I strongly believe AC4 is the single best entry point into the series. Mainly because the game isn't about assassins, but about Edward. Edward learns about the assassins, and if you've never played AC before it will immediately become obvious whether or not you will like playing the rest of the series. Option A, you play the game and learn about the Assassins, you think it's a cool end to Edward's story but don't really care more to learn about this secret order and this war of assassins vs templars. Option B, you WANT to learn more. Well then good news, there's a whole 5 games before this one, and many that came after. I may be biased though, because this is how I got into the series. I liked pirates, I liked stealth. AC4 was perfect, but it left me with so many questions about the brotherhood. And then the series changed my life.
I actually think AC4 is more about the Creed itself than some of the games before it. AC1 and AC4 are one of the few games that fixate on the creed by which the brotherhood operates instead of just the brotherhood itself. Not saying the others are flawed for not focusing on that tho
@@aeschylus7641 Exactly, most people who call it a pirate game are clueless. This game is definetly a masterpiece of an AC game aswell as a pirate game.
I started with AC 1 when I was a kid thanks to my brother. It was the only AC that existed back then. Then I kept watching the trailers of the next games throughout the years & kept getting hyped. Great times.
You just described the 360 era in a nutshell. Same boat even. Older brother had 360. We both would swap between our saves and I remember when 2 came out thinking it was the most insane jump in quality ever…even after goofing around in ac 1 and not thinking it would get better. And those cinematic trailers. Still rewatch that revelations one. 2 will always be the OG in my book. As for the new generation, I’d say origins is pretty damn great and not a bad place to start either. Most underrated probable unity
AC1 and AC bloodlines was an experience nobody made at the time. Then AC Revelations dropped with the craziest story. The Franchise lost credibility only because they wanted every game to be an entry point, which it could've never been - same as Prince of Persia. Should've stayed true to it's core.
My first was Unity. It was my dream game (cuz of all the cool trailers). And since I bought it wayyy later from its release, I've had a relatively clean experience. But discovering the AC online community has opened my eyes to the possibilities. Currently playing AC2 and I'm having a blast!
For stealth I would recommend syndicate because it’s easily the best stealth system in the game and there’s no buggy movement and stickiness like in unity
Started with AC3 and have played all the games and DLC since. Never touched the stuff that came out before (even though it's revered as the best). This series got me into gaming, and even though Ubisoft does some cringe things in every subsequent release, the core of the games is still what I know and love, and I will keep coming back for more. Update: I played AC1 and the Ezio Trilogy. While it was frustrating to go back to the less refined animation set, I had a lot more pleasure in actually having the freedom to make my Altair and Ezio do what I wanted them to do. After getting used to the mechanics the only thing that would make these games better is an AC Unity style parkour descend. The stories are what really kept me engaged and wanting to play through some of the early game "jank". And boy were those stories something. I was one of the few people that at the time of Unity's launch actually really loved Arno, and I remember at the time everyone called him a whinny Ezio wannabe . . . I can see it now, but still I love Arno. Altair was a blank slate for the most part, but I think it really worked for his story since he had to start back at square one. I feel like the RPG creeds do this thing where the entire game is the saga of that characters life, essentially packing the Ezio Trilogy into one game. And I think that's why they suffer. Having three games, with their own unique minigames and tools relevant to the time, really made me feel like I was growing with Ezio, and not just getting enough skill points to unlock my next ability. Of course I do still enjoy the RPG Creeds, but in terms of story they don't even come close to the original 4 games (maybe Origins). If you've never played Assassin's Creed then I recommend starting from the very beginning and enjoying the lore unravel as you and the characters uncover its secrets. I think if you start with one of the later games it will be very difficult for you to make your way back to the original 4 games that made this franchise what it is. If you just can't stand the mechanics then I'd say start with AC3 or Black Flag. If you really love stealth play Unity, and if you want to customize your character's loadout to the last detail play Odyssey. For any newcomers to AC it is not necessary to play these games in order, except the first 4, you can really just drop in wherever you like and what time period you like the most. One thing about AC is they ALWAYS nail the environment and visual design, so it's always a treat to visit a historically accurate location. They also do this in the Watch Dogs series if you enjoy virtual tourism.
@@KrisKelso1810 haha yeah I know, at this point I'm hoping they remake the Ezio trilogy after AC1 remake. They probably will at some point for AC Infinity (if that's still a thing?). But I'll probably play it before then to get the OG experience.
@@lightTheImpdude no the remake is going to change game mechanics I guarantee! Play the ezio collection on modern consoles! And please play 1! It’s my favourite game of ALL TIME!!!
@@lightTheImp lol you don’t have to of course but my friend is playing through them for the first time starting at 1 and he’s midway through 3 now and he said he liked the older better SO FAR 😂
@@bloodysking yea and the combat is great, map is great, story is better than origins. what do you mean by it's shit? origins is also good but unity is just better
@@nakkipate1953 story is great??? game is full of bugs, the protagonist is a simp throughout the whole story, forgettable villain, combat is kinda slow and boring, stealth is good but full of problems, sometimes enemies will detect you out of nowhere, also the game has a problem understanding that I want to do a double kill, sometimes the smoke bomb also won’t go off. Origins is a much better game with a beautiful world, better story (not that much better), with an incredible protagonist, the rpg combat is better than unity’s tbh, although the stealth is terrible.
You gotta start with Ac1 in my opinion , you really dont appreciate all the innovations done in the franchise without starting there in my opinion. Just like JoJo's bizzare adventures, out here people saying that phantom blood should be skipped.......but that shit gives context to EVERYTHING ! you cant appreciate the better seasons like battle tendency and stardust crusaders without phantom blood. and its actually good for a 1st entry and you can how the series evolves from it , same for AC1 , play AC1 , also because Altair is awesome, just like Jonathan Joestar.
@@Tchado1000 Close, but this is the inverse situation. Movement was paired back from AC1 when vaulting was fully removed. Level design was simplified into linear parkour corridors and stealth arenas built around one mechanic at a time. Stealth became about being near civilians and spamming overpowered tools rather than acting like a civilian. Combat lost the majorly unique tradeoffs provided by the weapon sandbox (the only reason I didn't put it for action is because the stealth arenas are so heavily frontloaded). The structure no longer had meaningful investigations with intel about particular details of the assassination.. The narrative reduced the epistemology exercises down to a minimum. Even your assassination moveset more closely resembled a superhero than an Assassin. Everything that made Assassin's Creed what it is comes from AC1, that's why you should play it rather than these watered down versions that more closely resemble other, better games that could provide you the experience that makes them unique instead
4 and Rogue I find have the best stealth because darts, bushes/closets/corners, whistling, and I can clearly distinguish the detection meter. Unity could have had superior stealth but it’s just really broken.
@@Tchado1000I think it would be better to watch all the cutscenes than to actually play it. The repetitive mission structure really turned me off and that was after I played the other ones (except Odyssey) to fill in the gaps.
I started off with odyssey since a friend told me to play this one first. I loved it if I’m being honest. shortly after finishing that I went to origins(never finished the story). after like 6 months of not playing AC, I went and purchased the ezio collection( beautiful story ), and I just finished AC3.
I started with Black Flag because the Pirate theme caught my attention. Then I played AC3 remastered because I’m from Boston, and I thought that would be really cool exploring Colonial American. After that I went with Origins and Odyssey because Egypt and Greese looked amazing!!
id known about assasins creed for a while but honestly your channels helped me get into the franchise didnt have a yt account back then but now that i do i must say your an absolutely fantastic youtuber and all the luck to you
Growing up with these games, I gotta say just play it in the order they released. The first game is a bit of a slog, but it's worth it for the Desmond Miles plot.
My favourite is revelations...that ending is just pure gold Arthur morgan dies...feel hollow but didn't cry Aunt may dies..feel sad but didn't cry Ezio talking to Desmond...cried for 10 mins straight
Arthur’s loved ones die one after the other, his horse is dead, his best friend and almost brother escaped but might have still died and he gets killed by his adoptive father, but somehow Ezio randomly talking to a guy in the future and giving a random speech with absolutely no sad details in it makes you cry
@@whitezombie10 Look what makes you cry makes you cry, theirs no proper explanation but here are some reasons why it did. Altair, who devoted his whole life to the assassin's literally locked himself alive in a library just to send a messege to the future. Ezio finally realising this whole war is pointless and finally resting his sword while also realizing his whole life's point was being a messenger to the future. this is why he didn't take the apple. and then that whole speech, every single sentence of that speech is so good. also the music in that whole scene is just great. the whole first civilization collapse with that mother and child dying is so good. you might think all of this is bad or mediocre and thats fine. but nothing gave me that same feeling as that scene.
Just recently got the platinum in AC2, brotherhood, revelations and Mirage. Already got the platinum for Odyssey and Valhalla (not dlcs yet) so excited for Shadows. I’ll also try plat the other ac games I haven’t played at some stage
Rogue was my favorite right next to AC 3. AC 3 is definately rough around the edges compared to the rest but I love it for its history. AC Rogue is my all time favorite though cause of both the lore it plays between the kenways, unity, and valhalla, and the fact it takes us to one of my favorite places on earth I want to live around sometime. The north eastern north American costs of Canada north of Maine and south of Greenland. I love the environment of this region of the world as well as the gloomy weather!
Great video! I played the first Assassin's Creed games ages ago, but recently jumped back into the series with Odyssey. Now I’m feeling inspired to dive into Origins too-thanks for the awesome breakdown, it’s really helping me plan my next adventure!
I started with Syndicate first last year. Then i played Odyssey (got the ultimate bundle on sale, so i had both DLCs), then Origins, then III remastered, then III Libration remastered (AC3 and Libration came free with my Odyssey or Origins bundle, i foroget which). I platinum trophied Odyssey and origins. Odyssey is my favorite. I'm currently in NG+ Odyssey. But my 2nd fave is Syndicate bc i love playing as female characters, but also bc i love the time periods of those 2 games. I play on ps4.
For someone into rpg elements I would recommend AC Odyssey, you can control story decisions, nemesis system, expoloration and inventory/skills loadout on a good action-rpg lvl. But Origins/Valhala is still close on that too.
I think starting with AC origins will be the best idea because then you can discover which part of the franchise you like the most,, the assassin part or the RPG one and take on your taste further by either playing stealth games the oh AC games or RPG ones directly…..
I started with AC3, which jumpstarts you to what the games are really about. From there I played origins, odyssey, Valhalla, then rogue. That’s all you really need to know about the story. From here you can play around with black flag, etc.
Played AC 1 way back in 2007, didn’t like and gave up on the series. In 2023 I played Origins, LOVED IT! Played Odyssey and loved it. Just about to finish Valhalla, the weakest in the trilogy imho but still liked it a lot. And now I want to check out some of the older games.
My first was Brotherhood, loved it! After that Black Flag and was completely blown away. 2 of the best games I've played. The later ones didn't really do it for me. Played Valhalla and Mirage most recently, but couldn't really enjoy it.
AC1 takes some research to enjoy it to the fullest. Learning what the game doesn't tell you, weirdly some of the best bits. So anyone who would like to do that should start with it
Personally, I started with Rogue, and while I know it gets a lot of hate for some reason, i still love the game and it had me looking deeper into the games and I just love Shay's story and character. Also side note: If u wanna go chronologically in the time frame of Black Flag and 3, you go AC: 4 - Rogue - AC: 3 - Unity imo. All of them tie together perfectly
The first time I tried to get into Assassin’s creed games was when I was little and couldn’t even get past the tutorial of the first game on my xbox 360 because I didn’t understand it😂 Couple years later I tried Assassin’s creed Odyssey on my cousin’s Xbox and the experience was amazing (even though it was for 1 day) I fell in-love with that game. 2 years later I got Black Flag and Rogue and I can say now for sure all Assassin’s creed games are worth it just jump into it without stressing over it
AC Unity is such an underrated game. Perfect setting and best stealth in the series. It is only still regarded as bad because of the bugs when it first came up.
I bought Mirage as the first game I actually played. As a kid I wasnt able to just buy what I wanted and my parents didn't want to buy Violent games so I bought Mirage on sale on steam for 25 bucks. I love it so far. I never really knew much about the others other than some playthroughts I watched and knowing the names of some of the characters. and Black Flag I think all my friends had growing up so I like watched them play. But Mirage has been fun for me so far especially the setting of Bagdhad and like just the overall chillness of the game.
AC1, Ezio Trilogy, the Americas up to Unity. Then Origins and beyond. The originals especially are worth playing for the Desmond story aswell AC being at its peak during that time.
My first was Chronicles (all 3 sucked!) Second was Odyssey (loved it, still play it) Third was Valhalla (Enjoyed it a lot, still play it) Fourth is Origins (love it, still play it)
I started with AC II (Ezio trilogy). I owned Odyssey first, as it was a freebie, but chose to acquire each of them for my PS4 before starting!! Looking back I could've started with Odyssey, as agree that different types of players will be better suited to different starting points, but my mind wanted to play them more closely to release order... ...& now I'm currently replaying them yet again!!
I started with Origins, absolutely loved it and got me into the series. Rn im playing Odyssey and maybe you will hate me, but I even find it better than Origins (my opinion). So after Odyssey I want to continue with Valhalla. Ik its very hated, but i wanna try out the viking era. Maybe later on, I go back and play Black flag, Unity and Syndicat. "But why dont u start with Ac1?". I'm the type of guy who likes to play modern games, not too old ones. Yh maybe the are better sometimes (maybe its also just the Nostalgia), but i want better graphics, a bigger map, more story.... I want a game which I can plaz on 100+ hours and still have much content to do. I'm a very picky guy XD, but hey everybody has his own preferences and u play the game u want. Ppl on yt help u to find the right one.
I started with AC Revelations, didn't understand shit when I played it for the first time, but fell in love with the setting, story and gameplay mechanics. Made me want to play AC1, AC2 and Brotherhood.
I started out with AC1, followed by AC2, Brotherhood and Revelations. Then my pc gave up on me, that was years ago. For some time I played AC Identity on iPad till they pulled that game from the App store. Now that I got myself a console I started replaying the games, again starting with AC1, AC2, ACB and ACR. Will continue with AC3 and Black Flag and see how far my journey takes me. So far I liked all of the games, most of all AC2 with its story, gameplay, soundtrack and locations
Syndicate is fun for beginners I think. It's quite straightforward, and I loved bombing around VIctorian London on horse-drawn carriages, forming gangs and switching between protagonists.
Jokes on you guys, I actually started with Valhalla, because as a Norwegian it is cool to play a game that takes place in Norway as a Viking. Had no experience on the actual AC franchise. Quickly fell in love with it, because of the nature and the graphics. My dad and I played it a lot. Mostly my dad who got more hooked than me. Finished the game after 250 hours played. Collected all that was to collect. And now there is a lot of other add-ons to the game, so I have to go get grinding again haha
My first was AC3 big history nerd and I am from Boston so lowkey AC3 will be the best in the series. I am kind of a big fan of the newer rpg playing style but also miss the feel of the older games.
I started with odyssey at the end of this summer, like a month ago and I am absolutely loving it, but when I will finish it I don't know with what game i should continue
I've started with Ac1, but I knew the existence of AC 2 already I think that you are making a great thing for the new AC Fans I think that they must play the games in order and then try to play in chronological time line, so AC Odyssey, Origins, Mirage, Valhalla, Altair Chronicles, Ac1, Bloodline, the Ezio saga, Chronicles China, Freedom Cry, Ac1 Black Flag, Rogue, AC Liberation, AC 3, AC Unity, AC Chronicles India, AC Syndicate and Chronicles Russia
I didn’t do any research and I didn’t know much about AC just that years and years ago my brother played them and liked them so I saw Valhalla on sale and got it. I am quickly learning that I played myself.
Great guide. Unity is also the only AC game ever to feature a co-op mode and I think that's a shame because I love experiencing these games with friends. I wish they all had co-op, but maybe that's just me.
Always start from AC1. Each and every AC games are connected with one main storyline (even tho’ it’s a little bit broken in AC syndicate, but you’ll get what i mean) I told my lil brother to do a marathon of AC starting from the first game up to valhalla, at the same time, my friend just started the game from Unity. My brother finished the marathon for months and reached Valhalla (and now playing mirage), and my friend stopped at Origins. Compared to my friend, my brother appreciate and understood the whole lore much better. Assassin’s creed is not perfect, but for me personally, there’s no better way than to play the whole series right from the first game.
I am suprised he didn't mention or really entertain AC Mirage as a thought, while I have been in AC circles for a little while now, my younger brother wasn't and wanted an assassin game true to its core of stealth, freedom, and where the story doesn't get completely lost due to just too many things to remember or just over-complicated game mechanics. So knowing that older games don't same have controls and mechanics of modern day games, I recommended AC Mirage as it ticks most boxes of what a true assasin creed game should look and feel like in today's day.
I've played tons of AC games but none of the older versions have been able to keep my attention for more than an hour or two. The only two that really go above and beyond, in my opinion, in terms of production value, entertainment, and wonderful fighting mechanics are AC Origins and AC Odyssey. I tried Valhalla but I think it was a downgrade compared to the previous two games. But if I were to pick the best AC game ever made, that's definitely AC Odyssey.
I always say go with the one that intrigues you most start there. I didnt grow up playing Ac I was always interested but it was odyssey and valhalla. that interested me most because I love Greek Mythology and Vikings are badass. Despite me loving to see the stealth of the older games when I see my cousin plays. I started there and I'm going back to Unity and Syndicate.
Definitely don't start with Revelations or you're just going to be spoiled and lost with The Ezio Trilogy and the modern day. And don't play too many AC games before playing AC 1 like I did or the game will feel too limited and outdated. I would recommend playing The Ezio Trilogy, Black Flag, Origins, and maybe Unity no matter what.
I had a unique experience because I loved AC growing up and then didn’t touch the series after the ezio trilogy. I ended up getting odyssey for Christmas one year from my brother in law then I went back and played all of the games. I personally recommend going in order because there’s a great lore foundation in AC1, but if I was trying to get someone into the series, I would have them start with AC2 or black flag. Even people I know that aren’t fans of the franchise have played either or both of those games
I started the Ezio's Trilogy because i couldn't play AC 1 on PS4, i got 100% on all 3 games and now I'm going to play AC3 and Connor looks pretty cool.
I feel violated to not have syndicate in any of the recommendations, it's easily one of the best AC game for Historical POV and how it all shifted towards modernism.
All games are great and they bring something to the table... they are all worth playing . I just want to add the amazing contributions of SARAH SCHACHNER and JESPER KYD ... amazing soundtracks on all AC games
My first was AC3 back than on a shitty PC. I hadn't got a PlayStation yet, a year later the PS4 came out with the release of Black Flag. I dreamed about playing the first and the Ezio Trioligy which I played 3 years later when Ubisoft released it in a bundel on PS4. I couldn't play the other in the series because they didn't excist back then. I got excited for every year when a new AC was coming out with a new setting. I loved them all. I would say start with Origins; than Mirage Odyssey Valhalla than 1 , 2 , 3 and so one because the Templar Order started after BC. in the year of the first AC and Origins Odyssey and Valhalla had "cults" those cults were the "templars" because they only got formed at the year with the crusades (AC1 with Altair).
The one game from the series that I keep returning to is AC 3 ❤ The setting of colonial America is hugely underrated in my opinion, but to me it was the perfect one.
For me the AC games have been a mix of gameplay, story and the tourism aspect. AC1: started with this one because it was so unique at its time. AC2: Improved the gameplay, Renaissance Italy and Ezio. AC Brotherhood: Italy and more Ezio. AC Revelations: Istanbul and Ezio. AC Black Flag: Pirates, boats and sea shanties. AC Origins: Egypt and Bayek. AC Mirage: Baghdad and return to gameplay roots a bit. Have not played other games as I have gotten enough AC gameplay from those that I have played. Also the other games do not have interesting timeperiods and locations for me. Regarding the AC series. I love it and hate it. I love what Ubisoft is providing, as we do not get many games with historical settings. They are unique on what they do. But I also hate what Ubisoft does with the AC games. The historical setting is a lot of times just a backdrop which annoys me. They could dive way more deeper with the story and cutscenes to the culture, traditions and mentality of the people of that time. Let us have quiet moments between the action and the assassins vs templars theme, to also teach us of these people. Not in a forcing way but naturally that fits in the flow of the story and gameplay. Another thing that has disapointed me is a certain lack of care and polish from Ubisoft. AC Mirage cutscenes being the most recent example of the games that has been released.
My first Ac game was Syndicate because at the time it was new and on shelves and I was younger. It’s a good game but I felt it was slightly restrictive with little aspects and also because I lived in London I didn’t think Victorian London was super interesting for me. So my next game was Unity, and my god did I love that game. Like what’s said in the video, there are flaws and some problems with the story but it is just a fun and engaging game to play. The stealth really grabbed me and it made me want to play everything the game could offer (it was one of the first games I complete 100%). I then got Ac Origins because that was the next game coming out and it was set in Egypt which was obviously a very interesting location with a lot of history. And again I thought it was incredible, Bayek was a great character, the story was very cool and the gameplay was different to what came before but I thought it was just right for me. Again I played the DLCs when they came out and was just super happy with the franchise. So naturally, I started to look back and see if the older games were really as good or better than the games I played were, I mean that’s what everyone was saying online so I had to make sure for myself. And then I was in absolute bliss. I played all the games from Ac 2 all the way to Black flag and rogue. For different aspects, I enjoyed all of those games and was able to see what people had been talking about online. Eventually I got to play ac 1 and yeah I don’t want to keep repeating myself but it was super cool. I think that you can’t really go wrong with playing any of the early games up to Unity. All of them have some fantastic mechanics, great stories and interesting characters. I think the games that came after origins aren’t really what I’d call ‘true Assassin’s Creed games’ because they minimise the assassin part of the franchise to more accurately portray a ‘Spartan warrior’ or Viking experience, which for some people that could be exactly what you’re looking for and that’s totally fine. I think for what they are, Ac Odyssey and Valhalla are good games, but again they aren’t really great Assassin’s creed games, it’s more of an afterthought. Mirage does feel like it tried to replicate the spark of the original series of games, but I feel it sometimes feels disjointed somehow. So yeah, that’s my thoughts on the franchise and games as a whole 🔥😎
Story Wise : Ac2 (AC1 hasn’t age that well so watching a 20 minute story explanation of AC 1 is enough. I started with AC2 never had any problem) Gameplay wise: AC 3 or Black Flag. I think everyone should play the ezio trilogy before anything. It has one of the best story in gaming history.
I must have the weirdest order started with revelations , rogue ,then black flag, origins, syndicate . But I feel that Ubisoft should try and explore the dynamics of a game where an assassins goes against the council's (creed) way to protect people and explore some inner conflicts while a grandmaster uses this to divide them.
The best part of AC 1 is it's story and especially presentation. Sure, AC2 will catch you up on it, but I think skipping AC1's story is a crime. And certain moments from AC2 (that one flashback and Desmon fighting for the first time) will have more weight and meaning if you played the previous game first.
Between black flag and origins they contain open worlds big enough to comprise with the new games and stealth elements present enough to introduce u to the old ones
The obvious answer to this question would be AC1, IF Ubisoft had ported it to modern consoles as they did with every other PS3/360 era game. Frankly, AC1 is the only reason I still have my PS3

I know you probably get this a lot but you have to play the Ezio Trilogy man😊
@@KrisKelso1810 haha yeah I know, at this point I'm hoping they remake the Ezio trilogy after AC1 remake.
@@mattbettcher7439 yeah you're right. I think I'll do an AC Marathon before Shadows comes out
@@lightTheImp lol you don’t have to of course but my friend is playing through them for the first time starting at 1 and he’s midway through 3 now and he said he liked the older better SO FAR 😂
The right order: Ac1 - Ac2 -Ac Brotherhood - Ac revelations - AC3 - AC4 - Ac Rogue - Ac Unity - Quit
Origins is definitely better than unity lol
@@madarabignoob3855 don't ever speak again
@@nakkipate1953Unity is shit 😭 people only Like it because of grafics and parcour
For historical tourism: Play Discovery Tour
For narrative: Play AC1
For action: Play AC3
For stealth: Play AC1
Play AC1
also a great approach
The repetitive mission structure really turned me off and that was after I played the other ones (except Odyssey) to fill in the gaps.
thank you bc of you i got into oddesy as a history nerd and am loving it! excited to play more games in the series
Do you like RPGs?
Yes-> Origins
No ->
Do you mind playing old games?
No -> AC I
Yes -> Black Flag or Unity
Feels good to be an OG that started with AC1
Seeing that E3 trailer and demo for AC2 back in the day... The hype.... oof, feels good man
Start with Odyssey, one of the best games and it helps you transition from normal rpg games to assassins creed stealth
id known about assasins creed for a while but honestly your channels helped me get into the franchise didnt have a yt account back then but now that i do i must say your an absolutely fantastic youtuber and all the luck to you
Thank you so much! Thats awesome to hear
Growing up with these games, I gotta say just play it in the order they released. The first game is a bit of a slog, but it's worth it for the Desmond Miles plot.
Short answer: it does not matter start with someone and play which one you want
My favourite is revelations...that ending is just pure gold
Arthur morgan dies...feel hollow but didn't cry
Aunt may dies..feel sad but didn't cry
Ezio talking to Desmond...cried for 10 mins straight
😂😂
I bawled at all 3! 😂😂 I’m a baby
Ezio finally realising this whole war is pointless and finally resting his sword while also realizing his whole life's point was being a messenger to the future. this is why he didn't take the apple.
and then that whole speech, every single sentence of that speech is so good.
also the music in that whole scene is just great.
the whole first civilization collapse with that mother and child dying is so good.
you might think all of this is bad or mediocre and thats fine. but nothing gave me that same feeling as that scene.
revelations had an amazing story and a perfect ending to ezio and altair. shame ubisoft failed to give desmond an equally worthy ending.
Black Flag was my first AC game and it made me fall in love with all of the AC series.
I started with AC 1 then AC 2 then AC brotherhood, etc. My uncle introduced me to the assassins creed franchise lol, and i love it.
Great video! I played the first Assassin's Creed games ages ago, but recently jumped back into the series with Odyssey. Now I’m feeling inspired to dive into Origins too-thanks for the awesome breakdown, it’s really helping me plan my next adventure!
Hope you enjoy it!
And now I want to check out some of the older games.
not only do your categories and recommendations within them make sense, but somehow you picked my top 4 AC games overall 😂 couldn't agree more
i like how he mentioned the game that hasn't come out yet more then ac mirage
AC Origins was my first and will always be my favorite. We really need more historic tourism franchises.
I'm on the same journey as you! I am just about to finish Origins, and I them planning to play Odessey and Valhalla after that.
Glad you’re enjoying them
Are you me, I am also picky what games I play😅 I started from odyssey and then valhalla. I loved both but odessey stole my heart
i decided to skip odyssey after seeing the hp sponge enemies with no work around to avoid that
I’m gutted I couldn’t get into origins… tried twice…. Sadly the game never clicked for me
I‘ve started with AC 1 and Then completet Every game execpt rogue and it was the best decission
It's quite straightforward, and I loved bombing around VIctorian London on horse-drawn carriages, forming gangs and switching between protagonists.
it can be very fun for sure
Jokes on you guys, I actually started with Valhalla, because as a Norwegian it is cool to play a game that takes place in Norway as a Viking. Had no experience on the actual AC franchise. Quickly fell in love with it, because of the nature and the graphics. My dad and I played it a lot. Mostly my dad who got more hooked than me. Finished the game after 250 hours played. Collected all that was to collect. And now there is a lot of other add-ons to the game, so I have to go get grinding again haha
Mine was AC 3. Then I finished every single entry except Valhalla and Mirage.
I would recommend mirage, despite my preference to the OG style of games
Mine was ac 3 too
My first was AC3 big history nerd and I am from Boston so lowkey AC3 will be the best in the series. I am kind of a big fan of the newer rpg playing style but also miss the feel of the older games.
Odyssey or origins.
Odyssey
Still playing Odyssey
My first AC game was AC 1 and then AC 3 and then Origins Odyssey and then Vahalla. My favorite was Unity and Origins.
I started with odyssey at the end of this summer, like a month ago and I am absolutely loving it, but when I will finish it I don't know with what game i should continue
I will play origins. alsoplaying odyssey at the moment
ODYSSEY is a great game and the only Assassin's Creed game I could stand.
I started the AC line with Rogue. It turned out all right
I've started with Ac1, but I knew the existence of AC 2 already
I think that you are making a great thing for the new AC Fans
I think that they must play the games in order and then try to play in chronological time line, so AC Odyssey, Origins, Mirage, Valhalla, Altair Chronicles, Ac1, Bloodline, the Ezio saga, Chronicles China, Freedom Cry, Ac1 Black Flag, Rogue, AC Liberation, AC 3, AC Unity, AC Chronicles India, AC Syndicate and Chronicles Russia
I didn’t do any research and I didn’t know much about AC just that years and years ago my brother played them and liked them so I saw Valhalla on sale and got it. I am quickly learning that I played myself.
I started with ac2 and have since played the first 5 games.
very nice
@@TheSpaniardAssassin ac2 remains my favorite to this day
Just go from 1 to last i did it in last 2 yrs and enjoyed it.
Great guide. Unity is also the only AC game ever to feature a co-op mode and I think that's a shame because I love experiencing these games with friends. I wish they all had co-op, but maybe that's just me.
My first was odyssey because i love Ancient Greece and the fact it was about greek history appealed to me and now i want to play every ac game
Played Brotherhood first as my induction. Hooked up with the series after that❤
Playing mirage now after coming back to the franchise and I’m having fun with it
Always start from AC1. Each and every AC games are connected with one main storyline (even tho’ it’s a little bit broken in AC syndicate, but you’ll get what i mean)
I told my lil brother to do a marathon of AC starting from the first game up to valhalla, at the same time, my friend just started the game from Unity.
For stealth, I would also nominate Syndicate...
I like how you breakdown everything 🔥
I actually went in order in 2014. Bought them all.. never heard of it before then. . I think it was best to do it from part one on..
Chronological order
AC odyssey
Origins
Mirage
Valhalla
AC 1
AC 2
Brotherhood
Revelation
AC 4 black flag
AC rogue
AC 3
AC Unity
AC syndicate
😂
I started with 4, then 3. (Only had a Wii U at the time.) But don’t sleep on Rogue or Syndicate!
I started the Ezio's Trilogy because i couldn't play AC 1 on PS4, i got 100% on all 3 games and now I'm going to play AC3 and Connor looks pretty cool.
they're great games
I believe AC is such an incredible video game series, if u start playing the first one you will be so invested you will want to play everything
I feel violated to not have syndicate in any of the recommendations, it's easily one of the best AC game for Historical POV and how it all shifted towards modernism.
I chose: BF, Rouge, AC3, Unity, Syndicate and Origin for finish
I would say start with Origins; than Mirage Odyssey Valhalla than 1 , 2 , 3 and so one because the Templar Order started after BC. in the year of the first AC and Origins Odyssey and Valhalla had "cults" those cults were the "templars" because they only got formed at the year with the crusades (AC1 with Altair).
i started with ac1 because its got the most aura even tho that wasnt a word when i started thats games dark gritty ambiance is unmatched
I'd say start with Syndicate if you are looking for a city setting or Origins if you want a more open world location.
I got into the series with syndicate. I'd say it's the best for beginners. Simply because of its simplicity.
The one game from the series that I keep returning to is AC 3 ❤
The setting of colonial America is hugely underrated in my opinion, but to me it was the perfect one.
decent recommendations though for best stealth experience i would recommend ac syndicate. that game imo had the best stealth focus
I started off with Origins, it came free with my xbox when i was 12. I love the earlier games, especially four, a lot more though
I'd love for you to do your own personal ranking with Pros/Cons of each game from your POV.
AC3 is the best, best story, best tutorials, and you get to know the legendary Desmond Miles and absolute unit ConnoryKenway
Assassins Creed Origins came out in 2017! I remember the day like it yesterday. 2018 was vastly different.
In what way
My first Ac game was Syndicate because at the time it was new and on shelves and I was younger.
I started with AC2 never had any problem)
Gameplay wise: AC 3 or Black Flag.
I think everyone should play the ezio trilogy before anything. It has one of the best story in gaming history.
I must have the weirdest order started with revelations , rogue ,then black flag, origins, syndicate . But I feel that Ubisoft should try and explore the dynamics of a game where an assassins goes against the council's (creed) way to protect people and explore some inner conflicts while a grandmaster uses this to divide them.
ive never seen that lmao
Thats like rogue and unity though, right?
@@SimF1e Nah I havenot played unity yet next will try that
@@ted_mosby Its a great game, look forward to it!

No start with 2 and then 3 then after that it's pointless you've played all of them.
Perfect recommendations! You new fans out there, this is a great video guide into the AC franchise. Cheers!
