I have about nine 10 meter transceivers which are modified for 11 meter but nowadays I mainly use my President Washington 11 meter modified 10 meter radio. I use it together with my K-PO DG503 MAX SWR and POWER meter. Thanks for the review ERIK 73's from the Netherlands (19DCG187) Dutch CB Group
Your CB and radio videos in general are what got me back into CB 6 or 7 years ago. I've been slacking and have missed your live streams for the past few years and miss that. Any idea when your next one will be?
@@FarpointFarmsLooking forward to it. Until then I'll just keep learning from your vids. Every time I'm in my pickup I'm listening for you. I know the odds are against the skip being just right for us to connect, but I did speak to Mower Junkie once, so I guess it's possible! If you ever hear 146 from Western MA, it's me.
The audio accessorie i think is for the bt mic ntw to covert the 11meter its easy you move a pin over on the board inside and hold a couple of buttons down and select the band.
Keep the uploads coming will maybe make that QSO one day up here in Scotland , you still work your A99 ? I’ve just upgraded too the Sirio 827 . All the best
Was waiting for you to get this one. :) Love mine. Fans haven't even needed to come on yet. Down for a while now. Waiting for antenna parts. This is a great radio. Oh, The accessory has a bluetooth mic option for driving hands free.
Congrats on the washington erik i reached out to them and they wont even consider me to showcase any of their products on my you tube page. Thanks again for the videos and hope you and jenn are doing well
Oh hey, AMT Enterprise model! I've put together at least 3 over my lifetime. I see an assembled retrofit model too. I just started the video and wondering how it differs from the Lincoln II?+
Both are really nice radios with similar features, but the Washington has a few extras and I like the layout a lot more than on the Lincoln. I've recently started doing models again after many years and picked this one up at a yard sale new in the box from the 80's. Can't wait to build it!
I read that the radio will also do 15 meter with a simple modification. Great radio, I wonder if the board is similar to the Anytone quad 6 pro or radioddty qt-80.
Hi, I know this might be the wrong place to ask, but I have a President Lincoln II radio and the internal speaker went bad. It works fine on external speaker. Would you happen to know what the speaker specs are and where to get a replacement for it? If not I will take it apart and try and measure it and see if there are any numbers on it. The thing has always sounded like crap. Thanks.
That a neat radio . That assery audio level is for the audio out that goes to mic jack. For like a speaker mic or a headset. like the Heil sound ones with a mic. You use VOX or PTT switch that can be a hand switch or foot pedal. Heil sound makes a great set. I use on outher radios but I have to use EXT speaker jack in back. Also if using a Digi Rig for digital modes threw mic jack the audio level is for setting level to PC . The MIC level will be audio from PC . Yes same static hear in NY and on SW bands as well. Hard to hear WMRI and WBCQ at times with all that noise. But I have DSP and that really helps. I did work Texas on CB the outher day. 38 SSB.
Got a good idea for a video for you, comparison in real tome of the lincoln 2 plus and these newer 11 meter with the ability to expand bands radios. Which ones are better fir the price?
I thought you did a review on the George FCC but could not find it. Long story short, i have a Uniden 980 in a vehicle but want to replace with a George using the same power cord ran to the battery. I have a George in another vehicle so I've looked in the manual but nowhere can i find the power cord fuse amp on the George. The Uniden 980 is a 6 amp fuse, so i wonder if they're the same I'm hoping to just unplug the 980 & plug in the George. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated !!
beautiful front refresh! and ya the bands been DEAD! all i been pickin' up is ch 8 and 9, but i don't speak Spanish. although once in awhile i pick up Jamaica on 38LSB, but real weak. hope it comes back soon. nice rig! UPDATE: Little skip out there right now (9:55am Ctrl) im at Lk Texoma, getting skip on 6, 11 and 28, and some on LSB 38 ☮
Hope you and your viewers know that 10 Meters is an amateur radio band and operation here requires a FCC Amateur Radio license. You're treating this like a CB, with channels etc and showing phone operations in the CW portion of the 10 meter band. Hope you have a FCC amateur radio license ? Doesn't take much to get one these days. Ham radio was very active after the disaster, especially the Mt Mitchell 2Meter repeater.
echo on 10 meters! thats not going to sell well, like a fart in church. this is just an over priced cb rig. your better off buying a real radio. ft-891 $675 why more radio for the money.
Omg such a nice radio. I love president radios. They have really good quality.
I agree on their quality
I love my new Washington! Great radio, thanks for the review!

Thanks for the feedback on the radio. It is good to hear from people who own them
Cool rocket radio behind you on the shelf. Gotta be 50's or very early 60's !
Good eyes to spot it
Did you forget RF output watts?
Your CB and radio videos in general are what got me back into CB 6 or 7 years ago. I've been slacking and have missed your live streams for the past few years and miss that. Any idea when your next one will be?
You are not the one slacking, I am. Life keeps getting in the way for sure, I am hoping to have one in the fall.

That radio has some nice features. I like the auto SWR...
That is a nice feature, President really thought of the user on this one
Instead of auto swr, can you do manual like old way?
The audio accessorie i think is for the bt mic ntw to covert the 11meter its easy you move a pin over on the board inside and hold a couple of buttons down and select the band.
I think I will keep mine like it is from the factory-
Have had mine for about a month now & love it . Also have the new Richard . Still like my old school radios nato 2000
Glad to hear that you love it, I love being able to use radios old and new depending on my mood

do a video and explain the diff between 10 meter, 11 meter, and 12 meter radios
Sounds like a great video idea- I will see what I can do
I would also like that.
Yup that would be a great video
That’s a nice radio. Are you gonna do the 11 meter conversion?
He probably wasn't in a rush since he has so many regular CBS But after you open it and think it's 10m 11m and 12m
@CBPunisher1900, you are correct, I have other radios to listen to on 11m
no he would never do that
Was waiting for you to get this one. :) Love mine. Fans haven't even needed to come on yet. Down for a while now. Waiting for antenna parts. This is a great radio. Oh, The accessory has a bluetooth mic option for driving hands free.
It took me a bit to get this one out, between life and the solar activity, it took a while to film.
Great review!!! Thank!!!
Thanks for watching!

Thank you for the kind words, just keep on making videos and in time you will have what they want. Good Luck to you
Any DIN radio mount brackets this radio will fit?
I am not sure, maybe someone will chime in
Very nice !
Thanks!!
Are you going to have the 11 meter band added?
Not on this one

10-12 meter radio right out of the box. 11 meters with a simple modification of moving a jumper pin.
I like the way it came out of the box.
I read that the radio will also do 15 meter with a simple modification. Great radio, I wonder if the board is similar to the Anytone quad 6 pro or radioddty qt-80.
I am not aware of that. I do know the QT can be modded to do that.

Can’t wait for the president Trump radio
I am not sure if they want to go there or not, smart companies keep out of politics.
The President Biden will fall apart on key up.
Would turning down the RF Gain help lower the noise floor?
Yes, but it also causes the actual signals to drop in strength as well.

It's a tossup between this and the new Anytone 6666 Pro for my next purchase.
They are good choices.
I'm diggin the AMT star trek model on the shelf
Thanks, I found that at an awesome antique store in PA. Who ever built it, did a fantastic job.
@@FarpointFarms I used to build models as a kid when I had time.
Channel numbers on 10-meter seems confusing to me. Is there a way to see the frequency where the channel number is normally displayed?
Yes. I can't remember how off the top of my head, but yes.
@@FarpointFarms Thank you
I´m looking for someone that has done a comparison between the New President Washington, and the Lincoln 2plus version 3
I don't think I have come across one yet. If I do, I can add a link
Walcott CB has a awesome deal on this radio, and they are known for their good tune ups.
they also have a fan upgrade, and good mics.
They do have some good radios
How is this radio compared to the Radioddity QT80?
I feel they are nearly equals in features and functions with a slight edge going to the Washington. President has some really high quality rigs.
@@FarpointFarms Thanks, I ordered a qt80 from Amazon today.
Your link does not show this radio, even after a search on Amazon.
There are other online places you can look- They must be sold out on Amazon
It’s a SO-239 connector
Thanks for the clarification
No CW ??
Guess it can't have it all

Mine showed up 3 hrs ago.
I hope you have it set up already!
President, please stop putting those USB connectors in the radio we have more than enough of them floating around
Maybe they will listen to us on that one
Rf gain meter is very odd. But very nice radio
It's like that in a few other 10 meter rigs now. I kind of like the way it looks.
nice review looks like a Chrissmas radio to me ...
Agreed
👍
Thanks
Send it to Walcot Radio for "super" tune.
I am sure many will do that, I like mine just they way it is

I agree with the echo comment, but not with the "real radio" one. This is a great radio for Ham use.
