- Hey guys! Over the few years making videos I've had a lot of awesome people subscribe and support me over the long haul. I especially thank the first subscribers who started watching my video wayyyy back in the day haha. I used to do a bunch of these random videos and I always try to each year here and there. I know a bunch of people on youtube like to watch the cold start videos and since my channel has something for everyone, here you go! This is part 2 of 6 cold start videos I will be uploading today! So enjoy, like I said, I always have something for everyone :) Thanks everyone!
Its a great car, had it for 10 years so far. Its starts in even below freezing temps. I have the 4.2 Liter Inline-6
My Envoy always starts like a champ in the winter, I love in Ohio and My Envoy is a 2003 and ive never had a problem! My door sticks close though in the winter like yours did.
Just a winter tip for the future, if you know there's a snow or frost headed to your town, one way to stop the doors from freezing is spraying the rubber bits and the edges with cooking oil. Sounds strange but I tried it on my dad's Mazda Protege in December and it actually worked XD
These cars are pretty underrated in my opinion.
Its good to see more cold starts. Wish you could more dealership start ups like you used to.

My dad use to have a 2004 model, with the 4.2L Inline-6, I loved it! But he sold it because it had so many problems, after having it lowered, and after a hard hit car accident just 2 days after he bought it! But another thing I hate about it, is the handbrakes, That really messed up the interior of the vehicle, I actually don't like hand brakes at all, I would choose the dodge Durango over this!
And trying to open that door is why I'm glad the 'cup handle' design is gone.
I own a 03 Envoy (bout the same color) this hits home for me :)

It means that the temperature is low enough outside for ice to form on roads and such

"Ice possible." Heh. Just like in the new Lamborghini Aventador- when you turn off ESC and go into Race mode (Corsa), you get a little message that says "Thrust mode possible."
Do you use fully syntetic engine oil's for your vehicles ????
Mine did not come with a rear resonator and is also an 03 5.3 XL
Nice Truck i have the 2006 GMC Envoy XL im wanting to do a v8 swap eventually now i was wondering if i can use the same transmission since GM uses the 4l60e in the GMC Envoy The Chevy Trailblazer The GMC Sierra The Chevy Silverado The Chevy Avalanche The GMC Yukon The Chevy Tahoe GM also uses the 4l60e transmission in the Chevy 2500's i hear it the come with the tow package they are decent my GMC Envoy is 4 wheel drive and has the tow package im looking for a trailer but don't know what size trailer to go with im thinking 10ft Utility Trailer anything else i need to carry i can put inside i Have 7ft from the back of my seat to the tailgate with the 2nd and 3rd row seats down we usually leave the 2nd row up 3rd row down and have a lot of space

christian lewis Yep. Comes 5.3V8 and 4.2I6. I have a 4.2I6 and it’s really reliable.
how much is this one, in our currency $1 = K5.3?
My friends mom has this exact one but hers is maroon
didnt they discontinue the Envoy XL & XUV in 2008 and the Envoy in 2010

That's a bit of a dumb move pulling on that handel when the door is frozen shut,, you can break the handel and add to your repair headaches. Up here in Canada where temps drop to 30 Best is to pour some window wash fluid all around the door rubbers this will quickly thaw the rubbers out and free the door you can also trace around the rubbers using a credit card to separate the rubber where it meets the mettle. ;-)
