Export Series now incorporates Pearl's S.S.T. Superior Shell Technology, Opti-Loc tom mounts, all-new 830 Series Hardware with a P-930 Demonator Pedal, and a choice of five amazing stocking finishes.
Further emphasizing Pearl's "sound first" philosophy are the new lugs specifically designed for Export with sound-enhancement in mind. Designed for minimal shell interaction, they have a small footprint and low-mass for maximum resonance and sustain. Their bold look is modern but with a nod to lugs from Pearl's past.
Export rack toms are equipped with Pearl's new Opti-Loc Mounting System that features a triangular design with two tension rod attachment points and another through one of the drum's two air vents. Rubber isolators at all connection points allow the drums to vibrate freely for maximum sustain and resonance while providing absolute and wobble-free performance.

I use these as my practice drumset. Put my mesh heads with my low volume cymbals, I love it.

Nice. Goes to show if you know how to tune and play you don't need to spend an arm and a leg.
Good bread and butter, or second or gigging kit.
The only problem is the market is flooded with second hand Exports and don’t hold their value.

Pinstripes for the toms, Powerstroke ‘77 for the snare, and a Powerstroke 3 for the kick. That’s what I have on my DW Design Series kit.
@@davidmcaninch4714 nice! I'm more of a metal drummer, so I use evens ec2, for bass drum got a emad heavyweight, and got rid of the whole snare got a pearl master snare.
I have owned 5 pearl kits and found the export garbage. Anything pre 1986 especially.

Fucking troll i bet you haven't even so much as picked up a drum stick let alone played the shit and that is very evident by comment you made the export is a very good kit its a mid grade series and very worth its price and for the money you are not going to beat the sound or build quality. The second thing that made it very evident is the lack of response to the reply on your comment because a competent and confident drummer would have been more than happy to say which of the "5" pearl sets they have owned tickled their fancy the most. But me personally i want to know all 5 you have owned and yes also witch of the 5 you personally thought was best and why. Dont worry ill wait
