Just watched this movie again for the first time in years and it still is an absolute classic. Growing up in primary school pretending to be the thunderbirds running around like lunatics. Precious memories
Classic? It's a smoking pile of manure! As a dyed in the wool Tbirds fan from the original I took my kids to see it,oh dear. How did Ben Kinsly sign up to it? It could have been so good but they ruined it, bring back the strings. Gerry and his team did more for the specail effects industry than you can know. Best thing about the film was the Bustard track.
"It always looks so cool when spaceships come out of the pool" is one of my favourite lines of any song. It's not poetic, deep or clever, it's just very real lol. I was never a fan of theirs but I loved this song. And I remember loving Matt's wink.
William Bill Paxton RIP highly doubt that a live action Thunderbirds film 2 will ever be done unless someone else can fill Bill's shoes as Jeffrey Jeff Tracey. The multi-billionaire ex astronaut
callum Churchett I actually liked the film when I was 15-and-a-half years old because it inspired me to remember the first rule of any emergency which is to keep calm and not panic.
+George Atkinson yeah, he wrote the soundtrack to the Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean. The list goes on and on... I'm referring mostly to films with actual songs in them from very recently
+Ruby Price (Ruubez) erm there's more than just lion king to Hans... Lord of the rings, inception, dark knight trilogy and interstellar are better examples of his amazing work, and don't get me wrong busted are great but Hans work shits all over this.
I'm glad to know that no matter what happens, no matter how much things change in our lives, we agree this song is still the best part of the Thunderbirds and that's saying a lot.
The British actors in the film were good, and the ones playing Alan, Fermat and Tintin weren't bad either, but I've no idea what they were thinking putting Bill Paxton in it!
snoopatomicdog I hardly listened to them when I was younger because I would've only been 5 or 6 when they were popular. I started listening to them when I was 16 and by then I understood what their songs were actually about

Even though I was very young at the time, I thought it was very fitting that the movie adaptation of a classic British tv programme theme should be performed by the best British artist at the time.... and boy did they make the right choice with Busted! Absolutely love this song!!!

I must admit, watching this in December 2016, that I remember watching the 2004 movie that went with this song. And that tells me one thing: Thunderbirds died too young, it still has so much potential, and I was only six when it was released in 2004. And I'm 18 now, God how long they have left it! Thunderbirds live on...
When this was out many moons ago, I always managed to tune in on the radio or put a music channel on just when it was nearly finished. Every god damn time!
22year old fan of busted and it all thanks to this song from thunderbirds 2004 movie! Seeing busted tomorrow can’t wait and especially with this song coming into the set I so can’t wait!!!!!!

One of my favourite movies when I was a kid, mostly because of Busted but it was also very inspirational to see a family coming together, and all risking their own lives in order to save strangers, what a beautiful concept.
Love this song ,love Busted , they were slated back in the day but at least their music was fun and each one individually is a brilliant musician and songwriter 👍
I grew up watching the original (no Im not old, just reruns in the 90s), when I saw the film in 2004 I was litrally cutting my wrists in the cinema. Basically I left after about 30 minutes to have my childhood ruined.
This was the song that first made me get into Busted as well as the movie itself during my childhood. Since then, I got into their fellow band friend Mcfly and when James and Matt joined them as McBusted, that's how I rediscovered Busted (and was thrilled for this song to be played in their show). Quite right too

Medieaval Beabe thats the guy that plays jeff right?
Right.
Busted made it clear that not every song has to be about love and sex to be successful and that's why I like them :)
exactly!
Huh. I wonder why every other rock / grunge band does the same thing too.
i currently am hahaha
snoopatomicdog I hardly listened to them when I was younger because I would've only been 5 or 6 when they were popular. I started listening to them when I was 16 and by then I understood what their songs were actually about
To be fair, a good majority of their songs are about sex/ love. Don't get me wrong they're like my favourite band but still😂
They played this live when I saw them on the reunion tour - good god, the energy, the nostalgia, it was amazing

You know when you find a song from your childhood and it's disappointing and not as good as you remember. This isn't one of those songs.
Finn Sedgwick Me too, me and my friends listened to it all the time.
+Lewis North The two things I liked about the movie: The production design and this song. The rest was torpedoed by the need to emulate Spy Kids.
I don't want to rematch the movie. Since I've grown up and are far more cynical than I was, I fear that I'd ruin my fond memories of this film.
+dashnog Yeah me too, it's probably a really bad movie, I don't mind the song though

We could have had a plot where He targets Alan's school whilst causing disasters around the world simultaneously with trying to takeover the Island
With Jeff and 2 of the sons trying to rescue Alan; Tin-Tin and Fermat plus all their friends Inc. Alan's bully from the first scene
Here, Alan proves himself to Jeff and his brothers by staying calm and actively helping his erstwhile bully
As this occurs, simultaneous attacks around the world lead the other 2 Tracy brothers to identifying who Hood is; and they rush back to the Island to alert Jeff and family only to find Hood control of Thunderbird 5 and by extension the Island
A game of cat and mouse ensues aboard Thunderbird 5 with John Tracy and the 2 brothers who found out trying to outsmart Hood to take back the Island
Jeff and the other 2 rescue Alan, TinTin and Fermat and their kids, they reunite with the other 2 brothers and then Jeff and the 4 brothers start planning- Fermat figures out a way to make contact with his father Brains without Hood finding out
They work together to infiltrate and retake both the Island and thunderbird 5
Hood launches his missile at TB5 injuring John like in the original cut..the thunderbird is falling towards London/some other capital and will kill millions
John decides to Self detonate; Jeff goes to get TB3 to save John but is attacked by Hood and minions
Wounded, he thinks John's dead as none of the others has that much experience with piloting TB3 - Alan revealed he's secretly been joyriding TB 3 for years which Grandma Tracy knew about - comedic argument between Jeff and Grandma ensues; ultimately Alan flies Brains up to TB3 and they fix it but Hood escapes...
1 month later he tries to rob the bank to get money to get plastic surgery, the Tracy's confront him in the bank vault
He reveals Jeff left him behind at a previous accident years ago. Jeff reveals he didn't even know Hood was there; Hood refuses this and reveals he caused the accident that killed Lucille Tracy, Jeff's wife and the boys' mother in retaliation for Jeff's leaving him behind
Enraged the final fight begins, as in the original cut Alan chooses to save Hood from Death rather than seek revenge
The Tracy's are proud... Hood goes to prison- the Tracy's go home and Jeff presents Alan with his own IR hat and the passkey to TB3
We get a danger call, and the classical countdown begins (voice over from the late Peter Dynley whi voiced the original Jeff Tracy In the puppet show)
