That would be something that would be more beneficial to someone who has the proper test equipment to make the necessary changes to the radio. Without test equipment going in and moving settings is definitely not recommended.

It is 2.9 kHz. Since this radio is being sold as a 12 and 10 amateur radio the American FCC 2.0 kHz FM Deviation CB standard (26.965-27.405 MHz) does not apply. I can't speak for all American CB operators, but I will say it surely seems most are not satisfied with standard FCC type accepted CB radios. AM is the dominant mode for CB (26.965-27.405 MHz) in America. SSB is very popular, but I can only assume there are large parts of America where AM is the only mode being used. 10 meter FM is alive and well here. 4 kHz FM deviation is preferable for Amateur radio. 73

@@mm555nc9 Unfortunately many don't understand how power in relationship to frequency works. When your radio is over ridding frequency's beyond +6 kHz of the AM TX passband what happens? Tthe power is wasted. This makes the meter very 😊 😁 Don't like it? Switch to Full Duty Cycle FM. Your amplifier will work better on FM. Your power meter will still be 😁😊 on FM.
