    This is great. I can only speak for myself but I will admit that I have been so jaded by major sports athletes in this country being such overpaid, whiny, pampered babies that when I started watching disc golf I just assumed the top players were pretty much the same here. Watching this made me snap back into reality and remember how unpaved this road is, and how hard all the top players in this sport work to pave it for the next generation. I'm not saying none of them do it for selfish reasons, but I think it's pretty clear by this video and videos from many other top players in this sport that they mostly do it for the love of the game. It's what really draws me in to this world, and I know that all of this hard work is going to pay off in the future because disc golf is to cool of a sport to not catch on with the masses. Much respect to you Paige.

      I'm sure that there are other fans of disc golf out there that have seen the articles posted about Paige not following the rules of the PDGA. This would have happened on Monday, 8/23. Long story short, the police were called. You can't practice on that course until Friday, 8/26. Paige left the course before the police arrived.

    • @chesterking8198

      @@foxmulder6272 Exactly. She is out there trying to put in work, but is not allowed to because disk golf is not big enough yet to have enough of it's own courses. Instead players have to defer to ball golf and a list of other things to even put in practice rounds to improve their game and grow the sport. I'm not saying I think Paige or anyone else should be above the rules, but this just goes to my point that it's a struggle for these disc golfers to progress the game that we all love, and I have much respect for them for trying to push it forward.

    • @arr64lima63
      @arr64lima63 2 роки тому +1

      Watch Paige's documentary "Fierce" and you'll see what kind of crap disc golfers have to put up with, especially FPO. The women are made to play on multiple courses in one tournament and the men play on one. That's three courses to practice on and not enough time to practice. The manufacturers short-change the FPO players and treat them as second-class citizens. The MPO 5x world champion got a 10-MILLION-dollar contract. The FPO 5x champ got $500k. That's screwed up.

    • @chesterking8198
      @chesterking8198 2 роки тому +2

      @@arr64lima63 I agree that the gap is wider than it should be, but to be fair discraft wouldn't have the money they have to pay Paige if it wasn't for Paul most likely. I'm not a big fan of his, but there's no doubt that he has brought more eyes and revenue to the sport than almost anyone else. Paige is high on the list as well, but I think it's a pretty big gap between Paul and the rest. It's hard to say Paul is overpaid because of this, but I would definitely say that you could say Paul is overpaid before you could say that Paige is underpaid. That's just my opinion though. Either way I think it's only a matter of time before we see more of these players making six figures or more per year and that is awesome!

    • @awpgaming7505

      @@arr64lima63 if you want women to get paid the same as men then by all means join the mpo field it is open to women. Men throw farther, attract a bigger crowd and pull in more money and hands down put on a better show. What do you expect. I will agree yes they play a bunch of different courses and the people that run diskgolf are dumb as shit. But this is all facts that play here. Would you really pay someone the same amount who doesn’t pull of all that, simple answer no. Womens field yes they compete in THEIR field but they just don’t pull in the numbers so why pay more? If you wanna complain about anything, bring up why you have “men” playing in an FPO field. That right there is a disgrace to all females, totally unfair. Weather you like it or not men are the superior sex and it’s facts that has been proven all around the board in so many sports. But women complain constantly about money. But at the end of the day yes women do get screwed for rules and yes some and I do mean some are under paid but what men do be what women do in sports is a WHOLE different ball game and can’t be compared.

      You can refer to my agents recent update on the matter, "On Monday 8/22 Paige Pierce was attempting to play a practice round at Emporia Country Club to prepare for the World Championships. Paige was given a cart key and told where to get the cart by a member of the country club. When approaching the first tee Paige was told by an employee of the country club that the course was closed. When Paige asked to speak to a manager the request was denied. Paige believed this to be a miscommunication. She was then told by another employee of the country club that they were calling the police. Paige collected her things and decided to leave the course. She was not escorted from the course and was not approached by any police. This is a non issue and a misunderstanding as she was trying to practice for the World Championships only 8 days before they begin. Paige is looking forward to competing and is focused on winning her 6th World Championship."
