Red Bull likely includes ingredients like caffeine, taurine, and B vitamins in its formula to boost energy and improve mood. Caffeine is well-known for its ability to increase alertness and energy by stimulating the central nervous system. Taurine, an amino acid, may help enhance physical performance and cognitive function. The B vitamins in Red Bull also play a role in converting food into energy, which can help elevate your overall mood and energy levels.
The Sugar-Free version of Red Bull provides these benefits without added sugars, which some people prefer for maintaining stable blood sugar levels while still getting that energy boost.
It's great that you've found a version of Red Bull that works well for you! The combination of ingredients is designed to give that quick pick-me-up, both mentally and physically.

I wonder if doctors take all the natural things we can benefit from but don't tell us because of big pharma restrictions.

    • @Todicamp
      @Todicamp  2 місяці тому +1

The notion that doctors withhold information about beneficial natural treatments due to restrictions from "big pharma" is a complex and controversial topic. Here's a nuanced view:
      ### Evidence-Based Medicine
Doctors are generally trained to practice evidence-based medicine, which means they rely on treatments that have been scientifically tested and proven to be effective and safe. This includes both pharmaceutical drugs and natural remedies. Many natural treatments lack the rigorous clinical testing that pharmaceuticals undergo, making it difficult for doctors to recommend them confidently.
      ### Regulation and Safety
The pharmaceutical industry is highly regulated to ensure the safety and efficacy of medications. Natural remedies and supplements are often less regulated, which can lead to variability in quality and efficacy. Doctors may be cautious in recommending these due to the potential for inconsistent results and safety concerns.
      ### Influence of Pharmaceutical Companies
It's true that pharmaceutical companies have significant influence in the medical field, including funding research and education. This can sometimes lead to a bias towards pharmaceutical treatments. However, many doctors prioritize patient care and are open to recommending natural remedies if there is credible evidence supporting their use.
      ### Integrative Medicine
There is a growing field of integrative medicine, which combines conventional medical treatments with evidence-based natural therapies. Many doctors who practice integrative medicine actively recommend natural treatments alongside pharmaceuticals.
      ### Patient Advocacy
Patients are encouraged to discuss all treatment options, including natural remedies, with their doctors. A transparent dialogue can help ensure that patients receive holistic and comprehensive care.
      ### Summary
While the pharmaceutical industry does have a significant influence, many doctors are committed to recommending the best treatments for their patients, whether they are pharmaceutical or natural. The key is the availability of solid evidence supporting the safety and efficacy of the treatments.

I think that most doctors have no or very little knowledge about nutrition through natural products. It's not included or extremely limited in the medical education. Big Pharma just teaches them to be drug pushers!!! If doctors don't do their own research on natural medicinal foods, they will not get it from someone else.
honestly, how many family doctors are even WILLING to discuss a natural healing method???????

Knowing these functions which taurine has in the body doesn't tell us how well, or if, this is beneficial as a supplement . Like many things on YT it's interesting but there isnt the scientific support to cover numerous large steps, possibly leaps, between the facts we have and any definitive benefit. The video gives good advice on what additives to avoid in ingredients, etc..,

Studies use between 3-6 grams. Since taurine goes down with age, the older you are the more you need to supplement. I am 70 and take 6 grams- if I were 30 years younger, I would take half that much.

I like Taurine powder by Life Extension but as long as your supplements don't have things like maltodextrin and magnesium stearate, it is a better choice for any supplement. If you are not vegan there are some supplements that only use a gelatin capsule and that is far preferable to the vegan capsules with tons of fillers included in the supplement. But pure powder instead of pre-made capsules avoids all the fillers. I add it to a cold liquid or applesauce (hot liquids can denature proteins if not careful). And when you take any amino acid supplement, it should be on an empty stomach because if you take it with a protein meal, it just gets washed away in the rest of the protein. That's general rule of thumb for quality of any supplement, but do your own research.

@@NonameSam-yd9hq Thank you for sharing your insights on taurine powder and supplement quality! You make some excellent points about avoiding fillers like maltodextrin and magnesium stearate. Pure powder supplements can indeed be a great choice to minimize unwanted additives. Your tip about mixing with cold liquid or applesauce is helpful, as is the advice on taking amino acids on an empty stomach for better absorption. It's always important to do thorough research and choose high-quality supplements. Thanks again for your valuable input!
