is it weird that i misses her and her videos. I didnt even knew her, but loves her videos and use her guide when i sewing. R.I.P Melanie. and a big hug to your familie ❤
These vids must be so comforting to the people who love her. RIP SWEET ONE. ❤️. It gave me a feeling in my stomach that she is no longer with us. God bless all the family especially her children. God love them. Thank you for leaving her videos up.
Enjoyed watching Melanie as I always did , just hurts knowing poor Melanie is no longer with us , I remember loosing her clearly , was one of the best . Great that vloggs are still being able to be watched .thank you .
Bless you and family Melanie- your legacy lives through your videos. You were my first UA-cam teacher and it’s wonderful you can still be found here. God bless x
Made four of these in honor of you today! Prayers for your sweet family! See you in heaven, pretty sure God has a never ending supply of beautiful fabrics.
2:43 I miss your face and voice and new videos. Anytime I need anything I come to your videos. 9 times out of 10 I find what I am looking for. R.I.P Melanie. 😢 Now to start my basket. I plan to add handles as this will be for collecting my chickens eggs but again, thank you and I thank you family for leaving us your videos to continue to watch. ❤❤❤
Thanks for keeping Melanie's videos on UA-cam. I'm trying to figure out a liner for my M-I-L's rollator basket and I think this will work once I get the measurements worked out!
I'm a beginner to sewing and trying tp specialize in patchwork and quilting and while searching youtube for tutorials, I found Melanie's channel ... first I watched a few videos and a few weeks later, I came back to see if there were any new ones being uploaded and that's when I realized that she has passed and it made me strangly sad, I even shed a few tears. I was somehow devasted that this beautiful human being is no longer with us. May she forever R.I.P. my deepest condolences to her family 😢
I come back and visit her videos from time to time. Her husband has kept her entire library available to us, and she wasn't only just this very lovely person, very loved and loving towards her family and community, she was also an exceptionally good instructor.
I just bought some baskets for all of my strips for quilting. Taking those back and making these cute baskets instead. Thank you for posting. Love all of your sewing videos. Super easy to follow 😊!
Such pretty baskets. My mom taught me what a difference pressing makes. But I never would have thought to press the basket corners. Excellent explanations, demonstration, and tips. Thank you
Oh Melanie!!! The best fabric box I have seen. I love it. Gonna have to make a few of these for my “stuff”. Love the flexibility of it. The quilting just adds that extra special touch. Great tutorial. Hope you are doing well. Thank You! Hugs! 💕🧵🌸
Hi Melanie -- you’ve read my mind; I was just contemplating making some fabric baskets for a new storage unit I just bought. Will be making these. Thanks a bunch!
This is a great basket and so easy! I make a more complicated one, but this is perfect for ease and result. I might master the machine sewn binding after seeing you do it, thank you Melanie. I would make your 5" squares into mug rugs!!!! Love it ❤️👏
These are great Melanie..... i keep making them... they are so useful.... thanks for the instructions.... your videos have been a lifeline in the pandemic lockdowns.... i’ve become a compulsive quilter👍
Love this! I have so many fat quarters I have no idea what to do with! I also like to use steam-a-seam 2 for machine binding, this allows for easy stitching.
Cute basket, and I love how you used fat quarters for it. I have a partial bundle to use up. For me, I would use fusible foam for the outer layer, as I prefer a little more structure. You are a very good instructor! I’m going to share this with some newbies.
Thank you so much for the videos, you are so good to explain, watching your tutorial I've done a quilt for my son, it was my first quilt and it came so beautiful, now I'm doing my second one, definitely I'm gonna do the basket now, thank you, I love your work 😊
I made the basket today and for a beginner sewing I don’t think I did too bad lol! This is the second thing I have made following you. I made the quilt first and did pretty good!
I love these! They're super cute and also so easy to make! (Well you make them look easy) This really is a great simple fabric basket. Fat Quarter Projects are also awesome because there something most anyone who sews, even a little, will have on hand. And if you don't have them on hand they're inexpensive and there is always such a fun variety to choose from. Thank you for this tutorial it's easy, fun, functional, and totally cute!
Your so cute and happy! I kept wanting to do things you make but then I think about my sewing machine with the messed up tention that's hiding on a shelf and I lose hope... Maybe one day! I also dabble in crochet but I hurt my wrist a few years ago and I can't use it for long.... Hope you're doing ok!
Just finished my fabric basket yesterday - thank you so much for the video! I am also wondering what to do with those eight square pieces. Any suggestions?
Tip: Pressing the seams open on the basket will help the lining lay better as well. Just snip the the folded end of the seam a little without cutting the stitches and you should be able to press it open.
Hi Melanie. Good to see you. I ordered from Amazon what I thought you used for interfacing. What I received is Pelion Wonder Web interfacing. Is this correct? I haven’t opened it up so I don’t know. Can you please advise? Thanks so much. Valerie
I love this! BUT I must have messed something up. I have WAY too much outside fabric. When I clip the corners and the pull to line up the sides, there is too much outside fabric... what should I do?
is it weird that i misses her and her videos. I didnt even knew her, but loves her videos and use her guide when i sewing. R.I.P Melanie. and a big hug to your familie ❤
I agree, miss her.

Tomorrow is her birthday. I still miss her and my heart cries just hearing her beautiful voice.

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. So easy to follow. R.I.P. dear Mealnie Ham.

I agree, she really is a great instructor! Some people just have a great way of explaining things. All the details you need without over explaining 😊

I’m so excited to make these!!
Great video and beautiful baskets! :-)
