Thank you a bunch I was bout to put myself in a bill not any more as a woman I changed my intake valve 😊😊😊
Thank you so much for the instructions. You are a life saver. I truly appreciate it!
Tricked my bastard washing machine! The washer would work on the hot side of things but only slowly out of the cold side. I always wash on cold so I just switched the hot and cold feed in the back of the machine. Now I have the washer set on HOT with cold water running freely. Knowing my luck the issue is probably the board and not this part anyways… simple fast fix if you are only getting water through one side and only want to wash at one temp. Thanks for the video tho!
Mine exact one here, new, makes a booming sound while filling up with water
During the fill cycle, the drum will spin. I've noticed if it's slightly unbalanced, it will knock into the side a bit and cause a boom. The other thing it could be is your pressure being really high, so it is very noticeable when the valves open.
I just moved. Used new hoses. Replaced water inlet valve because it was leaking. Attempted to run diagnostics. Lid lock is fine. No water coming from cold hose. What is the problem?
Great job my brother Esau
Thanks!
Thank you for your help!
I bought a new water valve put it in and it will pull water but once it shuts off and goes to start putting water in it won't start filling until I turn water off then back on
How much water does this machine use I just bought a new one of these from Lowes and it only fills to about 5 inches up from the bottom the fabric does when get wet I tried to take it back to Lowes to get a better model but they won't return it and whirlpool won't return it either I've only had it for 5 days need help
I have a brand new one and it won't fill up all the way over the clothes what is my problem
I started with the diagnostic test and the water comes out well but then I go to wash normally and it’s back to no water. Any suggestions?
Think I would have tightened up the packing nut behind the hot water valve
Love it ty
Man I have to change this thing like every 6 months and it getting on my nerves
Likely the transmission shaft is eating it up. It's change that transmission or get a new one. Changing the transmissions are not as bad as they seem.
Thank you so much for this video!
This crap isn't doing anything it has power I guess I'll have a go at the door switch
Thank you so much!! I started having this exact problem after having a water leak at my home. I believe once we got the water back up and running junk from the leak got into the hoses and ruined this part of my washer. I ordered the part for 50 bucks on Amazon, two days later I installed it in five minutes or less and it’s as good as new!
Thank you so much for making this video!!! :) I have a Whirlpool WTW4800BQ0 that all of a sudden wasn't filling. Not sure what I did, but it's working now. Used your instructions on putting it in diagnostic mode and it worked. Got out of diagnostic mode, and it's working fine now. ???? Thank you sooo much. Before watching this video I was shopping for a new washer. You saved me $1K. You're awesome!
haha i run into these, WOrks for me but not the customer, sounds like a similar issue haha.
my problem with this model is that it will only fill up the tub a quarter of the way, not getting enough water to wash no matter what cycle its on...
I am having the same problem that's y I am here
Thank you so much!!! This video was PERFECT. Easy fix and only costed $25 for the part.
How to adjust the water level????? Running on heavy soil level, and deep water wash and it’s not covering all the clothes???
I cant tell you how happy i am to watch this video...i didnt go all the way but my machine is now working..thanks a million
Great video! I have this same washing machine and after I ran it through test mode, it started filling again. I didn't have to buy the part which was great. Thank you for easy to follow instructions!
How do you do a test mode
So my wash adds water but it doesnt fill up to the level it needs. Would that be a valve problem? All the other cycles fill up as they need. Just the inital wash cycle doesnt get enough water.
Thanks man! Got my valve from Amazon. 15 minute job. My unit is only 18 months old. No service man in sight. You probably saved me 400-600 cash. I’m grateful.
This shit made my machine even worse 😂 this gotta be the worst washer I’ve ever bought
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@benjaminfranklin288 you laughing at my pain 🤣🤣🤣
They are junk washing machines! So much for Made in the USA! 😞 I had a Chinese made GE "Little Swan" Front Loader before this that lasted a decade with no trouble, & even though it was about double the cost, it was a much better washer. I sold it, & the dryer b/c they were too big for my current laundry room. The only thing ever had to replace on it it was a water inlet valve, which I did myself.
I just replaced the inlet valve on this one, & it didn't fix my problem. It still won't fill, only fills half-way with cold water (even if you choose hot), & is just a PITA! It's only 4 years old!
Mine puts water but not enough! Stop the water when is just enough to get the clothes cover but not more 😮
This was perfect! Thank you so much!!
All you had to do was tighten the packing nut on that hot valve boss or change it
fixed my moms washer with this video. you are the man, thank you
Thank you so much for this tutorial! Old house, chunks of hard water built up in pipes gunked up the system before I was able to add some filters in the intake hoses. Waiting for the new part (and bought a second to keep on hand for the future.)
I’m having this problem. After diagnostic test the hot water works, cold does not. Screen is clean and water pressure is great. Do I still need to replace water valve?
Saaaaaaaaaame problem.
What the name of that part u installed cause I have the same problem?
What if my lid locks I hear it throw water fine then it starts humming sound like it's stuck.. but if I run the spin cycle it spins
My issue is it’s not filling with enough water. I always have to do an extra rinse to get the soap out of my laundry.
Thank you so so much, I had the exact same issue, your instructions was clear and concise, my only issue was using a painters knife to get the control panel loose, it didn't want to come until I pushed harder and there was an extra spring clip on each side, apart from that went like clockwork. My only downside was, I couldn't wait for delivery so went to a local supplier and picked the part up at double the online price.
Where exactly I can get that part?
I get water but only fill up halfway or just one shower so our clothes wouldn't get wahsed right, is this valve also control the amount of water that needed for specific setting?
Thanks in advance
I was about to throw this machine away , thanks for the tip!!!
😂
I did exactly what did. After the fill mode mine would not switch to wash. Any thoughts at all what to do next?
Needs reset
Thank you for the video. Can you post the part number or a link to where the valve can be purchased. Thank you
If you're still looking, he put the links in the description. :)
Oddly my machine didn't come with a service manual. What's all the lights flashing mean???
What would you think if the washer just didn't fill all the way? It fills half way or less it won't do deep water. Same washer
Oh man I was hopping you had a way to back flush the inlet valve and save us some money. 😢
Thank you!!
Can you tell me how i know this panel or part is good or no
thank you for this helpful video you made it super easy to follow
Do you have to run diagnostics once you replace water inlet valve?
OK when I push the button to start my washing machine and when it started trying to put some water in it runs right back out of the hose into the sink in my inside of it is moving real loose. What do I do to fix it?
The inside of it is moving like real real loose like a belt popped off or something in the water running right out of it and I look like my cousin had it all small load for a large load
Can I have the same exact washing machine that you got?
How do i know this panel is no good
I'm having something similar, but it's not all the time. Mostly it won't fill if I leave it on normal wash, but will fill if I change the wash settings. Would that be a valve issue or a control board?
Did you find the issue?
@@amcrodriguez4775 Yes, it was the water valve assembly. Thank you for the video! Saved me a ton! It's working like new now.
Thank you!!!! Saved me so much money thanks to you!
The same exact washing machine
Hope to try
Great video! Super helpful
Omg thank you 🙏🏾
Came here since my machine won't take water, While watching this gave a nice whack, hurray it started taking water 😆
My man. I tried your trick and it worked!! Saved me a cool 500 at least.
I have a washer like this one but it only ever uses cold water even when choosing hot.
Pressure is good and hot water from the wall works as if I flip the two supplies lines to the wall it'll then only pull hot water and no cold.
Seems like the washer is only ever using the cold valve for the supply regardless of water choice. Any ideas?
Did you find a solution I also have this problem
@@chato209 My wife used 5 gallon bucket with hot water
Another video mentioned that there's a thermostat that prevents you from using water that's too cold (maybe if you live in the north) by adding some hot water even if you have it on full cold. Maybe there are two thermostat or just one that monitors the water from both valves somehow.
Water want drain out
This was SO helpful and easy to follow. Thanks for saving me money and showing me how to take a stab at it before calling someone out. Liked and subscribed!
That's right on saving time and making more money
Yes sir.
This worked - thank you!!
he!! yeah
