On Google Earth there's rail continuing into France - all looks disuded - did the tram go further into France from De Panne?
Those are old train tracks, not tram tracks.
This is the former train line from there to Dunkirk. Hasn't seen any passenger traffic for decades. Only goods traffic on the French side from Dunkirk to the steelworks in Leffrinckoucke. After repeated calls for a reopening by action groups on both sides of the border, the Belgians have removed a few meters of track right at the border in order to create facts.
