You all keep criticizing that nothing has changed on it, but you need to realize that it is a standard CARGO van that has been customized by the Explorer Van custom company not GM. Next, you need to realize that the people who buy these vans are older, family-oriented, people who want to be able to travel comfortably across the US like me. I didn't buy it to drive it to work, and I definitely didn't want to drive a minivan 2000+ miles to California. You can get a custom paint and interior color and trim. Yall these are running for the same price of a 2020 premier Yukon xl. but look at everything you are getting with this conversion van.
I just bought a 2008 Chevy Explorer conversion van, with 155 inch wheelbase. With a 4L80E transmission and 6 liter engine, mounted on the 2500 truck frame and including a Detroit-locker in the rear-end, it is one tough vehicle. It only had 42,000 miles on it, and was in very good condition inside and out. I paid 24K for it, much less than a very similar new one. The one thing I have to say about it is the recommendation that full pressure be maintained in the tires, regardless of the actual load being carried. When I have one or two people in the van including myself, the appropriate tire pressure for the axle weight should be 45 psi, but I get a tire pressure warning light on the DIC when the pressure is below 75 psi. I drove the van with both pressures, and the 75 psi is ridiculously hard, and causes me to constantly move the steering wheel at highway speeds to go in a straight line, and feels a bit unstable. That can be dangerous. Using 45 psi works MUCH BETTER, and the ride is like butter, and a straight line on the road is very easy. Tire pressure should be based on axle weight actually being carried. Michelin has a tire pressure load chart on-line, and I recommend you download it, print it, and keep a copy in the van. Unless you inflate to the proper pressure for your axle weights, you will miss the luxurious ride quality this van can give.
I bought this exact style van a year ago. We love love love it. Zero problems and we take it everywhere, camping, shopping in Canada, and out on the beach. If you have the coin its worth it. Just bought a 2021 escalade esv premium. Kind of jealous if that's even possible. Man that truck looks incredibly comfortable compared to my stiff and unforgiving escalade. Lord am I seriously lusting over a van when I have the latest escalade. Yeah I can't stand these uncomfortable seats. That looks like an honestly nicer truck to have a road trip in.
Dude I'm 45 years old and my great Auntie's boyfriend (He was around so long, he shoulda been my uncle) had the van exactly how you just described & I LOVED riding in that SOM BITCH. I looked forward to the trip from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Baton Rouge, Louisiana every summer to see Uncle John C and ride in his van! SO SO SO COMFORTABLE! So much love, those were the GOOD TIMES (Pun Intended). I wouldn't ever mind being the Owner/ Driver of something like this because I want ppl to experience the same pleasure, comfort, and joy that my Uncle provided for me and my family! I LOVE IT! @@29namnori exactly! They used to be pretty popular...Dodge RAM actually started out with a version, Ford and Chevy had versions too. Hella 70s 80s interiors with red plush velvet and curtains all around, some even had ladders on the back so you could go up on top for star gazing. They weren't too many peoples daily drivers, but they were way more common when you and I were kids. I was thinking this new van here was about to resurrect that, but it's just a limo van. :/
When it comes to these types of vans, we have to take into consideration what their purpose is. They're not designed to be race cars or hugging curves ect...They're luxury vehicles. Speed and acceleration ( that is, quick speed from 0-60 in 3 seconds) is NOT the intended purpose. If your'e into road trips and want luxury to do it, these are the vehicles you want short of RV's.

Had a 2005 exact same color but did not have the chassis stretch in it. Best travel vehicle with small kids there is. Invest in a small Coleman 12 volt cooler as it is well worth it with kids mine was 48 quart. Don't let them eat or drink for the first 2 hours on the road, as you are best off stopping every 4 hours for the bathroom and a fill up. This has to be one of the most comfortable over the road travel vehicles ever made. Mine had the 5.3 in it and best gas mileage was 16 on the highway with cruise set at 60, but you don't buy something like this for mileage it's a pure comfort machine. Let your kids bring their blankets & pillows they will recline the seats a little and sleep very easily.

In love with this van I would love nothing more putting my family in this & hitting the open road
I owned a Savana 2000 loved it was like being home. It came with TV vcr Combo / I put in the DVD player.
Wow that rear sunroof and tv is dope!
Few new upgrades but everything else looking original to the 2000 model! Step it up GMC.
Not everything the price sure is more expensive

lol youre crazy this van looks amazing
@@hugeCRSfan69 he didn't say it's ugly or it's not amazing , his just saying that it's outdated !! Which is a facts , I personally like the classic exterior design , but the interior needs an update for god sake !! It's not going to do good compare to the modern vans on the market , if they put the same new design & technology of the Sierra aka Yukon 2022 on this one the driver side will look sick , the back they need to upgrade that TV to an 8k version , puts ambiance lighting , make the seats with massaging & heated and ventilated ...... !! And make a VIP version with only 4 seats at the back like the custom made Mercedes V class VIP , that will be perfect 👌
Just found your channel. Great straightforward and "to the point" reviews. Also, your manner of speaking/communication style is very different and very cool and enjoyable for listening! 👍😎👍
I need a kitchenette, bed and bathroom like the 70s, 80s versions..
I wish Vans like these were more popular.
This is a really good review man. Nicely done, now, I just need to win the lottery to afford it.
hahaha same case with me 😜😜

Piece of cake I’m a retired truck, driver owner operator 30 years
This bad boy is nice!! One day I will own one of these
I LIKE THE LOOKS.....I DID NOT KNOW VANS WERE STILL GETTING FIXED LIKE THIS. TKS.
I would like to have this for my family. I love it ❤️
My basketball coach had one of these when I was 10 and use to pick me up for practice and basketball games and ever since then I wanted one
Dude I am totally blind and typing with a screen reader! I love the sound of this van! I have yet to ride in one!
you should try driving one!
@@LemurJackson The Salt Marshes would be a good place. Hope he can drive a car : (
Low-key on the outside but 🔥🔥🔥 on the inside. I want one!!
I still want one of these.
I haven't seen such grand car in my lifetime.
Appreciate the detail in your reviews. “kinda bouncy like a bus, mindful of height…” Looks like could be a motion sick ride for some.
Good job👍
Thanks for the great review! I’ve been waiting for someone to do a POV with one of these explorer vans to get a feel for how it rides!
Approved in form!! The van is impressive👍👍👍✌️✌️
Wow a bunch of chairs...I was honestly expecting a countertop, sink, velvet bed and some draperies.
They’re family road trip vehicles not houses
I LOVE IT! ROAD TRIP,,,,,,,,HELL YEAH! ✌🏾❤👊🏾✊🏾💯
Check out Roadtrek Class B
@@29namnori exactly! They used to be pretty popular...Dodge RAM actually started out with a version, Ford and Chevy had versions too. Hella 70s 80s interiors with red plush velvet and curtains all around, some even had ladders on the back so you could go up on top for star gazing. They weren't too many peoples daily drivers, but they were way more common when you and I were kids. I was thinking this new van here was about to resurrect that, but it's just a limo van. :/
That was a very good review !!!. A description of how the car is driving, how it is feeling.. and working.
I miss my 2000 GMC Savana 1500 high top conversion.
This is my favorite van! Awesome job bro.
Omg thats my baby upgraded.. I have and 2001. You will enjoy it...
Love it!! - I want it now. These tanks are made to LAST. My father had one that had more than 400k miles on it. Thanks for the video!
my friend works for fedex and they use these vans there, he told me some of them have over 500K miles on them and are still running strong with all original stuff original engine tranny etc
I want one so bad too! I've been stalking a 2007 GMC in my area. Its still super nice and such a nice ride! Love them!
I have a 2000 astro van I bought back in October 2018, the best $1700 bucks I’ve spent on any car I’ve owned, these vans were built as tough as nails
Dope ass van but a bit dated interior, I'd still rock one of these
i DEFINITELY wouldn’t mind taking a nice, long road trip in one of these.
All I need to have me a nice spot DOWN BY THE RIVER! 😉🤣
Love the color on this one!!!! We are getting ready to visit a dealer to buy one!!!!
Did u get it?
I won't let you shut doors on any of my cars like that buddy..
😅
oh yeah?? what are YOU gonna do about it
@@TNAWWE I said it, dummy! Not let this guy close any of my doors, house, plane, boat, cars etc...it's this more CLEAR to your stupid question????I'm glad I can help another lost soul out there.
@@robertoesparza3498 roberto, you idiot illegal. i meant what are YOU gonna about it, if he does slam your doors like that?
😂😂😂😂😂
Идеальный автомобиль. У нас в семье была "Женева". Качество и надёжность на самом высоком уровне.
Damn this thing is super old school. Kinda cool. I'd rather have a row of seats deleted and a lil mini kitchen or a fridge at least. That ice chest doesn't cut it.
That GMC Van is nice I've been watching that video about that Van it's so nice I would like to own one soon
When something old stays new🥱😴
Great video and test drive. I’m in no way in the market for one of these, just love them
Same. 😂😂
I didnt know they still made vans, its 2020 approved, you can sit 6 ft apart.

Bruh when I looked at the year “2020” on the title of the video I was like 🤨🤔🤪🤓🤩🧐
Aye rockin bro remember that they keep the same van design for years... but I feel where you coming from...🤣
Still the same fam......
Isn’t 2020 it meant just like 2001’s retro hello..!! Lolx hahah
It's a beauty, I would love to convert into a camper!
Get a Roadtrek Class B, they are like this camping style.
Glad to see that they are still making these. I need one.
Basically a limo that’s a van. 👍🏿
That gmc explorer is looking sick.i like gmc explorer's👍
This van is full of luxury
GMC Pride of American Industry
Wonderful review. Very helpful. Love this.
I love those vans they where real popular here in the south
Man I want one i would love to go travel with it
You know how to save approx. 100k ? Just buy a 2010 Explorer and they look the same. Great conversion trucks I owned two. Ill be buying another used one again. I miss it.
Exactly! These designs go back to about 2003! But even the old conversion vans are too pricey... I'm looking at an 04 with a 118K miles for $13k!
@@jmoore4156 Nice. I actually went and bought a vintage 1989 Chevy G30 . A rare Vanguard conversion.
Oh my
Idk what it is... I love these always have.
Been looking for these vans and seeing the prices damn I love it
