Each of the cards mentioned in this video are with Visa, MasterCard or Discover which are normally accepted everywhere. As long as your landlord or leasing company allows you to pay via debit or credit card you should be able to pay your rent with either of these cards.
Great content as usual. I have a quick question about these. It sounds like extra is the best way to build more credit because it works kind of like Divvy. Is that correct? I just want to build higher limits based upon what I spend anyway. Can you clarify? Thank you and keep up the great work.

@@KelvinMcNeil It's worth a look. Especially when you have direct deposit. 3% accross the board and 2 pts/$1 and the first year I think rewards are doubled.
As a SOFI member I have found their credit card and personal loan products to be relatively difficult to qualify for. Minimum score & credit report criteria must be rather strict.....
I currently started Ava Credit Builder & Savings Builder, Kikoff Credit Builder & Self Credit Builder. Any thoughts on all 3? What else do you recommend besides the 3? Thanks in advance.
Those 3 credit builders are all installment accounts it’s slight overkill. Only need 1-2 of those. The rest should be installment accounts (cards) if you don’t already have any open.
@@KelvinMcNeil thanks for getting back to me. Is Ava Credit Builder considered as an installment card? I was planning to open a Discover IT secured card or Self secured card.
Navy Federal Credit Union requires you to have military affiliation to get a membership. Whether it be through a close relative or yourself. Similar to USAA Bank.
Do you recommend me getting a self credit builder or a extra or discover it card? My score is 705 I have 1 credit card and a auto loan and students loans which one would help me raise my credit fast?
Sorry for the late reply. Just now seeing your comment. I like all 3 but keep in mind if your scores are over 700 these aren't the cards for you. These cards mentioned in this video is for people with low credit scores. These are what we call "tier 1" cards. With scores above 700, you can go straight for a Tier 2 like the unsecured Discover IT, Capital One, Citi Bank etc. or if your scores have improved since this comment you could potentially qualify for Tier 3 cards like AMEX & Chase.
There’s only 2 ways to report a credit card: Individual, meaning you’re the primary account holder. Or Authorized User, meaning you are not the primary account holder.
Does EXTRA assign you a credit limit in order or do they use your total purchases for the month as your credit limit when they report to the Credit report agency for that month?
Your credit limit is based on your current bank balance & account activity. Spend power limits are lower for new members and increase as your bill, positive payment, history and rapport with extra.
If Varo is secured how are you spending more than you have, that defeats the purpose. I can see the Extra card not recouping funds next day but Varo is your own money... make it make sense
Simple. You have to load money onto your VARO account to use the card. If you use that money to make reckless purchases, you are in fact spending money you don’t have. Example, If you can’t afford to eat out everyday using your debit card, that doesn’t change just because you’re attempting to build credit.

@@KelvinMcNeil That still makes no sense and defeats the purpose and trust me I'm no financial novice.
