I’m 66 years old. I first bought Black Honey when I was 18. Back then it came in a little green glass pot and you had to apply it with fingers. I thought I was so chic for buying Clinique makeup. 😅 It’s a beautiful, earthy red, an almost universal shade. I’m glad Clinique has kept it in their product line.
I worked for Clinique for 4 years as a PC. Every mall and store that I worked I got to meet women that have used Clinique for years. They all absolutely loved Black Honey.
I’m in my 60’s. This was OUR version of a nude lip in the seventies and eighties. Today it would be considered more red than nude. But it was sheer and an earthy tone and even the natural girls wore it. It was not the violets and browns we wore to dress up. No one wore pastel pinks or beiges then. Those were shades our older aunts wore in the sixties. Now comparable products a dime a dozen. The Nivea tinted balm in Blackberry is another product in this category. The Almost Lipsticks ( back then there was more than one shade) and the Lancôme Le Stylo were considered so cool and innovative because they were slim tubes you could imagine sliding into your jeans pocket. This was not our mothers’ clunky chunky bulky tubes.
I had a slim silver cased, stick by channel when I was 15 or 16. Saved my money to bye it. It was a sheer plum violet color in silver tube. Everyone had it. I'm now 55😍
I’m in my 60’s, too. Didn’t we all wear Black Honey? Yardley also had a gloss in a pot that I loved named Clear Red. It was my favorite neutral lip. Unlike Black Honey it didn’t keep coming back.
It is genuinely so cute and endearing to see another generation discover Black Honey all over again. It just keeps happening!! It happened to my gen (millenial) and now gen Z found it too!
It’s so difficult to get it now - and this is one of the best lipsticks/almost lipsticks in my opinion - I hope Clinique will continue with this colour and won’t go on and off with it!
You should make a video about lip products that make your lips look smooth. As someone with chronic dry lips and very exaggerated lip lines, I think a video like that would really help me!
If you've ever considered K-beauty, I recommend lip tints! They are very hydrating and blur the lines on your lips. Peripera, Rom&ND, or 3CE are great places to start and very affordable 😊
I went to an all-girls high school back in the early 90’s in Manila, Philippines and make up was absolutely forbidden. But this was the shade we used to give us a hint of color and perk up the face. I still keep this shade in my makeup arsenal both for sentimental and its perpetually flattering look no matter how tanned or “winter shade” my skin gets.
Id loved for years as I remember reading when Lord of the rings came out that this was the little colour they used on Liv Tyler for Arwen. Cool that is had a resurgence
Yes, I fell in love with it on Liv when I was about 15 and when I read in a magazine it was Black Honey I was so happy because my mom used to be a chemist for MAC, Clinique, Estee Lauder and Bobbi Brown, so until she had her strokes and had to quit we always had stashes of Black Honey in our makeup closet
Thank you! I had Black Honey from a sample or something a decade ago, enjoyed it, and loved what it was, but $20 for a colored balm was a pass for me. Looking forward to trying out the elf sheer slick! Haven't heard of it til this comment. 💚
I wore Black Honey until I ditched Clinique (and all other brands that test on animals) several years ago. Good to know both Burt's Bees and e.l.f. have viable options. Thanks!
None of them is cruelty free if you include humans in the species that might have been harmed in the making of these products, as well as the environmental damage of "cruelty free" products that DOES damage and kill animals.
I'm 71 and I want to say that when Black Honey came out it was different & pretty much one of a kind. I still love it & use it. I used to use Clinique's cheek stain on my lips & then the BH over it. (This started my obsession for the perfect lip stain!) I am intrigued by the Elf one & will give it a try.
@@parttimehallmonitor Sorry, when I said "different" I meant there wasn't anything else out there like it. The color, to me, is the same. I've always been a plum-y, true red, kind of person.
@@parttimehallmonitor I believe you are right about the bullet/‘lipstick. I remember wanting to try it to see the formula, shade, and lasting power. I never did & now I think it is gone. Maybe this tik tok (sigh) viral business might hint to Clinique to cash in on different things...one cane hope
I wore this to my wedding. In 1991. I’m 54 now and still use it. I don’t know how many tubes I have around. But I’m interested by some of what you reviewed (so well). And others mentioned in the comments. ‘Viral’ annoys me, but for once I am glad. A new generation discovering this wonderful product.
I totally agree. I’ve been wearing Red Dahlia for years on days when I want to look a little put together but can’t be bothered with full makeup. Red Dahlia and mascara and I’m good to go.
yes, it's waaay more moisturizing than black honey. i always have black honey on hand, because it is such a good and classic product, but i always end up reaching for red dahlia instead.
Yes, I love the Burts Bees Red Dahlia almost as much as my Clinique Black Honey. Problem is, after using the BB a few times, they twist up, but won’t twist back down. I’ve bought several and it happens to every one of them. (This only happens to the BB Tinted balms, not the regular “no color” lip balms.) 😕
Oh my god, I wore Clinique Black Honey in junior high, way back in the *cough*90s. I haven’t thought about it in years! Might have to check out that elf dupe, it sounds great.
Isnt it funny, the majority of the commenters used it many years ago. I didnt even know it was still a thing. Nor did I know it was a thing when I bought it like 20 years ago😁

Thank you Amanda for all the effort you put into these videos I love them all. You deserve more attention and I am a forever follower! 💕
I have been wearing black honey since the 90s and think it's great that it's having another moment. I love that you listed the Burt's Bees Red Dahlia as a comparison. It's my favorite "apply without a mirror" balm when I want a hint of color, but I never thought to compare it to the black honey. Now I know why I love Red Dahlia so much.
@@AmandaZ It's a really thin, lightweight, slippy balm, not THEE most balmy balm of life but definitely still comfortable - it almost feels closer to a lip oil than a balm after applying. Nice sheer wash of berry tint that doesn't catch too badly on dry lips and I personally love the smell, it makes me hangry for a berry dessert LOL.
Yes! I love the Nivea, too. I also use the Burts Bees and I even have a Revlon Black Honey lipstick (so dark, but I put it on lightly with my finger.) Now I am ordering the Elf. Always on the lookout for a Black Honey, dupe. Cheers!
Yes Nivea BlackBerry lip balm is almost similar to Black honey and I use this nivea lip balm because it's affordable and the color is so pretty😂 But I think the Nivea balm is a bit more shimmery than the Black honey
Totally agree with your sentiment about dupes. I’ve tried so many “dupes” that I feel like aren’t anywhere near the original product and I feel mislead like I wasted my money because everyone said it was good quality when it wasn’t.
Another good sheer lip product somewhat similar in shade that I love is the Revlon Kiss balms in Berry Burst. It's more sheer than the Elf but it gives that really nice hint of dark berry. And it's very moisturizing on the lips.
I revisited Clinique Black Honey recently due to its popularity surge. I remembered the reason I purchased it - that unique, earthy tone. But I also remembered why I hadn’t used it used it in so long….The formula is not so great, It drys down quickly, and it lasts a short amount of time before I need to reapply again. I am excited to try the Elf Sheer Slick Lipstick in Black Cherry! Thanks for your honest review!
Like many previous commentators I wore Black Honey initially in the 1970s. My newer more glamorous version is Givenchy Rouge Interdit Vinyl in Noir Revelator. It’s a beautiful formula for dry lips and much closer to the colour and texture of the original Clinique Black Honey💜❤️🖤
I’ve been trying to dupe this for literally decades…Clinique has tried discontinuing it several times over the years! I’m glad the younger folks are bringing it back in fashion! A few dupes (or dupe adjacent) in my collection: Revlon’s Shine lipstick in Rum Raisin is very, very close (Black Cherry might be close depending on your natural lip color) NYX Butter Gloss in Rocky Road (Cranberry Pie and Devil’s Food cake are close but a little less brown) Burt’s Bees Fig Lip Shimmer (very, very similar color, but has some shimmer. I like it a lot, actually.) Discontinued, but if you still have it around: Revlon Lip Butter in Fig Jam (very, very close) and Wet and Wild Balm Stain in Truffle in Paradise (applied with a light hand/blotted) Clearly, I have plenty of Black Honey-esque products for now (plus a slightly used tube of the real stuff)…but if I see some of these other ones around (especially if they go on sale!) I might just have to get back ups for my back ups. LOL.
Seeing people in their 60’s say they remember this shade in high school is blowing my mind. I thought I was ahead of the game by knowing about it in 2010 lol
Clinique’s Black Honey lipstick was my first “fancy” (i.e not drug store) make up purchase, back in the mid nineties. I loved it then. I still love it. I think it looks good on EVERYBODY! I would definitely recommend it to every young lady starting out with makeup.
You're the number one person I trust on lip products. As a fellow dry lip person, any product I've tried that you have talked about has been spot on. Thank you so much. I love the muted brownish red color in these, it's the color vibe I was searching for without knowing it.
Oh my gosh this is so funny. I tried Black Honey probably 13-15 years ago when I was first trying makeup and loved. I don't buy from Clinique anymore but it definitely a type of product that deserves its moment again.
Black honey actually started out as one of Clinique’s lip glosses that was sold in those little pots. I remember this well because my Grandmother bought it for me when I was like 14 and my mother hated it because she thought it was too dark (the gloss was more of a bitten berry shade) and said I was too young to wear it.
Is it just me that finds the natural lines and kind of contoured lips absolutely gorgeous? I've always loved that natural look on a lip, to me it's so gorgeous and nothing to try to hide or be ashamed of.
I’ve been using elf praline lipstick for over 5 years now. It was so smooth and such a pretty color. It changed on my skin almost everytime I wore it. It was my favorite of all time!! and they don’t make it much anymore 😭 it was my most complimented lipstick color. For only $3 back then.. And now I am gonna try the elf black cherry color!! Because I love the texture and application of their lipstick
my grandmother used this, the scent if clinique reminds me of her. i kept the last one she owned before she passed and it’s in the previous green packaging. now i use it on a daily basis, i love it
I recommend NARS afterglow lip balm in the shade Wicked Ways. I own both that and Black Honey, and they look incredibly similar, but the NARS one does not cling to dryness like Black Honey does.
I own Black Honey & a bunch of those other similar tinted balms. I like them all. That skinny ‘solid gel’ lip formula was REALLY popular in the 80s. I remember so many brands, both high end and drugstore made this type of lipstick.
That shade of green looks so good on you. I've been really impressed with elf lip products lately. Their gloss in mocha twist has been a long time favorite. This year I picked up their balm in tough cookie and lipstick in cider and they are 👌 Sounds like I need to pick up this one too.
The tinted lip balm from Burts Bees, if you apply VERY generously, can absolutely be used as a cheek flush in a pinch. I do it pretty much every day. Most favorite lip product ever 🥰
@@sweetLemonist, Nope. Not more than anything else, and I have oily skin. I just make sure to pat it into the skin well and spray my face with setting spray (a spray that incorporates kaolin clay does wonders on my complexion).
I've been a longtime fan of black honey. It's been my favorite "nude" lipstick for 25+ years. Seeing the Burt's Bees lip balm reminded me of the old Bonne Belle Dr. Pepper lip balm, which had a similar tone as black honey. That was my go-to for years as well and I know several women who were very sad when it was discontinued.
i got some Bonne Bell Dr Pepper recently on Amazon. Actually they call it lip smacker (without the Bonne Bell part) but it’s the identical item i’ve used since the 70s
OMG THANK YOU! I live in Germany and actually bought Black Honey years ago on a vacation but the German Clinique site doesn’t sell it for some reason. I am so scared to run out so this is perfect!
I just bought a mini size of Clinique Black Honey. I definitely agree it’s quite stiff compared to a lip balm and doesn’t melt. And the pigment definitely sticks to the dry parts and crevices of the lips. BUT the color on me is unlike any I’ve ever seen. My complexion pulls out warm and cool tones so even “neutrals” tend to lean one way or another… so for this color to not lean super red or super brown or super purple on me is astonishing. It’s just a really balanced natural color. I just need to make sure I exfoliate and moisturize before I put it on. Which is kind of fussy, but the color is unlike anything I’ve tried.
I had a similar experience, I gave it to my mum! When I saw it popping off on TikTok I thought hmm maybe I should have given it another shot, but I remember it settling into my lip lines when dry (as you described) 💕 such a good video idea btw
Black Honey is one of my all time faves!! My grandma was a Clinique gal and would give me the little mini free gift size of it when she went to the Clinique counter!
Thank you SO much for this review and comparison! I was trying to find an affordable dupe for black honey and now I’m confident I won’t be disappointed by the elf lipstick I recently ordered.
I so remember this when I was a teenager. I'm 50 now, still love it. But, I'll definately be looking at Elf. I loved your eyes so much, just beautiful.
I love Red Dahlia by Burt's Bees! I am probably on my 7th/8th tube. It is my most used product when I feel I need something on the lips without wanting colour. I have constant dry lips and and therefore texture is something that is an issue for me.
I happened to pick up the Red Dahlia lip balm a few years ago and I've been hooked ever since. It has that nourishment and hydration you'd expect from Burt's bees and the beautiful deep color that is actually quite build-able! Highly recommend!
Hi everyone! When I was watching this video I realize, that in my cosmetic bag I have another dupe for Clinique lipstick. If someones from Poland, for sure know this product: Paese Nanorevit Au Naturel. I think it looks really, really similar. It also gives that natural sheer finish and costs only around 7$, without any promotion, so I recommend to check it out😉
I remember having Black Honey back in the 80s as a teenager - I forgot all about it. I love Burt's Bees Red Dahlia so much. It feels so moisturizing on the lips and you can build it to a pretty nice color. I wanted to add that Pacifica has a lip balm called Sugared Fig that is very similar to BB's RD. I have this one as well. It smells super delicious and the ingredients are probably better. Surprised to find it on Ulta for only $5.00!
I have never owned the iconic Black Honey. I did grab the elf Sheer Stick in Black Cherry though a few months ago and I love it. It's more on the plummy-burgundy side for me when I wear it so I love wearing it everyday or it would be amazing for Autumn. My mom's lipstick colors tend to be purpley so I gave her my Black Cherry and she loves it as well. I plan on picking up more shades at some point. 💜
Thanks for the suggestion of the Elf Black Cherry, it seems like a better option - looks so similar, vegan, easier application, and it's cheaper. I'll probably look for it the next time I'm in a shop
Really needed this video before I "wasted" my money on "honey." After a disaster with regular lipstick on my thin irregular shaped lips, I realized the color and texture of this balm is the most flattering way to go. Now headed out to Walmart to scoop up a couple of these dupes. Love Elf and Burt's Bees anyway so know I won't be disappointed. Thanks.
OMG Amanda your videos are right up my alley..I love this kind of makeup, soft natural, creamy and enhanced. Thank you for all your beautiful videos and recommendations.❤️
I am OBSESSED with the Burt’s bees tinted balms, especially that shade!! I even use it as cream blush in a pinch. I keep them in bags, makeup bags, etc. I’ve gotten a bunch of folks onto them over the years
Wow, I rarely comment on UA-cam videos, but this was eloquently explained. You are very articulate and this was easy to listen to. Thank you for sharing this!
Love this review! I have tried so many different lip products but if someone who likes a very light lip I always go back to black honey. I love that I can just do one sheer swipe or build it up and I just haven't found anything else that has that perfect tone for my skin.
Oh yay I'm so happy to hear a review on the elf sheer balm (the first elf one mentioned!) I have it in a red colour and it reminds me of the glossier generation g! Edit: I finished your video and saw you said it reminds you of the generation g too! 🙌 And for a 1/4 of the price 🎉
Another possible dupe to try is Mineral Fusion Sheer Moisture Lip Tint in the shade Adorn. Nice brownish red and a very moisturizing formula. Cruelty free as well!
That was quite helpful. The dark honey lipstick looks so dark in the tube, but a thin layer on your lips looks like the perfect shade of rose I've been looking for. However I don't think I would spend the extra money on a Clinque lipstick because the way you describe the differences in texture between products makes me realize that the way one makes my lips feel is actually the number one reason why I would want to wear it. I already have and use that exact burt's bees lip balm although it is not the precise shade of rose (or plum?) I obsess over, it looks good anyway and I just like the way it feels.
I've been a fan of Burt's Bees Red Dahlia for ages now, it's the perfect product for someone like me who doesn't like to wear makeup but doesn't want to look dead all the time. It also perfectly matches Kat Von D Lolita 2, so it saves trips to the bathroom to re-apply real lipstick throughout the evening.
Ever since this video came out I’ve been on the hunt for the ELF black cherry one and haven’t had any luck !! 😢😢😢😢 I think now everyone’s caught up on this Clinique alternative to black honey …. I hope I find it somewhere cause I think it’s such a unique shade for fall !! 😊😊😊
I totally agree. The ELF Black Cherry lipstick is superior, especially for dry lips. It's a lot more comfortable. It also doesn't take as long to build up. Nivea Blackberry is beautiful and smells like heaven, but it's much more purple than Black Honey.
Actually y'all, if you want a product that is similar (not an exact dupe) but as a much more glossy finish (if that's your vibe) go for the Chapstick Lip Oil in Plum. It has more red than plum, and maayyybe a touch of brown. Super flattering, just as flattering as Black Honey, and hydrating and glossy if that's your jam
Loved these options. I have always loved Black Honey, but when my lips were really chapped, I loved Lip Smacker Dr Pepper! I’ve used it for 15+ years and now it’s gone. So I’ll be checking out some of these for when I’m not using my Black Honey. I’m the same, I want a smooth look and a nice moisturized feel.
The Lip Smackers Disney formula is even better than their cola formula. If they had pigment, they’d be perfect. They last really long on the lips, too. I’ve probably finished over a dozen tubes since I found that formula.
I got some questions about my eye look- would happy to do a tutorial if you all are interested! It's this palette from Revlon- also super affordable!! shop-links.co/cfIKyhDB4wV Let me know if you'd like to see that :) *affiliate linked* Thank you guys so much for all the support on this video!

And it's very moisturizing on the lips.
you should create a series of "do you actually need" :)
oooh I like this idea!!
@@AmandaZ I'd binge watch!
Amanda your color descriptions are always so spot on! I’ve been loving this on and off for years💕
Amanda, also try the Elf Sheer Slick Lipstick in Orange if you haven’t already. It’s a very neutral, everyday orange!
Thanks for your honest review!
color is so pretty but the formula completely dries out my lips and i really dislike it for that!
The revlon glass shine lipsticks are also a similar formula to these products! I love them.
The Black Cherry one is a dupe for Black Honey
Like many previous commentators I wore Black Honey initially in the 1970s.
My newer more glamorous version is Givenchy Rouge Interdit Vinyl in Noir Revelator. It’s a beautiful formula for dry lips and much closer to the colour and texture of the original Clinique Black Honey💜❤️🖤
Chapstick brand hydration in the shade Merlot is also (what I honestly think is better)an alternative for the Clinique.
I’ve been trying to dupe this for literally decades…Clinique has tried discontinuing it several times over the years!
I’m glad the younger folks are bringing it back in fashion!
A few dupes (or dupe adjacent) in my collection:
Revlon’s Shine lipstick in Rum Raisin is very, very close (Black Cherry might be close depending on your natural lip color)
NYX Butter Gloss in Rocky Road (Cranberry Pie and Devil’s Food cake are close but a little less brown)
Burt’s Bees Fig Lip Shimmer (very, very similar color, but has some shimmer. I like it a lot, actually.)
Discontinued, but if you still have it around:
Revlon Lip Butter in Fig Jam (very, very close) and
Wet and Wild Balm Stain in Truffle in Paradise (applied with a light hand/blotted)
Clearly, I have plenty of Black Honey-esque products for now (plus a slightly used tube of the real stuff)…but if I see some of these other ones around (especially if they go on sale!) I might just have to get back ups for my back ups. LOL.
Seeing people in their 60’s say they remember this shade in high school is blowing my mind. I thought I was ahead of the game by knowing about it in 2010 lol
Oh boy the Elf core lip are a staple to me especially the happy shade. The most affordable Sophistication you can get.
Clinique’s Black Honey lipstick was my first “fancy” (i.e not drug store) make up purchase, back in the mid nineties. I loved it then. I still love it. I think it looks good on EVERYBODY! I would definitely recommend it to every young lady starting out with makeup.
just ordered it on ulta and its gonna be my first on-drug store product too lmao
@@washambiswimp714 how exciting! 💋💋💋
My favorite dupe for the black honey color but with a better texture and moisturization is Lanolips balm in Spice, it's excellent!
You're the number one person I trust on lip products. As a fellow dry lip person, any product I've tried that you have talked about has been spot on. Thank you so much.
I love the muted brownish red color in these, it's the color vibe I was searching for without knowing it.
That shade is stunning with your hair color and skin tone!
Thank you Laura!!!
Oh my gosh this is so funny. I tried Black Honey probably 13-15 years ago when I was first trying makeup and loved. I don't buy from Clinique anymore but it definitely a type of product that deserves its moment again.
Totally agree! I love the idea of universally flattering lip products that still have a unique shade ✨
I used to love the Lip Smackers Dr. Pepper lip balm- until they changed the formula. It has barely any pigment now.
Omg this was my holy Grail lipstick too!!
my grandmother used this, the scent if clinique reminds me of her. i kept the last one she owned before she passed and it’s in the previous green packaging. now i use it on a daily basis, i love it
I recommend NARS afterglow lip balm in the shade Wicked Ways. I own both that and Black Honey, and they look incredibly similar, but the NARS one does not cling to dryness like Black Honey does.
oooh! good to know
I own Black Honey & a bunch of those other similar tinted balms.
Doesn't it give you oily cheeks?
@@sweetLemonist, Nope. Not more than anything else, and I have oily skin. I just make sure to pat it into the skin well and spray my face with setting spray (a spray that incorporates kaolin clay does wonders on my complexion).
I do just that! I hate powdered blushes and I actually like that it's just a bit siny on the cheeks.
The Dr. Pepper lip smacker was the only one that left a little color on your lips. I remember I had one of the big sized ones.
OMG THANK YOU! I live in Germany and actually bought Black Honey years ago on a vacation but the German Clinique site doesn’t sell it for some reason. I am so scared to run out so this is perfect!
Lookfantastic usually carries black honey, that’s where I got mine. It’s just out of stock atm but it’ll come back
can't believe not a single person mentioned any of the Just a Tint lippies from Colourpop! no similar shades or what? never had black honey
I have every single one of these, and I agree 100% that the 1st ELF one is the best! But I wear all of them!
Favorite "don't have to look in the mirror products" may be a cool idea for a video haha
Black Honey is one of my all time faves!! My grandma was a Clinique gal and would give me the little mini free gift size of it when she went to the Clinique counter!
thats so sweet!!
Your grandma must have been a fabulous babe, getting you started with the good stuff. 👏👏👏
You are my go to makeup journalist! I use your videos in my journalism class to demonstrate objective reporting. Good work.
Black Honey catches on all dry patches on my lips and isn't the most moisturising tinted balm-type lip product. Nice shade, the formula is meh 🤷🏻♀️
Had the same experience with picking up the dry patches! My chronically dry lips are like 😔
Just got the ELF one, alongside another colour called "golden pear". Excited for both!
I love Red Dahlia by Burt's Bees! I am probably on my 7th/8th tube. It is my most used product when I feel I need something on the lips without wanting colour. I have constant dry lips and and therefore texture is something that is an issue for me.
Burt's bees red dahlia was the cause of my dry lips.
It also gives that natural sheer finish and costs only around 7$, without any promotion, so I recommend to check it out😉
Perfect timing! I was looking for a comparison/review on Black Honey! Going to pick up the Elf recommendation!❤❤❤
Surprised to find it on Ulta for only $5.00!
omg just recently discovered the Burts bees tinted balms and they're my ultimate favorite now. all of the shades are beautiful and so moisturizing!
yes to sugared fig- LOVE that balm so so much!
I very much appreciate you swatching in natural light as well as the variety in your comparison swatches! Thank you 👍🏻
Really needed this video before I "wasted" my money on "honey." After a disaster with regular lipstick on my thin irregular shaped lips, I realized the color and texture of this balm is the most flattering way to go.
I appreciate your comments on not taking dupes lightly. I hate getting a dupe thinking it’s a duplicate and it’s Not!!
I am OBSESSED with the Burt’s bees tinted balms, especially that shade!! I even use it as cream blush in a pinch. I keep them in bags, makeup bags, etc. I’ve gotten a bunch of folks onto them over the years
Mine has zero pigment. It’s crazy.
Wow, I rarely comment on UA-cam videos, but this was eloquently explained. You are very articulate and this was easy to listen to. Thank you for sharing this!
Thank you so much ❤️
*Amanda, PLEASE tell me what the beautiful product/products on your eyes??*
The way I have been LOOKING for this video thank you so much Amanda :,)
That lipstick shade has been around for ages and its still popular. Timeless! Ive always loved that look, its definitely easily dupable.
Hehe I bought black Cherry as a dupe and I love it 🥰
Love this review! I have tried so many different lip products but if someone who likes a very light lip I always go back to black honey. I love that I can just do one sheer swipe or build it up and I just haven't found anything else that has that perfect tone for my skin.
I have loved Black Honey for more than twenty years. It’s a fabulous color.
I've always like the black honey color, but I tend to buy the burt's bees red dahlia because it looks more natural on me
Another possible dupe to try is Mineral Fusion Sheer Moisture Lip Tint in the shade Adorn.
The lighting in your videos is perfect for try on. I feel like I can actually see what the product looks like. Thank you.
Thank you so much !! I always try to shoot my demos in front of natural light :)
I got the black honey/pink honey mini duo for $10 at Sephora last Christmas. I love minis.
Ever since this video came out I’ve been on the hunt for the ELF black cherry one and haven’t had any luck !! 😢😢😢😢
I think now everyone’s caught up on this Clinique alternative to black honey …. I hope I find it somewhere cause I think it’s such a unique shade for fall !! 😊😊😊
Please do makeup tutorial on this eye look its absolutely gorgeous and can you mention a an affordable dube for this eyeshadow ❤❤
Loved this video! Excited to see more of this kind of content. It was so helpful! 🌟
I totally agree. The ELF Black Cherry lipstick is superior, especially for dry lips. It's a lot more comfortable. It also doesn't take as long to build up.
Nivea Blackberry is beautiful and smells like heaven, but it's much more purple than Black Honey.
Another dupe is the Sephora Lipstories balm in the shade “Are You Jealous?”!
I would love to see a tutorial on the eye look in this video. It's Gorgeous!
Also, can't wait to try the ELF version of lip gloss.
I've never loved opaque lip products - I loved that old clinique formula!
Check out ELF lip tint in Perfect Berry. A little more purple, but very pretty.
Red dahlia is my favorite lip balm ever ! The color is so nice and unique
Back in my day, it came in a pot, and it seemed like everyone wore it in the late 70’s to mid 80’s. What a blast from the past for me.
I think you would really like the Neutrogena revitalizing lip balm in Fresh Plum! (and as a bonus it contains SPF and smells like bananas :) )
Thank you I'm trying it
Bananas???? I’m trying it!
Burts Bees is so underrated! Loved their balms for years 😍
