4 of no mercy I was in the construction floor and a tank spaened just as I encountered a dead end. It hit me twice but SOMEHOW managed to get out of it cornering me. I was limping through the area making my way to the safe house hoping no speciap infected or dead ends are encountered while the tank is ON MY LIMPING HEELS! I saw the aafe room door and coild here with audio I was dangerously close to the tank and barely managed to get to the room and close it in time. Last man standing is so fun.
4:06 a tip for fighting witches is to crouch and get as close as possible once you close mag dump her with anything but a pistol this usually kills them instantly but it’s best with a shot gun and aiming for there head ofc
Yknow i really dont get why people are genuinely hating this guy for not playing the game like a god, like bro, sometimes people are gonna be playing the same game as you for years straight, they don’t know what to do nor do they know the ins and outs of everything, it makes me so disappointed to see people at this way, anyways i just wanna say i actually love this video a lot and as a pretty decent l4d2 player, you did great! @@duckwithachristmashaton6742 exactly! It makes me extremely happy to see people learn a game that i played a lot, its very heartwarming to see and im happy they are learning and getting better!
The only thing I’ve seen people talk about is that he shoots the witch when its not necessary, the game straight up tells you that you can avoid her so its understandable
I’ve started playing this mode last night. I haven’t gotten past dead center yet but I managed to get to the second to last act. I’ve definitely gotten to know the special infected a lot better and have figured out which ones are the worst. The easiest one is obviously the spitter, it has horrendous aim and dies with one melee hit. The next one is the charger. Assuming you’re not in an enclosed space and it doesn’t catch you off guard you can just bait it into crashing into a wall and kill it with two melee swings. Next is the witch. Most of the time she’s out of the way so you can just ignore her. God help you if she’s in the way. Next is the jockey. This little shit is where they start getting annoying, best advice I have is to keep your distance and shoot the shit out of him (obviously) if he does jump at you and miss a single melee hit should kill him. Next is the hunter. You need to dance with this asshole in order to kill him, just keep dodging and shooting. Next is the tank, start praying because you are likely screwed if he spawns. Only advice I have is to take advantage of fences, he keeps trying to climb over them to get to you instead of running around so use that to kill him, or just run. I haven’t encountered the boomer yet but I assume it’s even easier than the spitter assuming it can actually spawn in this mode. The smoker is annoying but easily heard, if you hear him just pay attention and light his ass up if you see him.
Even though the solo dialogues did sound like an overstretch, it would still make sense if that would be their case lore-wise. When I was a child and that was my first time playing it, I would play upbeat songs in my laptop and simply turn on the subtitles because I'm hearing-impaired and for extra alertness because of my aforementioned condition and the song in the background. I hope my brief story gives you an idea how to remain calm.
> Neglect shoving special infected. > Half the time charges in without a care in the world. > Shoots the Witch with an assault rifle. > Ignores the hunter right next to her. > Dies "Why is this game so hard?"
If you want the true horror experience, play the custom mutation called the last samurai (its last man on earth but with only a katana) and play the dark center (dead center but dark) or the dark parish.
I don't know, personally i've always played Left 4 Dead 2 with a lot of fear as i always had a deep fear of zombies, and also that there were times when the special infected jumped me and it always scare the shit out of me. For me left 4 dead is more a horror game with tones of comedy.
I remember being a kid in gamestop looking for a game to have my mom get which was pretty rare back then and I got left 4 dead after seeing it on the shelf. I never heard of it at the time. I remember being on the rooftop in no mercy waiting for the bots to lead the way and they never did so I made my mom watch me play it to keep me company
Not sure if you know or if anyone mentioned to you, but when a jockey or a hunter pounce to you, you can press the shove button at the right time and you will stagger them and shoot them then. Don’t know if this is helpful, but I thought I’d mention it :].
I’m probably not affected by the game much since I been playing it since I was like 8 but it’s absolutely hilarious seeing new players play. My girl jumps and screams everytime a hunter pounces her she plays similarly to you haha it’s always nice seeing new players enjoy the game
I honestly find it very chill and sometimes too easy. Also there is a workshop edit where you could play with 1 more person, even online, but it will double the specials and I think the spawnrate. I can’t tell if it’s more difficult or it’s very teammate-dependent.
This is one of the easiest ways to do expert campaigns, I did most of them on this mode, except for hard rain, anytime a tank would appear, I’d just set it on fire and run, but on here, with the rain, it would just get extinguished and continue chasing
Using an auto Shotty Or the Hunting or military Sniper + a Melee weapon makes this mode allot eastier. Chargers die in just 2 hits with melee and you can parry all incapitating specials with a well timed shove. As well as being able to cut smoker tongues if you time a melee swing right. After getting moderately good at parrying specials I was able to consistently do Expert runs Hunters & Jockies are probably the easiest to parry with smoker being the hardest.
I was only 7 when I played l4d, and my dad bought the game for him and his buddies to play. I saw him play once and I wanted to play with my friends, I invited 5 friends to play and take turns with and well 😂 we all shitted our pants 1st game. But today, we just play to get mad at each other🤣
Remember most special infected can be shoved except for Charger, Tank and Witch (you can stun and shove the witch but it's pretty hard and risky). In the instance with the hunter killing you while reloading, you coulda shoved it and melee'd it.
I played this mode four times. I actually found it fun and scary at the same time. Every time I heard either a hunter or jockey, I continuously spam shove and it worked for the most part then I go for the kill with a melee weapon. The knife is my favorite.
I managed to finish this mode 3 years ago and found the optimal strategy. It is to try to avoid the specials as MUCH AS POSSIBLE i see good players become blinded with killing and forget game sense
My man you do realize you can shove special infected to stagger or just straight up fuck them over right? Ive dealt with every hunter, jockey, and boomer that I have ever seen this way and it has worked without fail. Im pretty sure the game even tells you that you can shove special infected to keep them from pinning or actually attacking you.
homie standing there and reloading right after the hunter pounced him expecting that to work my guy if you get pounced and need to reload you gotta move. 💀💀💀
After playing all the campaigns missions, I played half of the game on last man on earth. To me the hardest part of it was the first mission, just specifically the mall, where I spent like an hour at the last part when I needed to fuel the sports car because of the tanks that periodically spawn and how you don’t get revived when downed by a tank.
I think it would be cool to see a mod where you start as 8+ survivors on advance/expert difficulty and you play through all of the campaigns as one campaign. The thing is there is permadeath so it would ne interesting to see how loneliness start build up with less and less people.
As a HOI4 addict who is also so bad at that game it boggles the mind of another buddy who finds it easy, this sounds like the experience for me 😎 Makes the eventual co-op experience all the more special and sweet! 😊(my friends aren't imaginary)
Last man on earth mode turn the game to real horror. And the thing that make it hard for you is not having a keyboard and a mouse. With a keyboard and a mouse, you can take care jackey and hunter with ease.
I watched like 30 seconds of you playing and that was enough to give me cancer. Like dude for the love of god please don't shoot witches and shove hunters 😭
ok right, so heres a good tip for you in peft 4 dead 2: spam right click. seriously, the shove mechanic is insanely powerful, especially when used strategically, and can protect you and teamates, altho the game portrays it as a simple "push them away, haha safe". granted i played nothing but left 4 dead 2 last summer when i bought so that might explain but still, very helpful in both multiplayer and singleplayer. (Also they shout JOCKEYYYEYER even in singleplayer as a sound cue, but ill shut up now)

Rule 5: dont be afraid to camp and wait for a special infected
Hoards will not spawn
*ps last man on earth is not hard ive beaten 5-7 campaigns playing it*
Not gonna lie, beating every campaign on expert in this mutation was literally hell on earth. I still have heavy rain finale flashbacks.
No More Room in Hell is pretty similar, albeit much scarier with its atmosphere and depowerment of the player.
And tbh i have massive respect for you playing last man on earth, even i cant do it XD but amazing video mate! I absolutely love it and you did a great job making this game actually feel horrifying, good work!! ❤❤❤
It’s not that he’s not playing like a god it’s that he’s playing like it’s his first video game ever. It’s like he can only process one thing at a time. Can’t reload and move can’t shoot and move it’s so baffling to me
@@shearedsheep1284 sometimes the things you find easy can be very difficult for others, l4d2 is a very crazy game sometimes and hell even i struggle at it even though i’ve played for years, just give the guy a break, if hes having fun and enjoying the game then why are you even saying this?
How can they hate such a cute activity ,watching other people learn until they're good is extremely fun and satisfying
@@duckwithachristmashaton6742 exactly! It makes me extremely happy to see people learn a game that i played a lot, its very heartwarming to see and im happy they are learning and getting better!
The only thing I’ve seen people talk about is that he shoots the witch when its not necessary, the game straight up tells you that you can avoid her so its understandable
i get jumpscared half of the time by hunters so i agree
If you have mastered the music cues before they attack, it's gonna be a breeze
Even though the solo dialogues did sound like an overstretch, it would still make sense if that would be their case lore-wise. When I was a child and that was my first time playing it, I would play upbeat songs in my laptop and simply turn on the subtitles because I'm hearing-impaired and for extra alertness because of my aforementioned condition and the song in the background. I hope my brief story gives you an idea how to remain calm.
I knew I wasn’t the only one who was scared of the box art for l4d2 when I was a kid in retrospect wish I would’ve gotten it on my 360
> Neglect shoving special infected.
> Half the time charges in without a care in the world.
> Shoots the Witch with an assault rifle.
> Ignores the hunter right next to her.
> Dies
"Why is this game so hard?"
i now have the idea of making a hardcore last man on earth playthrough now… thank you sir.
I always found this gamemode silly. Good bit of fun though.
Great video, the gameplay was questionable at times tho 😭
says: "When i tried playing, it went like THIS!"
Proceeds to show two clips shooting a Witch back to back.
Sounds like you need a buddy to play with. :mischievous:
I love last man on earth just as much as the teamplay.
It turns from an amazing shooter, to a pure horror game, where every move matters.
Would've been awesome if we had a mod that gives you a chance to escape if a special infected pins you.
This’ll definitely blow up soon, bro.
Great video tho!
finally a video essay that isnt 20-60 minutes of someone rambling on
you said you were bad at l4d2 you didnt say you were TERRIBLE
8:40 He sounds like he is about to have a mental break down
I'd have a mental breakdown too if I never utilize the shove mechanic in a mutation where shoving is the counter for most of the SI.
This is a certified Wohn classic! 😎
L4D1 captured fear with its lvls and atmosphere. L4D2 felt alot more comedic and less threatening.
The onlt thing i fear more than this mode is having you on my team with that aim
I imagine playing in this mode on hard rain 💀
Good video, but I’m genuinely curious if this is your first fps
i totally forgot about this mode now i just wanna speedrun every single campaign this way thank u
ngl you just stood there while the hunter was jumping at you
After playing all the campaigns missions, I played half of the game on last man on earth. To me the hardest part of it was the first mission, just specifically the mall, where I spent like an hour at the last part when I needed to fuel the sports car because of the tanks that periodically spawn and how you don’t get revived when downed by a tank.
I feel like slow zombie mods make it way scarier
I think it would be cool to see a mod where you start as 8+ survivors on advance/expert difficulty and you play through all of the campaigns as one campaign. The thing is there is permadeath so it would ne interesting to see how loneliness start build up with less and less people.
Underrated. Keep it up!
Ellis Retelling His Story to Kieth:
Tip: if you're gonna try this, you HAVE to use Poster-Based Color Corrections, it goes SO WELL with it.
Left 4 Dead's themes and atmosphere can be so horrifying if done right.
As a HOI4 addict who is also so bad at that game it boggles the mind of another buddy who finds it easy, this sounds like the experience for me 😎
Makes the eventual co-op experience all the more special and sweet! 😊(my friends aren't imaginary)
Last man on earth mode turn the game to real horror. And the thing that make it hard for you is not having a keyboard and a mouse. With a keyboard and a mouse, you can take care jackey and hunter with ease.
Bro tried to kill every witch lmao
You do realize avoiding the witch is an option right
Orbit at 3:40 "the first thing i noticed that it was hard"
also Orbit at 3:54 and onward, keeps startling the witch
I watched like 30 seconds of you playing and that was enough to give me cancer. Like dude for the love of god please don't shoot witches and shove hunters 😭
"Nots that will have you your back" yeah sure mate sure
agreed, if you miss shove hunter or jocket youre dead
stop aiming with your Johnson and shove and you'll probably be able to play harder modes
ok right, so heres a good tip for you in peft 4 dead 2: spam right click. seriously, the shove mechanic is insanely powerful, especially when used strategically, and can protect you and teamates, altho the game portrays it as a simple "push them away, haha safe".
granted i played nothing but left 4 dead 2 last summer when i bought so that might explain but still, very helpful in both multiplayer and singleplayer.
(Also they shout JOCKEYYYEYER even in singleplayer as a sound cue, but ill shut up now)
