- DC Heroes vs. DC Villains in a game of baseball! See, the Huntress is thinking about turning good. Her husband, the Sportsmaster, doesn't like that idea, so he says they'll play a game of baseball to decide it. They abduct a bunch of heroes and villains, including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Lex Luthor, and the Joker, and settle it on the diamond. Biggest takeaways? Black Canary is a slugger, and Superman stinks at baseball.
Each Tuesday, Flea Market Fantasy reviews a different comic book from the 1970s or 1980s, discussing the book's history, characters, and creators and breaking down the story and art. It's a humorous celebration of all things comics.
Flea Market Fantasy T-shirts are now available at merch.onenineb...

I love passion. I love comics. You guys are great
@zillakilla1618 Aw, thanks! Really appreciate the kind words. Just let us know if there are any books you'd like us to do.
Strange Sports Stories is a series of anthology shorts and a brief series that this is an homage to.
Thanks!
Mike Dell and Janks, this episode got a lot of views. Glad to see your show getting more attention. It's a great podcast. Please keep the episodes coming!
People love seeing how bad Superman is at baseball.
@@FleaMarketFantasy I remember reading a novel about Superman's lost years as a young man. He was trying to find himself and left home, rambling around like David Carradine's character in Kung Fu. I don't recall the title, but I thought he played for the minors for a bit in that book. Obviously, the author of that book did not read this comic.
@@StudioGallup He still would have been the best hitter on the Pittsburgh Pirates.
You cannot connect the dots on Freedom Fighters. Sometimes they're a part of Earth 1 History or they're on a completely different Earth (Earth X) where the Nazis won WWII. I never could make heads or tails about them.
Also that was a horrible price for a Giant Size comic. 2 years before Giants were 100 pages for 60 cents. What's this one? 48-60 I bet. Always felt cheated once comics went above 25 cents. They came out with Dollar comics shortly after which cost a dollar and had 80 pages. Better but way expensive for a preteen nerd with limited funds in the late 70s.
@@alancarnell2747 Yeah, we just did that Freedom Fighters episode, and I'm still thoroughly confused by their history. Probably just distracted by Phantom Lady's costume.
