Thank You so much Tosin🔥🔥🔥!! This was an amazing competition and I am so glad to be part of this, playing among many great guitarists Wish you all the best!! 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘
Outstanding guitarists, for me have already succeeded after all the years of self research ! :) The growth of average technical guitar skills must have been highly encouraged by how easy it is today to find musical knowledge at any time from anywhere as long as you have internet, at least it's a beautiful side of how internet changed the world,
Standouts were Valentino and ....Momo (?)....and François and CT were "all around a good solution" as my graphic design professor used to be fond of saying during critiques 😂 Interesting phrasing and time...
1 Francois Chanvallon, 2 Liam Garcia, 3 Fardin Faiyaz would be my choice. I would not pick Mateus Schaffer because that's what a producer would pick, less is more. I come from the more is more background. I'd like to hear Liam on a baritone guitar.
Hey is this backing track still available? I didn't even know this was happening and this would be a cool track to have kicking around for when i feel like working on some improv
Tosin over there like: “is it hot in here? I feel like it’s getting hot in here now. Y’all turn the heat on?!” Lelllls sweet vid and congrats y’all! EDIT: Ivan had me in stitches when dude started harmonizing lol Ivan: “Harmonies…” Tosin: “Yeah……..that was cool cuz like, in a “contest” you kinda wanna like.,….win….?” Y’all had me rolling at that part lol
I think it's very tough to stand out in a field of such incredible players. It's a shame that the track itself drives a kind of same-ness in harmonic/mood choices. I think either the guy with the neck tats and glasses, or the guy with the harmonies stood out most for me. Edit: Also, with all but one or two exceptions, everyone's tone is nearly identical.
my equipment is much simpler than you think: an HX Stomp, two Boss Pedals (SD1 and BD2). I plug everything into a simple Roland GoMixer and record the audio really live through an Ipad. The camera is an old Canon SL2 that is no longer manufactured. The question is: it's 2023, the 21st century. It's even a matter of respect to send a video with the MINIMUM of acceptable quality.
@@mateusschaffer Since we're in the 21th century everyone has a MINIMUM acceptable quality on the videos, so talking about respect and MINIMUM quality doesn't make any sense since we ALL have a MINIMUM quality...so the true question is: these contests are a matter of video quality or a matter of what the player is playing? At this point and seeing by whom they've selected, I'd say it's a matter of video quality than the solo itself...also knowing the guy personally helps a lot on winning in these kind of stuff
What do you mean "high quality recording"? Plenty of these were shot on smartphones and it's easy to hear the strings of the non-amplified guitar bleeding into the recording. These aren't being shot in professional studios or anything.
@@brombeguy you are wrong about me at least. My solo was recorded absolutely live, without any audio editing. I recorded with the scheme I commented above.
Man, I need to work harder now. Ridiculous players everywhere nowadays. Unfortunately it reminds me of that saying in The Incredibles to paraphrase, when everyone is special no one is: I miss being surprised like I was when I heard Allan Holdsworth in the early 90’s. It was so far removed from the usual that is was a blinding beam of light is a dark room. Now the room is too bright to distinguish one beam from another. Not to undermine the talent here, it’s just desensitizing to my ears… it sounds like a competition and everyone wins at the same time.
The level of playing is so insanely high. This is the new age for guitar shredders. We can see people from all over the world ripping it up!
Thanks guys!! I'm Very happy and honored! 😍🤘🏻
The squeal harmonic and the use of the whammy bar at 16:13 to 16:22 * chef's kiss *
none of the other entries came close to your tone. fits the song perfectly and adds new flavors.
Representou o BR mano! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

Musicians like Tosin Misha Nolly and few others really helped the next gen of guitarists grow in talent and insight
Nolly is to this day so damn underrated for what he brought it
Thank You so much Tosin🔥🔥🔥!! This was an amazing competition and I am so glad to be part of this, playing among many great guitarists
Wish you all the best!! 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘
Wkwkland citizen
that solo was epic!
Dude youre a beast
Every player here completely smashed it
Thanks guys! I really appreciate!
Dude yours was the most unique I thought!
The fact that you can be that good at guitar and still not get a fulltime career out of it is terrifying
Honored to be in there, thanks for having me🤟
Thank you so much guys!!
Incredible job man. I would've voted for you if we had the chance!
Discovered some incredible players thanks to this video. Thank you so much!
Every single player did such an incredible job, thanks for the inspiration, and great video guys loved it
Big smile on me over here. Thanks!
More of this 🙏
Such a sick array of solos!!!

thanks tosin.. i'll never be able to impress anyone with wonderwall ever again
Love the matching haircuts, boys 🔱
Yeah! The bar is super high....great errey of talent!
Indonesia's President was a huge metal fan so im not surprised that everyone in Indonesia can wail
Standouts were Valentino and ....Momo (?)....and François and CT were "all around a good solution" as my graphic design professor used to be fond of saying during critiques 😂 Interesting phrasing and time...
The level of guitar playing is so elevated these days vs when i started lol!
Amazing, any of those entires could have won.
dope vid, would love to see more content like this and beautiful playing from all contestants!
16:08 that was brilliant
😊 🤘🏻🤘🏻😍

Sorry about that 😅
@@mateusschaffer but what do I know? Congrats 😄
i can imagine the feeling of Françoi, seeing Tosin reacting his playing. rssss
Excellent players and I enjoyed the chord progression of the track
They're all SO good
But the 3rd and the 3rd to last were my favorites
There's a certain feel to all of these guys soloing that I fucking adore, what mode are they rocking over the chords?
6:04 i saw this guy and didn't even bother to record for the challenge. scary playing ..and yeah he won strandberg challenge too.
congrats to you again and again ricky valentino.😎😘
The bar is so high well done.
This is what I see as Indonesian. Before K-Pop boom, guitar WAS music. Song without solo was considered strange.
Man, Andrew Barock killed it! Beautiful.
Yeah that was definitely one of the most beautiful ones here, just stunning harmonies all around
Im glad someone else thinks so too!@@xikaryo6735
Francois Chanvallon takes the cake for me
Tight. 🔥
Didn't bother to enter the contest after watching some of the entries, but Im enjoying that track a lot!!
people are still shredding out there, its reassuring.
Almost everybody’s more affordable lines of "shred style” guitars are made in Indonesia today, of course they have tons of shredders 🤷🏻♂️
Well needless to say that after witnessing such talented playing I won't be entering any contest anytime soon 😂
Hey is this backing track still available? I didn't even know this was happening and this would be a cool track to have kicking around for when i feel like working on some improv
Hussain and Fardin nailed it for me...
Fardin Faiyaz takes it by a mile man.
All of these dudes are fucking sick
Ricky KILLED that

Guitar - PUSZ GUITARS !
ggovan would have killed in this contest. This whole video smelled of his style.
The backing track has a very obvious feel of John Petrucci's "WISHFUL THINKING"
Idk who wins but anyone who can make Tosin make the face he makes at 6:49 has to have a shot
That dudes playing was just perfect
Most of the players were trying to create a resumé. Some of them were trying to create music.
I'm more impressed with the image sharpness. D A M N
Chopik looks like he's Vincent Laforet's twin brother.
The guy at 12:50 had some interesting rhythmic decisions for the track, and his volume was too loud, but his composition was maybe the best.
I agree
Sorry guys, but I think the brazilian dude was the best! Mateus Schaffer ftw
Thanks dude 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Every contest: "we don't look for high quality recording and video"
Always every contest: choose videos with amazing quality recording and video

You must be at some high level of acheivement to have Tosin and this guy react to your videos.
yall look like guitar center employees
Why did AAL cancel the european tour? There's still no information about the reason or when they'll reschedule the tour
Where do I get a shirt like Tosins?
So sick from everyone, also to have the confidence to send your stuff out for critique from Tosin Abasi.....i could never
why I hate instagram. I guess I will have to hunt for these on IG
i;m guessing who is coping who:) smae shirts , same rolexes:)
crazy skills impossible to reach

It's 2023 So who is the winner ? 😅
Max Ostro is the next level after John.
he wasn't mentioned in this video.
no need: he is beyond...
Zilio Alessandro my favorite!)))
