TGV is why I bought an SKX009. It was my first "real" watch, and what kicked off my love for watches. So my wife may not thank you, but I certainly do!
Joe Joe why do females hate watches so mich
@@tylerotaniconlon1990 because u if u buy one watch, only one watch, u are going to get fucked because u will keep spending a shitton of money on watches it's literally an addiction
@RolexReplicaReview Fake watches are for fake people, just like a fake Rembrant,it may look the same but it is not!!! People with fake watches are mentaly ill people trying to flex and to look rich, but the worse thing is people who know watches will figure it out fairly easy and look at you as an idiot.
@RolexReplicaReview you wouldn't buy a fake Ferrari or a fake Phone, don't buy a fake Rolex. It's not cool, it's an insult to Rolex and people who own the real deal because it's lying to try to be something it isn't.
Skx900
The legend is true the skx gives you instant access. The Facebook guys in the group are like my family now great set of gentlemen. Very knowledgeable. We have jokes and good laughs.
Thanks TGV for another quality video. What I really like about your channel is you have all the class with none of the snobbery that too commonly plagues the horology community.
Also, glad to see you wearing the Flightmaster! That is my daily watch and I couldn't be happier with it.
Just want to say that you do such a great job. It's so clear and polite the way u treat watches, and i love them!!
6:00 Wow you certainly brought this watch back for me, I subbed because of this info, amazing stuff
Awesome video! Really glad you mentioned Vostoks! Possibly the most bang for the buck out there
I learn every day with your videos. Not only about watches. I did not know anything about Hokusai before today! Awesome!
hi TGV I've just recently started watching the channel.I love your vids.its nice to see the passion you have for all levels of watch. Not just snobbery. Thanks👍
great video man. A request: please make a video on students who are obsessed with watches but are on a tight tight budget !!! !!! As a student and a watch enthusiast but on a seriously tight budget ....You got me into buying the f91w and its steel version. Im surprised that i wear them more than my other awesome watches in my collection. I dont know whats special about it but i love wearing them !
Damn TGV, your videos are extremely addictive. I find myself filling 90% of my study breaks with them, or horological interest induced by them. Keep up the tremendous work! Cheers
Great video, as always TGV. Love the fact you threw the F-91w on that list. Probably still one of my most worn watches in the collection!
Thank you Joseph, it's the best 10 bucks I ever spent, considering the about of enjoyment I get in return, cost less then a decent meal!
Best regards,
TGV
Nice video as always ! suggestion : you should try doing video series about various brands.. for example : seiko history, most iconic pieces etc. That would be really interesting to watch !
Love the “Bullitt” score intro. Great video!
Congrats TGV for one of the best intros I ever seen in years watching UA-cam. Elegant, charming, with an adorable little dog, showing that beautiful blue Squale diver... Oh, man, you have such good taste! Great selection! What about $1000? PS: You deserve much more attention for the great content you make. Keep the excelent work!
Thank you so much Ernani, very flattered, rather speechless to be honesty, I will just thank you and tell you that your comment made my day. Great idea for $1000! Now that is VERY interesting, my brain is now buzzing with ideas,
Thanks again my friend,
Best regards,
TGV
Just wanted to say thanks for inspiring my love of watches and giving me some great ideas on a limited budget - I picked up a lovely bambino with the Roman numerals and blue hands and also a Bulova moon watch - not sure if the Bulova was your suggestion but like I say you’ve just given me a love of watches again in general so keep up the good work :)
It’s amazing how audio and video improves over the years
Thanks TGV for another great video. I've added the Max Bill to my list of must have watches. "OK. Ciao!"
I agree. Junghans definitely is underrated
another great video, my favourite is the Seiko SKX, such a beautiful watch to wear in all seasons.
Great review, really like how you cover a wide price range from seiko to casio, etc. Thanks!
Love your channel man, keep up the great work!
My SKX is always in my rotation ⌚️
I had no idea of the story behind the Junghans. The design is not something I'm drawn to personally, but I'm glad it's out there and very affordable. Great video!
Hello again! I was quite inspired and dazzled by the Bulova Spaceview and made an acquisition, it's an M7 in great condition. Your videos are really making me trigger happy...it's getting expensive and soon I'll have empty pockets...ahaha, but it's all well worth it! Thank you. Take care!
Great choices, especially on the Spaceview. I own two -- an original and a conversion and they are pretty much almost indistinguishable. A Max Bill is now on the short list!
Perfext timing TGV, I just got a promotion and wanted to reward myself with a watch in this price range. I already own a SKX007, and have been focused on the Hamilton Khaki, I must say Im surprised it didnt make your list.
I'm disappointed you didn't get a good audio for us to hear the Bulova tuning fork! I remember these from back in the day. People were kind of amazed by the totally smooth sweep of the second hand... now 60 years later, we've come full circle with the Grand Seiko Spring Drive- another variation of the quartz movement, which again is iconic for its smooth sweep second hand.
I'm glad you mentioned the Bulova Accutron Spaceview 214. Awesome
Interesting channel. Just happened upon it while I was surfing sites about Omega watches. I'm learning so much. :D
I think the junghans are dope
Bauhaus minamalness is cool
One of the best watches ever made. The NOMOS Tangente is better but more than double the price
I agree. Pretty cool watch
Great video, Tristano. Thanks so much.
Best wishes from SPAIN!.
excellent choices TGV, liked them all... keep the good work, cheers!!!
Thank you H, VERY glad to hear.
Best regards,
TGV
You've been enjoying the smart jackets recently Tristiano, another great video. Regards
Awesome watches and awesome video TGV.
I wanted to thank you for amazing watch test, after your videos I have decide to get a watch and started with Sarb 033 again from your video, it is gorges
All nice, and some nice new ones I'll be looking at! I have the SKX007 personally, and was looking at the Junhans recently (but decided on the Bauhaus Junkers instead... I know it's not as iconic, but I actually liked the styling.)
One of my favorite watches, is the one you are wearing in this video. I bought it in 2005, and it's still running great, if a little beat up, but that just shows it was worn. 🙂
Great video as usual TGV, keep them up.
Thank you Louie, very kind. Sooooooo much more to come ;-)
Best regards,
TGV
Enjoyed that, thank you TGV :D
Damn ! Subscriber count went up like crazy, Just a while ago it was 40.000. Nice job TGV
Thank you Alexandru, it must of been a while ago but very glad to have you back!
Best regards,
TGV
Thanks for the great advice tgv, I’m thinking of buying a junghans max bill thanks to this vid
Keep of the great vids!!
Had 2 of them as a kid, Casio F91W and the Casio Calculator watch, just needed the 80's Swatch Watch in the list to complete my childhood trio.
Well done, TGV. And you are looking quite dapper!
Thank you Arthur, too kind.
Sorry its taking a while longer with the old Max Bill, had to do another video with it ;-)
Best regards,
TGV
No problem Tristano. If it';s more convenient for you, you can wait until after the holidays to send back the Junghans. (unless you know of a buyer) ;)
After this vid i had to subscribe. Great channel. Just pulled the trigger on a 1966 Accutron box and papers for $395US and Casio CA-50 box and papers $200CAN. THANKS
I love the "Bullitt" Soundtrack!
Paused at around 3'43" just to say that I have an skx007. Everytime I watch your channel I feel proud that I have one. Plus It was on two bond films... nothing against Mr. Redford but 007... common...
Thanks for mentioning the face sizes of the different Seiko SKX watches! I have skinny wrists so I tend to shy away from anything too bulky. The 39mm SKX013 sounds like it would be a good fit for me so I will have to look for one.
I would love to hear your thoughts on considerations and recommendations for watch enthusiasts who have skinny wrists (~6" diameter) in terms of both of aesthetics and practicality. The 36-39mm range seems to be the sweet spot for me.
Hi TGV, what about bulova moon watch? Its a solution to those who wants a speedy with a same historical background, but cannot afford it. It is a bit large for your wrist, but I'd love to see a review here on your channel.
What a great video TGV, found it to be interesting.
So glad, thank you Bob,
Best regards,
TGV
I just bought my new DW 5600MS1 Thankyou for the review on this.
I'm glad to have two of these watches mentioned here in my collection. I'm looking to expand away!
I had one of those casios. Found in the back of a drawer few years ago. I figured the battery lasted 12 years
You're awesome :) i watched every film on your channel and i like your knowledge and family inspiration of your Grandfather :)
Great list going to check out Junghans
Thank you Josh,
Best regards,
TGV
Today I've been with my wife to our X-Mas brunch and I was wearing my SKX which went great with a Polo. But somehow the topic of me not having a real dresswatch came up. On our walk home we went watch window shopping and instantly my wife stopped at the Junghans Max Bill watches in the window-display and made the sweet remark, that I should add one of these to the collection 😀
Very great video. My favorite watches in this price range are the Junkers Bauhaus.:)
Not only are the things you share interesting, you are also an amical bloke, just easygoing and enjoyable
Thank you so much, very kind of you to say.
Best regards,
TGV
Very welcome sir and deserved. Goes to show there is no reason to ask people to like and subscribe at all is there, when a person is simply doing what he enjoyes. My ex gf might like this as well. Greets from the Netherlands
Never heard of Junghans before, but it looks amazing!
Hi tgv great vid a superb selection for the price range love it , hope sll is well with you and yours, ONWARDS AND UPWARDS your friend Ryan.
Thank you Ryan, just popped on to post a new video. All is well thank you, how about you?
Miss being in blighty for xmas :-/
Best regards,
TGV
I really enjoyed your channel.
Lovely video mate. I was considering the Spaceview, but the prices are climbing, (thanks to you 😉). I have been looking at the Accutron II Alpha. Just for something different. Thoughts?
Anyway, cheers ta
This is by far your best intro.
With my latest acquisition, the Bulova Accutron, now I own 3 of your list, the skx pepsi, casio F91w and Accutron space view!
Awesome. I have the discontinued blue white SNA413. I love that timepiece.
I owned my Spaceview for you for 50 years. I have multiple watches now including some fine Swiss autos. My Accutron still brings me more joy than any watcher I own.
Love your choices in this video.
wrist watch check before I comment. wearing my Breitling Crosswind.... I love The Bishop version of the Giugiaro.... the black really adds nice to anything I may be wearing wether I am causal or dressed .
Cheers from Philadelphia!
Brian
Really liking the attire in this video and the past couple. Keeping it classy! Cheers sir and thanks for an excellent review. Just picked up an amazing bang for buck zenith rainbow submariner. I feel you would love it at 39mm and 9.6mm thick. Cheers
Thank you so much :D
Very kind of you to say and massive congrats on the Zenith!!! STUNNING choice, enjoy.
Best regards,
TGV
Hamilton Khaki Field Officer manual wind 38mm is the perfect first watch for young guys wanting to get into horology . Eta manual wind . You get to wind it every morning before you head out the door and will form an attachment to your watch .
The best 235.00 you can spend on a watch at this time .
SPOT ON. Had it been top 10, that would of been number 6. Excellent choice,
Thank you,
Best regards,
TGV
Junghans's max bill watch was under appreciated and forgotten...and then tgv made this video.
Your Affordable Classic videos hooked me! Have to say the SKX and my Accutron (the Astronaut) give me as much pleasure as other acquisitions costing much more.
OMG I adore the Astronaut, I was trying to get one on eBay a while ago. Excellent choices Eric, enjoy!
Thank you,
Best regards,
TGV
Much like a 7-year-old with his toys in front of the TV, I ran to put on the Astronaut midway through this vid.
Great vid, ty , love your enthousiasm!
Thank you :D
Best regards,
TGV
Thanks to you i now am a watch guy! Just bought an orient star Classic and the great skx 007! I just love them!
Very glad to hear my friend, enjoy!
Best regards,
TGV
Hi TGV
Great respect to your attitude; that there should be a great/iconic watch for everyone, regardless of prices. And there surely are!
I have seen this it go wrong so many times in magazines and sites about other things, like cars, fashion or hi-fi. You can easily be seduced by the newest technology's and the highest levels of quality, which is very understandable for an expert in a given field. And suddenly you are only focusing on this. The problem is that these qualities of cause mostly comes from the most established (-and most expensive) manufactures. As a result you loose contact with most of your viewers/readers in the long run.
Of cause the highest levels of quality and the most innovative technology's is a field that should be covered too. No problem with that. I just want to compliment you for your non-snobbish attitude.
What a fine selection of great watches this is👍
Thanks very much you are always good Recommendations!!
Glad to finally see a watch specialist who isn't scared to talk about digitals and Accutrons...two of my favs, Kudos!
So glad to hear, thank you for saying that. It inspires me greatly to carry on.
Best regards,
TGV
Amazing show T. I have been watching lots of yo ur episodes and for now I have decided to get for my personal collection the Tisso t Le Locle, the Frederique Constant persuasion classic moon, and last but not least the adoption himdenburg. What do you think? Also been checking sites for a signed ring, but I need one that designs the crest as well. Any type in that? Thank s mate and keep up the good work.
Sebs
Thank god you mentioned the Amphibia. Dope list. I might add a Junghans to the collection.
I really like those retro digital Casio watches. Remember I had one when I was a kid.
Interesting list. I'm a sucker for Swiss made stuff so I'd have to put Hamilton and Grovana somewhere in the top 5. I do own an automatic Seiko Sea Urchin (the one I have was "made in Japan") which is also quite nice.
I found your channel maybe 2 weeks ago and i gotta say I've been addicted to your videos! Quick question what do you think about Akribos XXIV as a brand?
Thanks great video TGV.
Just had yobokies hands put on my skx! Love it and for ~ 200 dollars!
FANTASTIC! Very glad to hear, enjoy your modded SKX, so much more special to you right?!
Best regards,
TGV
P.s. Forgive me, I forgot to say thank you!
Being an owner of 20 tuning fork Accutrons, I agree with you that these are classic iconic watches. Two of mine are Spaceviews. In fact, it was a Spaceview that started me on the collection road. I still have that watch, and a very hard to find....dare I say rare.......Spaceview with a 14K white gold case. Even though they are small, I do love these watches. I made a video myself of my Accutron collection if you wish to view it. Just search on my user name.
Thank you for your videos. I'm enjoying them, having recently discovered your channel.
Learning so much about Horology from these videos. Great
Now hearing that, makes it all worth it!
Thank you sir.
Best regards,
TGV
Great video! Being vintage but easily found, I would have picked up any seiko 6139 as being, together with el primero, the first mass produced automatic chronograph out there. And for that price, a really affordable piece of history...
Hey TGV - any suggestion on a solid watch store that might carry a bunch of the brands you review? (Oris, sinn, Hamilton, squale, omega, Seiko, etc). It's tough to find a great one stop shop.
I'm sure a lot of purchase happen online but I'm hoping to see some in person first.
I'm in the NYC area so hoping 1 or 2 come to mind. Thanks man - cheers!
Great video. Thanks for putting it together.
Thank you Nitchell,
Best regards,
TGV
Skx13 or 0040 never had an automatic before,my luminox is falling apart on me,great videos by the way,do like the seiko alpanist mind👍
I'd add Swatch Sistem51 and Hamilton Field Khaki to the list in that range as well. That digital Casio is a shade insubstantial for my taste but Pulsar makes a similar watch with a metal case and more modern size.
Atomic Bean Sadly Swatch’s movement is a waste of everyone’s afternoon.
Fantastic video! I've fallen for the junghans!
Outstanding choice, you will love it!
Happy hunting, thank you.
Best regards,
TGV
That Max Bill is a great call. It checks so many boxes for a collection. Dressy, Bauhaus, not Swiss or Japanese. And to me a manual wind is the cheapest feature one could ever hope for. Lighter, possibly thinner. You pay less and get more. Interact with the watch daily in a way an automatic does not offer. One of the reasons I adore my Speedy.
GREAT video! thanks a lot for the information. Can i ask where did you buy your Accutron Spaceview Conversion ? Any recommended place you would probably tell?
Wonderful stuff. I will check out that Junghans as well.
Very glad to hear, thank you so much,
Best regards,
TGV
Love the addition of the theme from the movie Bullitt Lalo schifrin doesn't get enough love
That Seiko Giugiaro will sadly not be gaining value because Seiko said they will do a re-edition on that series in 2017. Still a great piece.
Thank you for the video !
Loved the intro.
yay new video
damn that last watch was dope! that sweeping second hand sweeps like the seiko spring drive. where can I get one of these??
Can you do a video on the most affordable slim watches? That should be right down your alley. Good show, sir!
EXCELLENT idea, I will certainly consider it.
Thank you,
Best regards,
TGV
Just bought the seiko,so pleased I have
What do you think about sea gull chinese watches? And about the moonphase in particular? Ar you going ti make any special?
Congratulation, i love the channel!!
