How I rate Busted’s singing Charlie- Too good for pop James- meh Matt (circa 2000s)-pretentious (trying to sound like Jaret Reddick) Matt (circa now-better?)
Charlie - 8/10 (Very impressive voice and range, but used best in big ass rock songs rather than acoustic performances like this, his voice blends with Matt's very well). James - 5/10 (Great writer and entertainer, but vocals just lack for an arena band like Busted). Matt - 9/10 (Although don't get to really hear that in this performance, McBusted was where his vocals really shone through. Circa 2000's though, his voice sucked).
Marc Skinner he had to miss them out the words he left out were ‘ smoking hand rolled cigarettes.’ Which as it was at an event aimed at children he couldn’t sing that line
They're not so good at covers anymore, I think Brown Eyed Girl was their best. They should stick to pop rock. Maybe go pop punk... a cover of one of Blink's songs, Forever the Sickest Kids or All Time Low. Even better, a song by Son of Dork, although I guess it's not relevant to today's music, which is the problem. And no one can even go near Ed Sheeran when its covering one of his songs.
On their newest album, they basically covered a Son of Dork song that James wrote for the band ages ago. It's probably one of the best on the album too
