Thank you for that, brings back so many memories of all the years we spent travelling up & down on this tramline. We have stopped at many of the resorts along the line from De Panne to Knokke-Heist for walking by the sea, shopping, lovely lunches & of course fabulous Belgian beer! Missed it so much over the past two years. Great value too, last 5 day passes we bought were about 15 euros each if I remember and one can use the pass on trams & busses all over Belgium - proper integrated transport.
I loved the ride! Beautiful countryside, clean spaces and sensibly-planned architecture there. The tram is wonderful--the little bell clangs to scurry people along, but doesn't deafen anyone lol. I want to see more! Subscribing now.
Geweldige video, ik kan zo bijna de gehele route volgen en daarnaast wat kennis op doen van wat er zowel te zien is van de prachtige omgeving langs de rails. Ook is de toevoeging van de haltenamen heel erg fijn!!!

Fascinatingly good & interesting video, - hardly any passengers - (due I presume to Covid) - astounding amount of "tower cranes", - even more on the other part of the line.
Thanks for the nice video. But the streets and the beach are eerily empty...whenever I visited the Belgium coast in summer it was completely overrun. Did you produce the vid during a heavy corona lockdown or were there other reasons ? The new CAF trams seem to run much better than the Albatros Bombardier trams in Antwerpen and Gent. By the way, what's that strange noise before the stop at Lombardsijde Schoolstraat?

it can be between very hot and cold/rainy. Like the rest of Belgium, I assume. We had 35 degrees by the end of June, and then it started raining for some time and it was a bit over 20 degrees then. Some Summers in the last 5 yrs were dry and hot for prolonged time, and this one and the one in 2021 (I think) were cold and rainy
Ik merk dat er op dit traject flink wat wissels zijn, maar nagenoeg uitsluitend "rechtse" (om van het linkse spoor naar het rechtse te gaan) en -als ik het goed heb- nauwelijks één "linkse" (om van rechts naar links te gaan). Heeft iemand een zinvolle uitleg/verklaring daarvoor?
Deze wissels zijn voorzien voor als er enkel spoor dient te worden gereden wegens calamiteiten. Dan verspoord de tram achteruit naar het andere spoor en rijdt dan vooruit tot bv. de volgende wissel om terug naar het juiste spoor te gaan. Wissels zijn afrijdend geplaatst zodat men in normale situaties op snelheid over de wissel kan rijden. Oprijdend een wissel nemen moet aan 15 km/u.
Beste Jurgen vraagje gaat u ook keer met een bn tram filmen zoals de panne oostende en terug of oostende westende bad en terug met een bn tram ook zou wel mooi zijn groetjes uit Nederland

Deze blijven beschikbaar voor het drukke zomerseizoen omdat er dan geen trams meer uit Antwerpen en Gent overkomen."?? Ook heb ik op de website van TTO gezien dat ze onder hun collectie een BN hebben staan, zouden ze de 6025 gekocht of toegeschonken hebben gekregen?
Dit is op de 15 minuten frequentie, normaal voor juni. Momenteel (juli & augustus) rijden ze op 10 minuten frequentie en tussen Oostende en Westende-bad om de 5 minuten.

Sadly the pass is only valid on De Lijn now ie Vlaanderen. TEC in the other part of Belgium does not seem to have an equivalent.

When can we expect the section Oostende - Knocke? Great video. Very different from when I travelled this line in late 1960s.
