IV - On An Unlikely Mechanism (Prepared Drums Studies)
This time, a short image of a sparse atmosphere, disturbed by the ignition of a gamelan-like mechanism. I'm using bells and objects with a small rubber as a central support which dampens some harmonics but still allows enough vibration for the bell to be amplified by the drums.
It's the fourth of a series of 6 video sessions on some of my personal drums extended techniques and sounds - all live techniques. Ask me if you have any doubts on how the sounds were achieved.
