The mention of Evolve fills me with the grief of a man who never got to see what his baby could become. I'll have to drop by the discord sometime and adopt a new game then
Dead by Daylight video game is also very similiar to Fury of Dracula. It has deduction (killers need to find out where the survivor's are), it has combat (chasing is a combat mechanic, survivors are not helpless when they engage in a chase with the killer), it has many different powers like Fury of Dracula.
For a while I was intrigued by DbD and considered getting into it but never did. I do prefer games where you fight the monster not just run from it. But I certainly understand the comparison! And wouldn’t be surprised if folks who like one like the other.
Those are likely old. At launch there were a LOT of bugs but currently The game has very few bugs and of those that do exist are insignificant. Don’t play this game for the ai, play for the human opponent games.
Thanks for your thoughts on the game! I've never played either of the games you compared it to and I've never really gotten into grand strategies but I love this game. I do enjoy strategy in board games but your dedication to dissecting the strategy and memorizing all of the cards is way above and beyond the scope of my playing style. That being said, I think that people can really enjoy this game even without knowing the ins and outs of it. I loved it from the first time I played it. I probably have around 10 plays over the course of 3 or 4 years so every time I play I have to refresh myself on the rules which is a bit annoying, but oh well. That number is nowhere near enough to be considered an expert on the game, but I still have a ton of fun. Since there is a bit more pressure on Dracula to follow the rules to avoid screwing something up and screwing the hunters over, I almost always play as Dracula since I'm the one who usually suggests playing and everyone else is new to the game, or has only ever played once. Like you said, when the hunters aren't playing well, the game just isn't fun for either team. That being said, when I play as Dracula I have never been able to play to my fullest strategic ability because I need to drop little clues by making an intentional bad move (go out to sea or the castle when I don't need to, take a risky route between two hunters, etc.). It keeps the new players involved and feeling like they have a chance at catching Dracula, and even though I don't get the full strategic experience, it gets my blood pumping again being on the run. It would be really nice to play with a table full of people who have a few games under their belt and have a decent strategy, especially since it's a big time commitment. Anyway, I just wanted to give people my 2 cents on the game and encourage them to pick it up. It's absolutely not for everyone, but if you are interested and have a group that is willing to commit to an evening of 2-3 hours (maybe even more to explain the rules), you really can have a great time as a beginner!
Hello Quincy , I just played this game last night and……… it didn’t go down well at all. This was the physical copy. Dracula player hated it sitting there waiting on 2 other players performing 8 actions before his action . It was long and tedious. I tried to use your tactic but the other Hunter player didn’t want to supply up and stay in the same place until Newspaper reports event card come out.It was so frustrating trying to get my point across about fast horses. It won’t get played again after that experience after me trying to convince them it’s a good game . Looks like I’m sticking to the digital version. Unfortunate 😞
This is unfortunately a VERY common experience. I actually avoid 3+ player games of Fury of Dracula for this reason. In a group of hunters you’re only as good as your worst hunter. If even one person isn’t a team player or forgets to mention they have an event card it can torpedo your chances. Which makes the game unfun for all involved. Having a bunch of hunter players also makes the game drag on and on as each person has to communicate to the other 3 what they have. Or might just not. I literally had a game where someone who wasn’t playing Mina ‘forgot’ to tell everyone he had hypnosis. Stick with the digital edition. It’s much faster and it makes managing 4 hunters way more manageable.
With the recent update basically every rules discrepancy has been fixed.

Evolve lives again! 😁
Has the AI for singleplayer gotten better here at the end of 2024?
I wouldn’t say hell no but I would say no

i have seen a bunch of negative reviews as far as bugs and bad ai... do you agree?

That’s part of the reason I like the digital edition so much as it really helps fix the two biggest “problems”
1. Obtuse rules
2. Long playtime
@@Quincy_Morris agree on these points for sure
Can you play it solo?
You can but I don’t suggest it. Try the discord to find opponents.
Yes....i learned by playing Dracula first

I don’t think digital edition has a Spanish version.

I wish these Nomad guys would do digital Letters From Whitechapel
i paid for it.....thinking the devs would continue to improve it and the UI. Too late for a refund.
They have been continuing to improve and update it. In fact many of the complains I state in this video have since been fixed.
