The format of this video is great, less about competition and more about building each other’s game! We’ve all seen the utterly common razz rounds, which are good, but this is a refreshing take on a practice round. Thanks Paige, Kona, and the GK crew 😊
Ps. Can this be a regular thing?

I love how you both shared your thought process for each shot. Teaching the mental aspect and thought process are probably equally as important to the teaching of form. This has become my new blueprint for practice. Thanks for the great content.

This is SO good content. I think Page's content really has a good infortainment balance. It's clearly about sharing information and showing stuff, but it's also well produced and has that hangout-vibe. Also all respect to having one's own faults in the content, makes it much more relateable.

Subconsciously I’ve taken something from both of your games too. I didn’t even notice it happen but I changed from a stagger jump putt to stepping my back foot up to the disc like Paige. I have way better control and the same distance. I also recently have been working on my forehand upshot game and I find myself picturing Kona’s form both for timing and smoothness. Thanks to you both!

Most of my bag has discs with PP or Kona on em! Top two favorites in the sport. "Do you have a putting practice routine?" "Ummm..." That right there tells you what she needs to work on! If she had your putting she would constantly be at the top with you.

In the off season you might want to look into increasing your hamstring and quad strength. This can help with maintaining a smooth controlled form throughout your throw on shots in which accuracy more important than raw distance. Having more strength in your thighs allows you to bend your knees more which gives greater stability.

WOW, first I liked this even more than I expected to. Both of you are athletes that I have learned a lot from over the years. But when you two started talking about being on the road it caused a pang of pain. After almost 4 years on the road I'm settled down in a house and as the cold and rain settles in I find myself second guessing myself. I know for me it is the best at this point in my life but wow I sure miss being on the road. Love you guys. Have a great off season.

Wonderful stuff! It's amazing to go along for the ride following the thought process of 2 friendly "rivals" helping eachother out =).. As far "stepout hyzer around trees" I do have some insight on that from years of being off the fairway. Those throws are essentially 90% upper body and arm because your legs become so locked in place in order to give you both a legal stance and a line to throw. The 2 principles that work for me are: 1) swing through close(r) to the body to avoid the early outside treehit and 2) use a "lead pec" powerpocket to allow the arm to sling through fully without yanking the disc off line (the more modern "mid chest" or "rear pec" powerpockets are far more dependant on momentum into a good weightshift to help the swing come through at the right spot). The only video example I know right off the bat for "lead pec" powerpocket would be Dan Beto's old 2008 driving video, but I think there might be one or two "patent pending" throws by Cale Leiviska (Waco tournament?) that pretty much pull the disc in all the way to the shoulder before slinging it. Edit: Matt Orum's style can be considered "lead pec" but In my opinion he is so unique it might actually be more correct to describe his style as "lead shoulder".

A great practice round with some great players. Hope you both have an awesome tournament!
The way I like to think of poorly executed shots (no bad shots here), is I get to work on my scramble game. No point in dwelling on what's already happened, since you can't undo it. It gives you the opportunity to assess new lines, and work on shots that you don't usually practice.

You ladies are SHREDDING this course. Make it look way too easy 😂. That Leopard3 is a lethal weapon in Kona's hands. I find it more understable than the regular leopard and it's perfect for those low long wooded drives. Curious what's replacing that one in the new bag!

I'm a big Paige Pierce fan and root for you at every tournament. I recently discovered disc golf and have binge-watched every FPO tournament back through the end of 2019 (not a fan of MPO golf, too much testosterone-fueled competitiveness). I just wanted to let you know about an observation I made regarding putting results and the type of basket. I noticed baskets with chrome plated chains reject puts a lot fewer times than those with galvanized chains. Shiny chains are good; dull gray chains are bad. Keep up the great work representing women in athletics.

But, I miss 6ft putts, 7,8,9,etc.. but I can drop a 60ft Hyzer, or creative flexers.. I just wish someone could show me the Correct way To Putt!! Hey Brian, try adding more force to the bottom of the disc through your middle, ring, and pinky fingers to pop the disc up in the air flat. For me putting is less of a throw and more of a lob. If you have to, exaggerate the anny angle in your mind.
