I was going for the same laptop but as the customization would take time, I went to a lenovo store and asked them about it. They suggested a laptop withe i5 12450H (Instead of the 12450HX here), at a slightly lower cost. Is there a noticeable difference the two CPUs?
The difference between the two is that the 12450HX can be undervolted.
If you don't care about undervolting then go ahead, but I don't buy Intel laptops that can't be undervolted. It's important for me.
I bought a 12450h and RTX 4060 and I couldn't be more happier. Got it at a steal deal on flipkart for 66k. It beats my 12700 rtx 3060 desktop in every parameter. People thinking 12450h will bottleneck are so so wrong. In fact there is no difference between this and 13650h with the same rtx 4060 95% of the games

Hey deeptesh, ive been recently getting videos in my recommendation with regards to the new loq 2024 , people are saying they have motherboard issues ( as in dead motherboard ) and severe battery problems. Even when plugged in , its having battery drain . Can u do a long term review later, there's even cases of screen bleeding etc very soon
Screen bleeding = all IPS panels in the world.
Battery drain = common "characteristic" with LOQ with 170W adapter as it uses battery power to achieve power targets. Request for 230W adapter.
Dead motherboard = Your call whether you still wanna buy.

No undervolting doesn't fix battery drain as it uses power from the battery to reach power targets.
There is a new BIOS update the claims to fix the drain. I will try that later. I'm out of station now.

Battery drain is common, the laptop uses battery power to reach the power targets.
Bigger issue is with motherboard - I would recommend i5-12450HX 4050 or the better 8645HS 4050 over 13450HX model.

Yes you can.
You can't undervolt any H series CPU since 12th gen. You can only undervolt HX models.

when i'm using d gpu mode tabhi afterburner is detecting the gpu nhi to igpu hi show kar rha hai vantage hybrid auto mode me, any solutions for this? fps track nhi ho pa rhe hai
I'm always on hybrid mode. That's it. If you are in dGPU mode, open nvidia control panel and set advanced optimus to Auto, then apply and then go to Vantage and switch to Hybrid and restart. Try it.
Is the LOQ Gen 9 8845hs rtx 4060 good choice at 88k price? I think thermals would be good because ryzen processors run at lower wattage. Also tell if i am not wrong that mobo wont die in case of ryzen loq. Also will the 8845hs need to be undervolted?
8845HS doesn't allow for undervolting.

* You need thin and light with long battery life.

The price is inflated by the ram, Ryzen '9' tax and 2TB SSD.... else this could've been 150-200 usd lower but okay. If you actually paid 1400 usd then it's alright.

I think so , if you want to use it for 4-5 year then go for the premium laptop like hp omen , legion series because their build quality is much better than this series . Yes you will not get the specifications how much this loq and all are providing but the build , and the internal components which are used like motherboard, that are top notch of these premium laptops. And that will sustain more.
If you will ask from me then I will suggest you hp omen 16 (wd0880tx) i5 13420 rtx 4050 . In offline you will get in around 87k . If you will wait then may be it price will drop in incomming sale.

It will take at least a year for that to happen. Rtx 30 is almost taken out of the supply from online stores. When RTX 40 series came to market. First cheapest 4060 was at 1.15 lakhs and 3060 was 1 lakh. So don't expect the price of 4060 to come to 60k and all 🤡. 73k-77k for 4060 is perfect

Only Ryzen 9 and all HX parts can be undervolted.
Undervolting is not compulsory on AMD but for Intel it is imo.

I am a music producer (a cpu centric task ) and play games on weekend should i go for it ? I use FL studio and some audio tools works only on cpu
Music production as of now is still CPU centric. Need more cores and fast cores. Getting a Ryzen would be better to leverage high clocks/more P cores but still maintain power efficiency. AMD also has better latencymon results than Intel.
But it shouldn't be long before even music production become hardware accelerated or atleast hw acceleration for audio production goes mainstream.

2. well if u wanna get a 230 adapter then u can request lenovo to give you one inexchange for 170 adapter but u need to show proof that the 170 drains under full heavy load or smth to them

I was thinking if I should go for the 3050 6GB variant or the 4050 variant when they get cheaper (sometime around September probably)
My budget is capped at 65K-70K, so should I get the 3050 this year or wait for the 4050 to get even cheaper? I will mostly be doing low to medium settings gaming since I only care about the frames.

You can get the 4060 LOQ for 75k odd with credit card cashback and 4050 LOQ for 70k odd with cc cashback.

It's better than LOQ in every way. GPU is similar to RTX 4070. 6900HX can also be undervolted using AATU Curve Optimizer.

Slowly slowly you'll build your knowledge and use custom mode or undervolting and stuff.

My budget is around 65 k so I'm torn between MSI GF63 i5 12450 + rtx 4050 6gb 45w with newer dlss and frame gen tech or and LOQ 2023 amd r5 7640hs and rtx 3050 6gb 95w so I'm waiting it out

There are some issue reporting with Intel 13 and 14 gen cpu laptop so consider ryzen variant

Ngl the laptop is so good just the processor is a bit weak but it's fine for gaming
Although people who wanna do 4k 60 fps edition (multi layer) they can have a bit of issues or a bit of lag gpu helps in rendering other than that it's a good laptop for it's price

Bro I have done streams from my i5-8300H and GTX 1050Ti and same on my R5 4600H and GTX 1650. Both systems single PC game streaming with dedicated mirrorless camera footage as well - there hasn't been any issue regarding performance apart from the expected 5% drop in frame rates due to some OBS overhead. I used to stream on this channel back in the day.

There's no better laptop than this at 70k currently. Only catch is the motherboard issue but that seems to in 14 and 13 gen only. Issue in a 12 is very rare.

Haven't done formal battery life testing but it's terrible. 3-3.5 hrs max to max. Go AMD for battery life.

It's great. You are referring to the R7 7840HS. Yes it's a lot more expensive.
But it have a normal display which is 65% sRGB IPS display
So is it worth buying the amd version instead of Intel with 100% sRGB display
@@pradeepchetri2714 Huge dilemma. Ryzen 7640HS is 10-12% faster than 12450HX and is more power efficient - will surely net you longer battery life. Now it's up to you if the display is more important or not.

My laptop configuration was loq i5 13450hx 4060 and 2 days ago i was playing Hogwarts legacy and it died, i called the customer support they said motherboard will be changed, i will just say this to everyone please go for amd variants in loq series as there are no such issues as of now i have seen multiple motherboard dead issues in intel 13th and 14th gen laptops. I have made a community post on my UA-cam channel to update what is going on right now how the customer support is helping me to resolve the issue will update it time to time if you want to know more.

i think my lenovo loq motherboard will die soon if i change my 170w adapter to 230 w I'm currently facing battery drop issue while playing game before this i got another battery problem its not even charging got stuck between 22% but it get fixed by bios update but they send 230 w charger after complaining in customer care that power supply is not enough and don't worry its a common problem means why if company already know then why didn't they already send 230w charger with laptop and when i got charger its plug top was big cant even use it in other place useless thing .so my father just refuse to take that 230w charger buy saying this plug top use in water heater or fridge laptop don't even need it and now I'm facing battery drop while gaming same thing happen with someone i know same laptop loq intel variant he got battery drop issue but he changed his charger and still got the issue and his mother board died should i ask for refund its only been 2 month I'm facing this issue people don't pay for bad product company should not experiment there product like this and i will say don't buy this laptop i found the reason why price is cheap in website its say 164k but you can get it for like 1.03lakhs now it more low 97k don't buy it.
