The brief acapella Thunderbird intro would be something I think Gerry Anderson would be proud of. Goddamn 2004 was twenty years ago and I miss it so much...
This was the first ever song I heard from Busted when I went to see the Thunderbirds movie back in 2004 and they did it for the film but at the time I didn't know it was Busted until the Thunderbirds movie came out on DVD then at some point I found out the sun was by Busted and never got to solve them live unti night driver tour
People need to understand Charlie has not left due to songs like this. He has left because songs like this could have been amazing pop-punk bangers but the record labels turned them into some low gain guitar pop rock for kids. The whole Pigs Can Fly tour has amazing sound and sounds exactly how Busted should have sounded in the first place.
I love how high energy busted's songs were. 80s, 90s and early 00s will never be beaten. Now a days its all about rap and shit. Miss when people had talent
They’re rereleasing a bunch of old songs in 2.0 fashion. They’re going to be doing thunderbirds with Mcfly. They’ve just rereleased Loser Kid 2.0 with simple plan!
Irony, they play this live so well but it's songs like this that forced Charlie's hand in the first place and he quit the band. Still, a great version. Brings back memories of the film when i was a kid.
If late at night, I happen to be watching the Original series, I cannot help but listen to this very song and this particular version of the song straight afterwards before I call it a day. F.A.B to this very Day.
Why did James sing Charlie’s verse?! Bro wtf! He sounded amazing but Charlie’s bit is my favorite part of the song. One of my favorite Busted songs, this was a cool performance.
Watching this performance back to back with McBusted’s. While McBusted’s was more faithful to the original recording, I fully appreciate this more rock version just as much. Maybe if they added the orchestra and synths next time it would sound more complete. Charlie sounds like he wants nothing to do with this song though. Lol
Charlie never looks like he wants anything to do with anything, even his own solo stuff and fightstar’s biggest numbers, think it’s just his “I’m performing” face
Jehu Calderon I think the band as a whole said once that they're not that keen on Thunderbirds. From what I understand it was a commission job for that Thunderbirds live-action film and they basically just did it for the money and exposure. Fair enough, you gotta pay the bills and it was good exposure/marketing for the band at the time but yeah it's totally understandable if it doesn't mean as much to them as the old Busted material or Night Driver & Half Way There.
@@Spermwhales93 I recall seeing a thing where James said something about it to the others, by saying it’s good because it’s quite a well known franchise, but it definitely was a one time gig, I can’t recall what Charlie or Matt thought, but definitely thunderbirds is more of a younger audience? From memory, like at most 5-15, without putting an age on it, because I think you can like whatever at whatever age it just depends on the content and how it’s conveyed. I once watched a movie based off a Japanese novel, that also got a sudo-sequel as a video game, I played the game first then saw the movie, and whilst the movie I think is actually rated 7+? (Uk) the game was 12+ and I admit, I got emotional at the end of the game (at the time I was like 12-14) and the ending of the film did bring a few tears to my eyes. So no disrespect to anyone, I just haven’t seen thunderbirds since I was a kid 😂 like the majority of people I imagine. And on the subject of busted? It probably didn’t help with their image at the time. (out of interest, the movie was called brave story, the game was brave story : new traveller)
Hey @@charlotted1321 we're a new up-and-coming American rock band called False Tension we'll soon be releasing our first single called "Marty's Future" (which is about the movie Back To The Future) and hopefully release our first album
The fact that this song was played live in 2016 and people remembered what it stood for and still do is amazing
Let’s face it those girls were there to see the guys singing not the songs
F.A.B.
More than a decade on, and age has not laid a finger on this song, or the Children's gem, which it represents.
The brief acapella Thunderbird intro would be something I think Gerry Anderson would be proud of. Goddamn 2004 was twenty years ago and I miss it so much...
Best version ever by far

Jack Beaven-Duggan Crazy story! Glad you finally got to see them. One of my favorite bands ever. Still not sure if I love them more than McFly 😂.
Thanks man. I like busted then mcfly and my favourite band too

Yees just my thoughts. I like this live edition way more!
You're using logic... Logic beats drama, people lose interest if you don't give them the drama
Personally, I love the original version. I think the violin strings are a great addition to the track & it definitely has a pop punk feel to it.
I still remember listening to this for the first time on Pop Jr.
That album was lit, still have it. But being a HUGE thunderbirds fan, I obviously heard it as soon as it came out
I am the same
Great opening song for our hockey team the Springfield Thunderbirds
My childhood thanks busted for making my childhood alive
What else can you say except... F.A.B.?
I love the bit at @2:22 when Charlie goes for it in the middle 8
The low harmony properly tickles my brain!
Thunderbirds are gooooooooooo
最高!(from Japan)

This is my favourite song ever!
Still a bop all these years later

That makes two of us.
Yep, that makes 3 of us, despite being a musician i hate rap and new pop, will never forget the good old days of busted, green day, Killers ect
That makes 4 of us
Who else would pay to have them re release this song? Since they sound older but still sound amazing
They’re rereleasing a bunch of old songs in 2.0 fashion. They’re going to be doing thunderbirds with Mcfly. They’ve just rereleased Loser Kid 2.0 with simple plan!
Just so fucking good. Harmonies on point and Cobus killing it on the drums
Anyone else back here for the 2023 reunion

I wanted to give the movie a 1/10, but the Busted song ended up causing me to raise it to a 2/10. The song is a 10/10 btw
yeziirrr
Ba, da da daaa.

Still F.A.B in 2023
Fucking goosebumps
Cobus!
Who else is here in December 2022?
Great song, the movies plot line was okay Brains Jnr was class, missed opportunity.
WHY IS NO ONE COMMENTING ABOUT COBUS 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️
Cobus killed it as usual
The film was terrible but this song is a banger!
Is it wrong that I completely prefer McBusted to this recent reunion? Sound was much more full with Mcfly.
Damian Labrie yeah you’re completely fucking wrong there.
James McKay Quack Quack.
I get what you mean but I think all 3 are great in different ways. Personally I can't rank them.
I think there was more fun and fullness with mcbusted, busted seems a bit forced especially with Charlie weirdness

Well that’s your opinion I think it’s awesome and a great franchise!
