- I just took delivery of my 2023 Tesla Model S Plaid that's equipped with Hardware 4. This video is a walkthrough of all the New additions and Improvements to the Tesla Model S, my vehicles specifications like the Yoke, Full Self Driving (FSD) and much more.
This is not my first Tesla as I've had a Model 3 before and comparing the two has been interesting!

I have an SR+ Model 3 and even after all the time I’ve owned it, I still smile and get excited when accelerating. That’s with 300hp. I can’t even imagine 1,020hp in the S Plaid 😂

Congrats on your new Plaid. Just picked my S long range a couple of weeks ago in the new ultra red. I had a Model Y Long-range and a Model Y Performance in white on white, so I needed a change, especially on the free ultra red color. Enjoy.

Took Delivery of my 2023 MYP month ago. My 2nd Tesla since 2018 stand in line Model 3 LR RWD. There were no issues on both cars. My MYP was perfect. I think people need to also state for every issue that is noted about a Tesla other manufacturers have the same problems. The days about bad paint and panel gaps and bad delivery issues are mostly resolved and if there is a problem Tesla will resolve it. Just note it.
Agreed, my 2022 Ford Raptor had paint issues, software issues (still does), sound system quality is trash, phone calls drop randomly often and the list continues. Every manufacturer has issues, but it looks like Tesla is really trying to provide quality.
I too picked up a white on white on Sunday. The build quality is significantly better than my 2019 Model 3. However, there was excessive paint (to the point it dimpled) on the driver's side fender. Other than that, I noticed a piece of rubber sticking from under the driver's side mirror and a few pinpoint chips on the trunk. Interestingly enough, they didn't let me into the car to inspect until I hit "accept delivery".
Very interesting!! They let me inspect mine way before I hit delivery on the app! What state are you in? Yes there are a few minor things wrong with mine but nothing crazy, I’ve noticed mine vibrates ever so slightly at 90+ MPH. The steering wheel isn’t completely smooth there is a slight vibration or in other words the steering wheel almost slightly moving back and fourth at high speeds. As well as a few minor things such as my charge port door being not aligned properly. Other than that I love the plaid!!
Is the Model S built at the same plant as the Model 3 that has the same Quality Control issues? There’s no excuse for these problems to continue, especially when they cost this much.
The plaid has different brake pads. It's listed on the ordering page.
My 2021 screen doesn’t tilt. I think the ability to move the screen started in mid-2022. Mine has 37k miles and I’ve had zero issues. You got your car with more features for about $40k less than us early purchasers so enjoy it. 🍻

Picking mine up tomorrow. White on black with the stock 19” wheels though. PPF and ceramic coat appointment Monday. Your tint looks good, might have to do that next week too.

I'm not an engineer however I feel the VISION ONLY won't get us to FULL SELF DRIVING. My FSD is always having issues when there's slight rain..bright sun...or other conditions. But I hope they prove me wrong...!!!
Congratulations! Beautiful Tesla! Very curious to know your thoughts on the yoke steering wheel. Also if you have any pushback with repairing the panel gaps, etc?
Haven’t scheduled the appt for the panel gaps yet. Charging port door and trunk are crooked but will need to do something about it soon!
I am a big fan of the Yoke and didn’t have any trouble adjusting.

@@AustinZaback Awesome! Thanks for responding! I'm still debating on the yoke. I like it, but I'm just curious about how it feels when driving compared to the regular steering wheel. We'll see! Looking forward to your experience with Tesla and the panel gaps. They're probably used to it by now!

I have a delivery coming up in 2 weeks! I'm thinking if I should wait though for the 24' model? What's your thoughts on that?
Great question! I haven’t seen much on the 2024 but from what I have heard in 2024 there won’t be much change at all on the Model S! I think they are focusing on the Cyber Truck and a few new models right now
At this point, I’d wait for the 2024s. Tesla typically starts making the next model year cars in late November or December. There might not be any changes but it’s probably still worth just waiting another month or two.

GREAT VIDEO! THE 2023 MODEL S LR also has that ability to tilt the screen! I have a 2021 Tesla Model 3 however I just test-drove the 2023 S LR so yea I'm about to get one too.

The tilt screen was added in the 3rd refresh. As a suggestion from a previous tesla owner, please wrap the front end of your car with PPF and include the last part of the rear passenger doors and the rear quarter panels to prevent rock chips from the wide tires. I also put mud flaps..

The refresh-refresh 2022 model s has the tilted screen. This is where the headlights and tail lights were updated from the 2021 refresh model s

Man, the only thing holding me back is that the center horn is still nowhere to be found unlike on the new Model 3
It’s there now - on yoke and wheel. I was just at Tesla yesterday but be mindful buying one in stock as it could be a 23/ not have center horn.
"I hate the front license plate holder, why do they do that" ... ahm, because in many countries, i.e. in Europe, it is MANDATORY to have the license plates in the front as well?
😂I actually like the front license plate holder on the Tesla Model S. Front license is required in California and many other states. I have front license plates on all my cars except my 2007 ZO6 Corvette. I have had it since 2007 and live in California and have driven it across the country several times. Have not gotten stopped in California but did get a ticket in Iowa a few years ago for no front license. Cost $110. I also have owned a 427 Cobra since 1968. It has a front license that folds down at speed. Was stopped twice, for no front license, on our honeymoon in 1970 driving from LA to Tahoe and back. It pops back up when you slow down and I didn't get a ticket as it came from the factory that way. It's funny that's the only times I have been stopped for no front license in 55 years and about 75,000 miles.

This has to do with the 21 inch wheels needing a camber adjustment
This guy confidently say things he's not sure of. There's absolutely no way to differentiate between old camera lens from the new gen 4. I have a 2022 MS with radar and apparently, the old lens and also a week old brand new MX in my garage that has tesla vision with no radar and apparently has the new camera. Both lens' appature are of equal sizes and have the red dots😅
