When you go over packaging mistakes I agree for the most part, except for the davie fogarty / Jordan welch example. The bottom middle video actually became an outlier on a small channel very recently, so I think that’s just your bias getting in the way. If smth works there’s no point in reinventing the wheel imo (been there done that not worth it).
1. What you’re saying is survivorship bias, that’s one example where it worked out of the hundreds of channels that copy that style and fail 2. Attributing that video’s outlier status to thumbnail alone isn’t fair, the dude has 500k+ on other platforms and probably pushed significant traffic to vid from the start, also is actually a good story too so to say the thumbnail carried the video is inaccurate. I look at it as “the video still performed despite having an average thumbnail.” You can’t view it in a vacuum 3. Understand that what i said in that section is a nuanced take, yes that style *can* work but I don’t agree with copying to a tee. Agree to disagree on this one
