So the 45lb plate will NOT fit in the 21L GR1. It does fit in the 26L and wouldn’t need anything else to secure it . I would be concerned about the zipper though and smashing it somehow.
@@JBOutside1 thank you so much. I have the 26L so that is encouraging. So even if I get the 30lb meant for the GR1 26L. I wouldn’t have to modify anything to use it to ruck securely from what it sounds like. Is the 45lb plate just too thick?
my question here is with the 30lb or 20lb plate in the outside ruck pocket in the 25l in, because the rear pocket for the 45lb is not occupied, will it bounce back and forth? i see that the velcro will secure the top of the 20 or 30lb ruck place but the bottom is technically not fully attached against the back of the bag and there will be movement of the plate moving away from the back of the bag. this reason right now is why im contemplating getting the standard 20l over the 25l. can you tell me if the 20 or 30lb plate does this and is it noticeable. just dont want the bottom of the plate bouncing back and forth into my back.
It doesn’t bounce. And now that I think about it that’s the purpose of the small foam block in the bottom of the big pocket. It keeps the plate locked in on the bottom and the top is secured by the Velcro. I’ve rucked with the 30lb like you mentioned and it was locked in
@@JBOutside1 great. once you mentioned the foam block, i figured it was the case. now i have to decide on if losing the hydration pocket on the 25l. i just want the 20l standard config in 25l. haha
If I may give you a suggestion, don't mix other bags into your review. Just focus on the main object. Otherwise people will be confused seeing so many types of bags in your review: GR1, Rucker 3.0 20L, Rucker 3.0 26L. What are you talking about? Which bag? 🤔 Remember, not everyone has time to see your review from the first second.
Thanks for the feedback and I hear what you're saying. While maybe this one wasn't as clear It's normally pretty obvious which bag I'm focusing on, comparisons to comparable bags is integral to what I do on my channel. The number of "how does X compare to Y" questions I get is immense...so I try to give some perspective on how a bag's features compare to its similarly-sized competitors.
This video is fantastic. So much detail and information. Exactly what I was looking for. Now we just need a restock of colors… sigh…
Take a look at my 4.0 video. Not sure any 3.0s will be restocked.
Great video? Maybe do one on the Melin hat?
I've thought about that...maybe soon
I also ruck but with a Weightvest.I liked both💪😎
🙏🏻
Another great video that's helpful and get's right to the point.
Thanks Joe!
New to this and doing my research to buy a bag. So the Rucker 3.0 had now evolved into the Rucker 4.0? Thank you.
Yes. Everything is 4.0 if you buy new. You may be able to find a used 3.0
@@JBOutside1 thank you for the reply. Are the 4.0 available in thr short and regular frame. IMO.
Sorry Short and regular frame? I’m 66 inches tall with out shoes.
@@srayle32 I think the regular one will fit perfect. Check the links in description for latest availability
@@JBOutside1 thanks much!
Did you use lifting straps (the red ones) for shoulder relief straps?

Yes, here’s a link.
@@JBOutside1 Thanks! Love your channel. Keep up the good work
Does the 45lb fit in the GR1 laptop compartment without much play. Or would it still need some enforcement with foam noodles?
Good question. I’m pretty certain it’ll need some reinforcement but I haven’t tried. I can give it a shot later today and I’ll post an update here.

The 45 lb plate WILL work in the 26L. It’s kinda close on the 21L size and it’s a combo of thickness and width

@@sdsviet I don’t miss the elastic pocket at all. I’m my opinion the pocket in the 25L is superior in design

te uchwyty sa ZA WIELKIE. Powinny przylegać do plecaka. MOżna się na tym zawiesić na gałęzi w lesie podczas przejścia przez krzaki. Głupie.
I can see that but they’re designed to help grab the bag during workouts. Essential for rucking events…its primary purpose. Thanks for watching!
@@JBOutside1 I understand the idea. They can be so small that a gloved hand can fit in there. They are too big. Greetings from Poland.
Version 4.0 is just pure disappointment. They ruined everything
Yep
Elaborate.
