Hi there, thanks for watching. What’s YOUR biggest “take away” from this weeks video? 👨🏻✅✨

I couldn't agree more, Craig. You listened to me and replied (I'm still in shock). It was honest advice and it's what I needed. No one should do their job for free because then people assume you'll always do it and they won''t value what you do. 👍

Learning to listen is a vital life skill eh?! And no, we shouldn’t work for free…mainly for that very reason. Thanks for your kindness.

I had a new client a couple of days ago and she told me a similar story she was with another stylist for 8 years and she never listen to her and when she tried to draw what she wanted she was just laughed at... Wtf... the stylist never listen , did what she wanted and the lady wasn't brave enough to speak up. I am happy to say the lady loves her new hair and I got a big happy tearful hug, she said she wish she had found me sooner, such an emotional appointment ❤

I’ve been a professional for over 50 years and couldn’t agree with you more. Especially tip #1. Early on in my career I was consulting for a look, and when I finished I asked what she thought, she said “you gave me exactly what I wanted, but not at all what I asked for.” The magnitude of what she said just blew me away, I had really listened. Then I realized I must be doing what am suppose to be. Thank you for bringing up that memory, I haven’t thought about it for a long time. 🙏🏻

Well, I’m chuffed my content made you think of it and thank you for taking the time to share it. You are one of (right up there) the reasons I love my channel so much.
And yes, I couldn’t agree more…listening is at the centre of what we do as hair pro’s and really central to life! 👨🏼🙏🏻✨

I actually had to take a couple of months out of the "Institute", I said I have a tutor (LOL). I also am reading hair colour theory and hair books! You are my fabulous teacher/ tutor. Thank you eternally! I presumed the Institute would have a different way of teaching..but it is all on an ipad with recorded videos! Turns out Aveda has been bought out by Estee Lauder, this makes sense now! Have a beaiutiful day!!! xg@@theworldofcraig

Be interested, interesting and try to workout what other people mean. You never know how others lifes really are.
I'm amazed at how many stylists dont think about how other people see them.
Dont gossip about clients; especially when theyve just left the salon.
Be careful what you say; theyre not your friend's and dont know you as well as your friends .
Always be welcoming and start with a smile. Say thank you and that youve enjoyed the interaction.
    Great topic Craig 😊

Hi Craig.. well… every single point you make is absolutely 100% as far as I’m concerned and our work ethics just mirror🥰 I NEVER take any client for granted my mantra is I’m as good as my last job and that keeps me on my toes. We our human and we have two ears and one mouth for a reason and they need to be used in that order😃 and if there are any hiccups it’s a case of how can I make you happy and let’s work together rather then the defensive approach of you left “ happy” I always used to tell my team if ever a client reached out for any reason of unhappiness it was a chance to rectify and keep them returning instead of going elsewhere and name calling😬 again just my thoughts😊 I also like you am constantly self educating to late at night it’s just who I am and I LOVE our Fabulous industry and proud to be in one of the most self satisfying rewarding in many ways jobs on the planet.. how many peeps can say that! 🙌 thank you for this and as always your just the most ShaLaLa wonderful human to Pierrot around any salon I’m sure 🤣🪄😘X
