I'm in my 50s and my grandmother used to sing this to me when I was a small child. We used to watch the Twelfth on the television in the 1970s and she knew every loyalist song that was played.

I come from Ulster Scots protestants from Dervock in Antrim (The laughlins) and from Down and Armagh (The Harlan line)... I saw photos of Dervock a 98% protestant township with loyal murals... Despite this... I'm american in roots...
