I've been a Chevy fan, like for life. In 1958 my dad got a brand new 1958 Chevy Impala, 348/3 duces, 411 posi, anniversary gold with continental kit, and fender skirts. But my brother made that car a legend. Love the Chevy small blocks
Well Mercedes would like to know why you have never heard of their turbo diesel engine. It came out over a decade before the Volkswagen. It was quick and used in their big sedans.
Sure. but its not as iconic, If Mercedes owned 90% of the car companies and shared that engine with every one of them at the same scale the VW TDI engine did. then yeah it would be Iconic and seen as a Great.
@FallsGaming what? He said before the TDI diesel were know as truck engines and underpowered and noisy. The Mercedes diesel was well know before hand as being powerful, a car engine, and quiet. It basically helped make the diesel car market well before Volkswagen's 1.9 TDI. Most car people know about it.
@@Tigerfire75 Yes but he also said the reason they picked the 1.9 TDI was cause of the Small size Good efficiency and High HP potential for its size. It did in fact make Diesel engines more popular.
Shows several v8 with distributor in front, not SBC

1.9 tdi Volkswagen really what a joke
Those engines were one of the most reliable VW engines ever built.
You include the 1.9 TDI but not the ford 300 inline 6? You've got no idea what you're talking about.
Your list is a joke.
