Hiya, Thanks for this video. I have a Kaoko Throttle Lock which was already fitted to my NC when I bought it so it was really useful to see you fit yours so I now know how mine should be, mine is a bit loose so was useful to see that they include a spacer wrap. I will have to check mine. Thank You.
Thanks for this. I have a CB500X and have tried a couple of alternatives but this Kaoko unit looks much better to use. Your videos have started me thinking about moving to the 750, once this dreaded Covid-19 is sorted. How are you now finding the 750 as a touring bike, as opposed to a commuter? I live in a regional city of NSW and use my bike for local shorter rides but plan to do some longer (200-300km) rides in the bush.
Yea for touring you will find the 750x a huge upgrade. At motorway suited the engine is very relaxed doing 70mph at 3500rpm, the tank storage compartment is very handy, and comes with tank bag clips. Bear in mind the rear seat houses the tank filler but change the screen and the seat and yes it is a very good tourer. 😉👍
It's too bad that they only make these for a few different bikes and not for a Honda Grom and others. One would think they could make it universal for say 7/8 inch handle bars which is very common.
exeter rider I got it but I can’t get it to slip into the throttle. Did you have to remove anything from inside the throttle besides the rubber washer? What year model is your nc750x?
Interesting video, I like the idea of this and have some long journeys planned where this would be fantastic as I get numb and tingly fingers after a while of riding, but I have the Honda OEM hand guards fitted so guessing it wouldn’t work very well as the guards block access to the throttle lock, so I’m going to have to look for other options
Hi Rob, zoom into the instructions at the end. I am pretty sure they have a section that shows how to fit this with hand guards. If you can make it work it really is a good viable, non intrusive option. Thanks for the comment👍🍻
At 3:20 you move to the bike - but you've already removed the bar weight and the handlebar insert. Would have been beneficial to see how the handlebar insert came out. I'm having quite the time trying to get mine out of my NC750X.
Can we agree on that if your hand is tired after 1-2 hours of riding .. and you feel the need for this lock .. then most likely the rest of your body is also tired .. like legs arms etc .. even head .. so perhaps pull over and take a break ? .. it`s ofc just an idea, but automatic gear .. cruise control .. kinda takes the biking experience out of it dont it ?
if you google search ' Oxford Cruise - Throttle Assist ' this is one made by motorbike accessories giant Oxford, tho you can get them cheaper for unbranded ones on eBay that work the same.
@@exeterrider same reason you replaced the one in the video? Change a worn grip? Great video! You showed the actual use of the grip. Old BMW's came stock with a grip that stayed put. I'm very used to that and bought a new to me bike without it. I thought you had to fiddle with this gizmo every single time but I see it's just a simple friction lock. Thank you for taking the time to post this. Will be buying now.
I an justcurious if you coulx ever remove that bar end if you nned to. The damn thread lock must be put only one drop on the bolt thread only, you genius!
I don’t like it, it’s a pain in the rear to use.I prefer A million times more the ATLAS one. Ot the BreakAway for a cruiser. To engage you press a button and to disengage you press another button and it’s done. Also, you can roll on and off the throttle while the devices are engaged. They do NOT lock the throttle in place, they only provide friction to hold where you want it. But in case of a panic stop you roll off the throttle simple by turning the throttle off. Which does not take a lot of force to do. This pinky rolling and and unrolling does not work for me.
@@exeterrider In the 90s I had a BMW r80rt, and that had a simple screw on the throttle that you could tighten up and use as a crude form of cruise control. It was great on motorways.

Thanks for the explanation of how it works. Seems a lot safer now that I understand how it interacts with the throttle 👍
My pleasure, thanks for watching.
I've using my Daughters hairband for years, didn't cost anything and it's a 5 second fit, works a treat
Interesting, I'm just trying to work out how you done it....I could have saved 100 quid!!

Looks to be incredibly easy to install, and rather useful on any ride longer than a few minutes. Thanks for the great video!
Yeap , even at 30 its nice to give your arms a rest sometimes.
I'd love to have this. Broke my wrist a few years back, and I still get pain on long rides. This would allow me to relax my hand for a little bit
It will for sure. For that reason I highly recommend it! 👍🍻

Yes. Your right. I didn't have the guts to cut it back tbh. Seems OK but yes it would be better cut back. Thanks for watching 👍📺
I generally don't do mods but that easy install for a handy item is great.
Me neither really Louis, this one is easy to do as long as you can get your old bar end off the rest is easy.
Well done video, thank you for taking the time! Would like one for my NC700X but also looking at Bark Buster Blizzards too.
Both good options bud👍

Yes it needs the spacer for sure mate, hopfully its on there if not....Thread lock it up : )
Appreciate the video it helped me
Thanks Davy...I have another vid coming soon on this one : )
Actually looks easier than cruise control. Good stuff!
That’s a nifty bit of kit. Especially good if you do a lot of motorway/dual carriageway.

Not sure, But yes I think it could do !

I felt no difference.

Hi, it should go in too loosely if anything. I have a 2017 but they all have the same bars. Have they sent you the wrong one perhaps?
exeter rider I don’t know. Did you have to remove this on the install: ua-cam.com/video/HjmyQBiEHac/v-deo.html
Nice video. Do you not like Hondas orginal mirrors?
I needed folding ones for getting the bike in the garage.
@@exeterrider Aha i understand. Now when you told me i perhaps also need them because of the same problem. Thanks.
What is the modell?
Good question I bought them 8 years ago on ebay, sorry I can't remember now.

Hey up mate, yes I had to remove it, easy enough though.
I have one on the bmw now too. 👍
Hi mate sorry bit late to the party one this video but would this still fit with the bark busters on as well .
Rolley :)

Does it work when you have motogadgets turnsignals on the steeringend?
In most cases yes, but in some cases not!

Do you know if this would fit the new Honda Forza 750 DCT scooter? Kaoko don’t list one as yet.
I don't know to be honest sorry.

I dont know Paul TBh, perhaps send them a mail

hi will kaoko throttle lock fit my honda cb 500x 2015 thanks

Hi where can I buy koako throttle lock for Honda nc 750x in South Africa
I wouldn't know tbh, I think they sell them on amazon and Ebay as well 🍻👍
Can you still instal this if you have heated grips installed? Would it make a difference?
I Jane factory gross on mine and its OK but will vary bike to bike.
salve, è disponibile questo attrezzo per il modello NC750X 2021? si può aggiungere anche i paramani?
I'm sorry I dont know but probably not.
Hi. What’s the additional stuff on your throttle? Looks spoonish-like.
Its a cramp buster Enrique, makes hold in throttle in place for long periods more bearable.

Hi! How does this device fit in with hand guards?
I don't know tbh, infact it may not fit at all 👍🍻
Can the hand covers be fitted alongside it ?
No they can't in most cases.
Nice review - wish I could get one but I have barkbuster hand grip protection covers :-(
In some cases I think this can be fitted on top of them.
Thank you for Mach
👍🍻🙏📹
How’re you gonna get it out now you glued it ?
You could still undo the bolt, and break the threadlock (which isn't like glue). But why would I need to get it out?
