I started watching you for the informational videos (I have cystic acne and I found you via another UA-camr), but I’ve definitely stayed because you’re such a positive influence in this space. I love how much you encourage healthier living, overall. Whether that’s eating healthy, exercising, having manners, playing with puppies, being with family, just overall positivity. I love your energy! You make the world better.

    "Well, hey guys!"
I don't think I'd ever get tired of hearing your intro. Also, "Don't forget... Sunscreen and Subscribe!" I literally say this outloud, either with you or you and your mother.
When I heard, "Well, hey there.", I sensed something different.
Traffic is no fun. I'm glad you and everyone else is safe. Thank God!
I want to let you know that I'm truly thankful for ALL you share... from skin care info to recipes to other general health tips to wonderful discounts that are actually worth using.
You continue to inspire me to better my all around health and my favorite subject... Skin Care.
P.S. I get a new journal about every 1-2 months because writing is soothing for my mind. :)
Ever considered writing a recipe book?
Thanks for everything, Dr. Dray! Have a blessed day!

Since getting a physically demanding job, I don't work out like I used to. Ballet workouts with Mary Helen Bowers twice a week and that's it. If I don't do that or at least go for walks, I feel uncomfortable.

As a girl who comes from the land of the roses and feta cheese, I have been sharing with people that the Bulgarian rose is the most sought after in perfumery. Despite the fact that rose food products (especially Turkish delight) were common, I was not aware of the powerful nutritional properties of the rose, so as usual I learned something from you. Over 20 years ago I went to the festival of the roses in the rose valley and it was the most magical experience. The amount of rose petals needed for oil to be extracted is insane!

Yeah, it would be interesting to hear that review. But I feel PC brand has become highly commercialized with all the serums and jazzy products, and it's not the most affordable either! Also, while PB presents herself as the beauty expert in the cosmetic industry, I can't help but notice that she does not really have relevant formal education in the area. She actually started as a makeup artist and an aesthetician, later becoming a TV host and an entrepreneur. However, I do appreciate her work on the beautypedia, I feel like she was among the first ones to successfully draw consumer attention to skincare/cosmetics ingredients.

Hala Ha I’m on my second bottle. I just wonder if, like so many of the things I’ve tried that Dr Dray has reviewed, they are temporarily giving me a good result but long term not very beneficial or even damaging.
Such a harsh product but it does give glowy, smooth, seemingly hydrated skin.

Biologique Rechercher cured my adult acne over 15 years ago. My cosmetologist at the time was trained on these products and I used a whole regime to treat acne along with scarring. I am not a defender of natural skincare precisely, I am super sensitive to essential oils, hate fragrance... But Biologique Rechercher is different, it truly is. P50 by itself will change your skin.

Rosanne Valadez it is not a substitute for a prescription retinoid. It will superficially peel, brighten, even out skin texture and tone. A retinoid does all of that as well but also helps your skin turn over faster, thickens the deeper layers of your skin, promotes collegian synthesis and can really help in the fading of scars and Hyperpigmetation

After being in a near fatal traffic accident myself, I always remind myself that I'd much rather be inconvenienced by a delay than be in the accident. Self care is a great topic. I know I should do better at that than I do. I should try Tai Chi so thank you for that reminder. I used to be a fitness nut until my accident. I tried Pilates but hurt myself. I'm also a loner work out person. I loved running the most. My phone actually has a blue light dimmer at 10 pm. I'm guilty of watching TV in bed and I use my Kindle Fire for reading or watching a show. Another area I can improve upon. I agree that it can be disruptive. You're so helpful! Afternoon from GA🍑! Loved your thoughts on self care, as a mom too often we put ourselves last. Would appreciate more tips, if not a full discussion on a skin routine for those of us who deal with rosecea. I'm very intimidated by trying anything drugstore outside of a cleanser, moisturizer or sunscreen for fear of causing a flare up.

Most of her recommendations to keep it simple will be safe for rosacea. Beyond that you would need medical guidance.

      E. Null good point. One of the main ingredients is mineral oil - has she spoken about this? I have watched a bunch of videos but not seen this specific ingredient come up.

Dr. Dray, is caffeine bad for skin? I heard coffee and green tea have antioxidant properties before but no mention about caffeine and skin health

I think they are both good for inflammation or under eye bags first thing in the morning. I use Dickenson's gel with caffeine. Green tea has many great uses. Hope you don't mind my 2 cents worth here!

Dr. Dray I have to work the night shift so that I can take care of my son in the day, this means I get home at about 2 am....is it possible that this is messing with my skin's ability to repair itself at night?? I wake up at 6 am to feed my son so roughly 4 hours of sleep for my topical adaptalene to work. Thank you!

Dr Dray, if I get enough hours of sleeping (ard 8 hrs), but I need to work on shift, and so sleeping hour would not be the same every day/every night. Would it be a big problem to my skin??

I don't know if you are in nursing but there are some articles from the 90's to recent about increased risks for women's health issues including hormone imbalances, brain health, and increased risks for breast cancer. The immune system can be impaired. I know sometimes it can't be avoided but just thought I would share. In the 80's I worked part time evening/rotating nights with very small children and after a year of that had to find a day shift position. I'm not a dermatologist but I would suspect lack of sleep and working night shift can disrupt our cortisol levels which can cause a host of problems including skin issues.

Aside from Bulgaria, Iran is also a major supplier of rosaxdamascena products. I think both are great (and they have bio-products too). I wanted to add something to the rose topic. You have 2 types of rose water: 1. rose petals seeped in water (with or without more dilution) and 2. side product from distillation of roses into oil. The second one is made of different components than the first one. Also the oil can be pure distillation product: very expensive. And the you have essential oils which are nowadays quite often "fake", ie not from plats but lab-produced. Yet again there is a difference between the two. People should definitely inform themselves before putting some products onto their skin (especially the rose essential oil).

Hey Dr. Dray, have you tried the Sei Mee Decaf Sencha? It's similar to matcha but decaf and is purported to actually have higher catechin content than matcha (theoretically shade-grown matcha yields higher caffeine, higher l-theanine, and lower catechins, while sun-grown sencha yields lower caffeine, lower l-theanine, and higher catechins)

Hello Dr. Dray. I have been away from watching videos and blogs for a few months andjust got back to watching them and especially you. I have to tell you how much I love your videos and always appreciated your honestly about products and skincare as there are thousands of products on the market that are overpriced and packed with unnecessary that are irritating as you well know. Not only are you very knowledgeable but you are interesting in your love of books, your creativeness and I could go on and on... Thank you for being you. I started using Cereve back around 2011 and was thrilled to hear youlove this line. I am 63 and used to put my Irish face in the sun years ago but became more aware that I just cannot not ever NOT use sunscreen and I couldn't basically ever go in the sun...Thank god my skin has been less dry and certainly improved. Also, you have saved me and othersprobably thousands of dollars purchasing the wrong products. Also, you are so funnyI find my self laughing at your comments and today I am so glad you think green teais great for your skin as I have been drinking it for years. I tell everyone about you.Sorry I am going on and on but one more thing thank you for telling us we have to cover up with sunscreen on the computer screen too. I have to remember to do that asI don't always remember at night. Also, Your skin is looking so beautiful and I love your hair long!!! You look amazing. Ok, so I apologize for this comment being so long. Thanks again, Dr. Dray.

Hi dr Dray! Great tips! I really like such content of your videos. Exercising is a great part of my life too. I don't do anything vigorous and like exercising in a group. Eating healthy is a way of life for me too. It's not in any way a sacrifice. Also it does not have to be boring or without any treats. One thing I will definitely try to implement is journaling. I think it is a great idea to put thoughts a bit in order. Thanks a lot and have a great day tomorrow!

I know what you mean about how stressful traffic jam’s are. Im not a fan of driving at the best of times. What a great motivational video with so much useful information as usual. As an artist I find that painting is the best way to relax for me. I agree with you that writing in a planner is so good for you, I have a Filofax soft domino and love it. I’m also in complete agreement that a good diet, preferably plant based is so important, not to mention kinder to our animal friends. I am ordering some rose oil for sure.
