Rich Paul drops some serious knowledge on how he negotiates max contracts and what it actually takes to be a max player, Cordae talks about why longevity and real fans in the rap game are most important, Druski discusses convincing his family of his dream to do comedy, and Steve Stoute gives insight on why corporations, conversely, need artists and creators, and that all money isn't good money. I like how they make the focus Cordae and Druski. The rest of the guys are made men but the focus is on the youth and those influencing the youth rn
Cool that they spoke on their “slights” and business flaws as made men as well. Picking up the gems from both side is critical. 💎
Well, all the made men are the end of their runs with the clients and partners who enabled them to be made… might as well figure out how to connect with, serve and guide the next wave.
Man, they should’ve had me on this shit. These fools don’t know shit. I never heard of them.
This sort of reminds me of a time when I tweeted Erykah Badu (I know that's kind of random). But I asked her if she had hope in the next generation that comes after them... and she simply said "You guys stand on our shoulders. u R our Eyes". Something that I'll never forget as I get older. I'm also glad that they brought up the idea of when THEY realized that they were smarter than their parents. lol It just goes to show the amount of humility that some successful people are able to gain when they realize that they're still able to learn... ESPECIALLY from younger generations. They each probably have multiple books of experiences and lessons that they can pass down to all of us. But they've come to realize that the younger generations also have a completely different set of books of experiences that they will probably never get to experience themselves. I just love that they showed a great amount of modesty by highlighting Cordae and Druski's knowledge and perspectives.
@@PayMeNoMind
the "made men" that are here on this episode, have ALREADY figured out how to connect with the "next wave" ..
EACH one TEACH one
Cordae thanking the barber just shows how he treats people 💯
Bingo
I thought everyone thanked their barber 😂
bro you fr?
Bare minimum got you glazing that man
usually the barber💈 gets a TIP ..
Rich Paul is a very calculated and calm individual. Those qualities definitely make him a dominant agent!
💯
That... on top of making sure the athlete comes first before the money. That type of consideration and understanding that NOTHING happens or can come to happen without the well being of the people he represents first, is probably the most admirable quality of anybody in the world of agents/management. I feel like everybody gets so caught up in making sure that they are taken care of, that they forget that (like he mentioned) they are in the SERVICE business. I love that he brought up telling his kid to work in the restaurant industry first if they plan on becoming an agent. It just shows how much awareness he has of what his profession actually means to the people he's working for.
I remember a few years ago existing agents feared him. They even tried to implement rules with the league to block him.
Hes inspiring for sure... tryna be the next Rich
So true!
I love how Rich and Steve were taking in what each other was saying… extremely smart business men
When Druski spoke to consistency, that’s the biggest thing. Working through hardship and not getting detoured
“Comparisons are the thief of joy” Rich Paul is a smart guy.
Definitely getting that tatted
First time you ever heard that?
@@hoodfellah yup
he not dropping gems . we all know this lol
@@deonteirvin6130 I don’t. I’m new to this

You the fan that meet'em and say . " Tell me a joke 😁 " 😂😂
@@kingdutchie1792
like Druski just said > you gotta PAY him for his jokes .. (they're not "free")
@@kingdutchie1792 no literally bro lmfao
Steve Stoute needs his own show.
*You have to walk with certainty when it's constant uncertainty*
He’s need a whole network bro. Let him cook.
Smh
As a person trying to become a sports with no college degree Rich hopefully someday I'll be joining you
@@Amiguel787 just curious… what’s your cheat code to get around the degree requirement? Paul had LeBron and LeBron’s leverage in contract negotiations to use to gain his experience.
How do you plan to be able to be exposed to NBA contract language and negotiating?
Had an athlete that stop playing basketball 😂😂😂 Rich talking about Ben Simmons
Steve Stoute is like Tommy from Martin. No one really knows what he do, he got an executive job of some sort but he is everywhere 😂
Everyone who knows music know what Steve Stoute does
Steve Stoute connects the dots! He puts artists with brands! Justin Timberlake with McDonald's & 50 Cent/Jay-Z/Daddy Yankee & with Reebok!

Great Episode!!! Rich Paul is the 1!!!
My twin brother got me watching The Shop podcast a few weeks ago and now I'm hooked and so grateful!
About today's show, Wow, loved the pod today! Your guests were a great mix and you guys asked some really good questions. I learned a lot about Cordae and appreciated that he stays true to his craft and his audience. As for the Druski whom I didn't know because I'm not in that world, it was a joy to hear about his humble beginnings. His family sounded like most black and brown families 😂! Steve Stoute drops some major gems on entrepreneurship, it's challenges and knowing when's the right time to do a collaboration or not. Now Rich Paul was so impressive. His expertise in the business was quite palpable in his verbiage and amazing to hear 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾! It's no wonder he has been so successful!
So much respect for everyone's perspective in this. I'm really loving this show
Bruh Rich Paul was cold ash. This was a GREAT episode one of the best they have had. Druski fire, Cordae Fire, everyone fire

Steve Stoute... I remember when I went to an event LAST NIGHT... his life has to be 98% on the go to get that line off
I thought I was the only one that caught that 😂 Stoute be living a wild life on the go. He be surprised he sitting down for so long but he’s always working, and working the room.
Comparisons are the thiefs of joy. That's 16 bars alone

Great episode, Stoute and Rich Paul were talking real shit. But boy, was that Grey Goose ad placement not subtle 😭
I just definitely started having more respect for cordae just by the way he was soaking in that knowledge
favorite podcast! could you guys have Cole Bennet come on for us in filmmaking
That man said I keep 99% and they keep 1%. Wowwwwwwww. 😂
Comparisons are the thief of Joy.. Sheesh Rich!!
That was a bar, especially the follow up that elaborates it.
When he said that,it is situational.
That's the contextual nature of life.
Never remove nor forget to add context,or you can't objectively make sense of it.
Thank you
