I am going to purchase a Focus ST and I am so glad that you guys are in Illinois I live in the city but I used to work out and what they do can't wait to do business with you guys
Just some feedback moving forward, as a guy that's new to working on cars you leave out a lot of details in the video. Take example removing the shifter cable, I have no idea how you did it, and you just breezed over it in the video.
Is the shifter assembly all the same PFL & FL? I got access to a donor shifter assembly from a 2014 . I have a 2016 FL . It’s just the center consoles plastic covers are different but the assembly is all the same?
You might wanna edit some of your people's comments coz the reason I didn't buy your short shifter was becoz someone said that it didn't actually change the hieghth of the shifter but in this video u said it's actually 1.5 inches shorter I hate when people ruin a product with Improprt reviews...oh well I got the Ford racing short shifter which feels great and I did get the boomba racing bushings for base and bracket...I wish u guys made an actual cable bushings like some others that are Available...
Hi there! I'm really interested to find out what the center console itself is. All ST consoles I've seen, including mine ('14) are different. Did you retrofit a non ST '15+ center console? Also how did you move the handbrake? Sorry for the off-topic question, but I've been wondering for a while now on how to do it and it looks like someone already figured it out. Thanks!
do you guys sell just the shifter assembly itself without the plate, i just purchased a BOV for my 2017 and it fit fine but the cobb shift plate seems to shorten the throw a little more
You definitely want to use some sort of grease. It ensures that the lever can move back and forth smoothly. Also, not using any grease may lead to a squeaky shifter.
Just picked up my Boomba Short Shift Arm from MAPerformance, cant wait to install it!

Do you just put the bushings on without securing it with an epoxy or glue of some sort?
If you have hot glue or something like Elmers glue, it helps a lot with holding them in place while you install them.

Hi! We're not familiar with the terms PFL & FL. Would you mind expanding a bit and then we can provide a bit more concise guidance. Thank you!

Are you referring to comments on this video or elsewhere? Our shifter is indeed 1.5 inches lower than the stock one.
was the plastic piece holding the side shift pivot pin broken because it doesn't just pop out that easy
It may take a bit of leverage but it does come out!

Yes all items are sold separately on our website as well. They can all be found here: www.boombaracing.com/drivetrain-10/
Would it still be good without white lithium grease?

Are the original bolts long enough or do I need new ones? For the transmission cable bucket bushings
The oem bolts will be long enough
Thank you! Everything worked out great ☺️
So I installed the bushings with little side down ... Seems fine to me will it cause a problem ?
As long as everything fit together tight you're going to be fine. Did the Boomba logo face up or down?
BoombaRacingInc face up
If the Boomba logos were facing you then it sounds like you did it right. You are referring to the shifter base, right?
is there a video for the 15+ model?
For installation? Just a PDF file: www.boombaracing.com/content/FORD%20FOCUS%20ST%2015%20-%20SHORT%20THROW%20SHIFTER%20MANUAL.pdf
Cable bracket bushings
If nothing is binding or loose feeling you should be okay.
Do u need loctite at all?
Nothing for this installation requires any Loctite.
Want to get this but looks like a bitch to install
+zorgon147 It really isn't so bad as long as you take it step by step!
